Do you have a comprehension problem? My statement neither agreed with yours nor did it disagree entirely with it.

I carefully used some words you can verify its meaning in my post..."absolutely untrue" and "not entirely true".

When you learn that the social media space is a career field while fast changes will keep occurring, then you'll understand the reason for the current trend. I equally stated somewhere that "Data analytics" is an area where employers are now recently seeking new talents for social media. Now relate all that!

You can't be working for big brands like McDonalds or Zappos and you tell me they'll post vacancies with such job descriptions?

it is equally an extensive field as well (other than the usual manipulation of visual tools e.g adobe, visio, we also have expert designers who are UX, UI or just Interface designers at best). Just how much of all these do you think you need to learn to become a top professional social media person or a very good designer?

So stating that you'll need to learn graphics design to be relevant as s social media specialist in future is not entirely true.

PS: You may as well need to learn what I think will prove most critical to a social media career person which is - Data analytics (The ability of using data to generate insights that can help you make/take well informed decisions on behalf of the organisation you're working for)
