Career › Re: Travelling To Canada And Starting A Pure Water Business In Nigeria. by mayo47(m): 5:23pm On Jun 02, 2018 |
My thoughts,
There ares still quite a number of viable businesses in Nigeria. (All balls down to your business strategy)
Why pure water busines? (Well you Know best)
Whatever business you intend to pursue please do a feasibility report. If its feasible proceed to do a business plan & a realistic financial model (A business consultant can help with this)
The economics around Canada at the moment might not make it easy with settling down there as it used to be. You can look at New Zealand & Australia instead.
All the best, |

Appliedmaths: Mr OP, your 9million divided into 4 quarters of FG treasury bills with a min if 10% interest rate would fetch you about 900k * 4 yearly while you keep strolling to your contract job knowing you're functioning on full cylinders.
What you're feeling now is all in your head, don't squander that 9mill only to regret tomorrow oooo. For someone like me that loves risk, I'll multiply that 9mill by 3 given 1 year tops.
Study the pure water biz intoto but I believe there are more lucrative venture to multiply that cash. Oga, this your calculation get K+Y leg. Re-check because this isnt true |

Impact of mischevious Nigerians in diaspora. I guess this is gaining momentum because of the recent information of Canada immigration reaching out to the American embassy in Lagos as more Nigerians enter Canada illegally from the U.S.
We need to stop this follow follow syndrome

Uyiii: Well sowore, let us be very realistic, in as much as a whole lot of us never and don't want bubu anymore, the man will surely win again. That's just the sad pathetic truth, politics is a game right- 'a game of death'.
Buhari had the effrontery to threaten Nigerians with sorrow, tears and blood if he doesn't out run Jonathan. If he could think and spew that then, so you think he will relinquish power on a platter of gold when he's seated already.
The only thing that'll make buhari not finish what Nigerians brought on themselves is gonna be a natural course maybe death or a very severe sickness, anything aside that say the electoral processes is not gonna be very impossible. You & your thoughts are one of Nigeria problem. Fortunately we live in the world of possibilities |

SaintChukz: Do you have a comprehension problem? My statement neither agreed with yours nor did it disagree entirely with it.
I carefully used some words you can verify its meaning in my post..."absolutely untrue" and "not entirely true".
When you learn that the social media space is a career field while fast changes will keep occurring, then you'll understand the reason for the current trend. I equally stated somewhere that "Data analytics" is an area where employers are now recently seeking new talents for social media. Now relate all that! Your first words" Mscheww" "Funny"( then what does it depict. If you were took a neutral position you wouldnt gave used any) Now go back and read your first to my trend story. Then call a well tutored third party to ask who has a comprehension challenges. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: The Salary Of A Social Media Manager. by mayo47(m): 9:38am On Mar 31, 2018 |
SaintChukz: There is a reason why you called it a trend in one of your replies...right? The reason they're doing this is for cost effectiveness, but they also know they're sacrificing something for that - professionalism!
Good...this silly trend for our local labour market (employers) will also pass when they learn what they're doing is not professional. Get it? So you stylishly trying to agree to my first post on this thread. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: The Salary Of A Social Media Manager. by mayo47(m): 9:36am On Mar 31, 2018 |
SaintChukz: Mscheww...you're very funny. Sharing a few screen shots proves nothing. Tell me where else in the world would you see a job description like this? If not Nigeria where they want you to be the (web designer, graphics designer and social media executive) all in one person. Now...reason this to yourself, how will such a person ever attain full professionalism in what he does knowing fully well they need to focus on their strongest attributes to give the best results. You can't be working for big brands like McDonalds or Zappos and you tell me they'll post vacancies with such job descriptions?
Please desist from using "Nigerian employers" slaving manipulative tendencies to forecast the future. We are not even progressing along with the world as at now. Lol. Are you asking me ? Ask from the Labour market? As I said earlier they determine what happens. So what other prove am I suppose to give you links to the screen shot. To be honest, you just like the average nairalander who find it difficult to attest to the truth. Well unfortunately for you its also obtainable outside Nigeria.

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: The Salary Of A Social Media Manager. by mayo47(m): 9:05am On Mar 31, 2018 |
SaintChukz: This is absolutely untrue. Social media is a full blown career that entails a whole lot on its own - it cuts across different specialties - social media(analyst, content writer, manager, etc). For graphics design - it is equally an extensive field as well (other than the usual manipulation of visual tools e.g adobe, visio, we also have expert designers who are UX, UI or just Interface designers at best). Just how much of all these do you think you need to learn to become a top professional social media person or a very good designer?
So stating that you'll need to learn graphics design to be relevant as s social media specialist in future is not entirely true.
PS: You may as well need to learn what I think will prove most critical to a social media career person which is - Data analytics (The ability of using data to generate insights that can help you make/take well informed decisions on behalf of the organisation you're working for) I don't do stories. All facts

There's a new trend in the Labour market, I just want to give this advice. Most companies now merge Social Media roles & Graphics designer role. So if you intend pursuing Social Media as a career go learn graphics design to be relevant in future |
