HealthRe: Nigeria’s Actions Seem To Contain Ebola Outbreak -New York Times by MayorofLagos(m): 2:57pm On Oct 01, 2014
Nigerians live a disorderly, scary and risky life. Ebola came saw that it had no chance of thriving in this hell hole and so it took off to go find a more orderly place to settle in.

I love the passion and articulation in SAFARIGIRL....she is a fighter, a beautiful one too. grin

She turned me off with her closure asking us to fight forNigeria.

If today wasn't Nigeria's birthday I would say some nasty things about this country. angry

thwarrior72: Op get it into ur empty cranium....u can't fight for Nigeria & succeed, it will amount to effort in futility. Nigeria is not a nation, but country made up of nations. We don't believe in one thing, neither do we have a common destiny or aspiration. We are divided along religious and tribal lines

Don't liken us or ever envisage that what worked in Egypt,Tunisia and Ghana will ever work here. The citizens of these nations believed in one goal & hence speak with thesame voice. Unlike Nigeria, where an average northern is more concern about his imported Islamic religion ahead of his well-being & hence is tilted towards sharia & how to establish Islamic caliphate(BH as a case study) Two can only work together only if they agree and we are yet to agree on what should be our priority,if It's religion or fight for a balanced Nigeria that will respect the right of it citizen to practice whatever they believe without harassment & were meritocracy would be enshrined & appointment is given on merit instead of quarter system.

Our best shot at getting a better & working Nigeria is rigionalism or conference like Scotland did
I endorse this message!
PoliticsRe: Happy Independence Day To All Yorubas, Hausa's & Every Other Tribe Present On NL by MayorofLagos(m): 1:47pm On Oct 01, 2014
Today is not Yoruba birthday, this is Nigeria birthday.

...and because Yorubaland is the founding of humanity, everyday is Yoruba birthday.
PoliticsRe: Pls Let's Share This Till It Gets To Fashola And The Lagos Police Commisioner by MayorofLagos(m): 1:42pm On Oct 01, 2014
Op, may your brother rest in peace.

your story is touching and there are people that can fight your cause and will not demand a penny from you. One of them is Sahara Reporters. They are investigative journalists and love to uncover atrocities against society. They will probe this case on all sides....but becareful, make sure your brother was clean also and was not the instigator and provoker of this disorder. In cases like this it is easy to view the deceased as a victim but when truth surfaces we see things differently.

Good luck.

Ask any Ibo person why he is in Yorubaland and he will tell you because Nigeria gives him the right to be.

In other words, if Nigeria did not exist, Ibo would be powerless and would not have had the interests and access in Yorubaland that he enjoys today.

Therefore, in Yorubaland, what has become of Ibo today is due in large part to facilitation via the Nigerian law.

This raises two questions,
1. Pre Nigeria, did Ibo exist in Yorubaland?
2. Who were the first documented Ibos in Yorubaland?
PoliticsRe: The Igbo Project by MayorofLagos(op): 4:44am On Oct 01, 2014
We are the vanguards of a mission started decades ago by those who laboured and struggled with blood and sacrifice to make fatherland the single unifying entity and bonding spirit for all of Oduduwa dynasties and descendants.

We proclaim Yorubaland the domain and abode of an Imperial power superior to any land and people anywhere else on the continent of Africa.

The commonwealth of Yoruba nations is today the lighthouse that guide those whose boats are without rudders. They paddle their troubled boats to our shore for safety and provisions. In the opposite shores they are drowned but in our shores they find rescue and salvation.

May the colorful bow of Orunmila continue to be a lasting covenant for the descendants of "omo ti Luwa bi", Ase!

The dews of Irunmole on our fatherland shall ever and forever be an exclusive blessing, and never shall any nation beside us be endowed with its favors, Ase!

All peoples shall bend on the knees and bow at the waist in homage and submission to Yorubaland, may Oduduwa descend and settle this into being, Ase!

Forever shall the world look upon us with admiration and favors, may Oranmiyan spread and broadcast this message, Ase!
PoliticsRe: When You Are In Lagos, You Are Almost In Nigeria.... Goodluck Jonathan by MayorofLagos(m): 1:04pm On Sep 30, 2014
henchamb: i saw this video of president jonathan addressing PDP supporters in Lagos last 2 weeks and he Said when you are in Lagos, You are almost in Nigeria. am confused with this statement. does this mean that lagos is not in nigeria or that mr prsident is really clueless. how can a ph.d holder misconstrue his statement. your views please.
Politically, Yorubaland is a nation all by itself.....we happen, geographically, to be in a pseudo-relationship with another political body called Nigeria.

Descartes: If I tell you the damage your tribe has done to many Financial Institutions, you will be ashamed to be called a Yoruba. angry
financial institutions are businesses registered to trade speculative indexes for profit/loss. Some people gain and some people loose in that legitimate business. Yoruba gained.

You cannot compare legitimate business run by Yoruba with shady business run by Ibos who lay in wait for unsuspecting victims to shorn.
PoliticsRe: Silly Ohanaeze Again by MayorofLagos(m): 5:03am On Sep 30, 2014
Enwo-Igariwey said
it was imperative for our people to repatriate their
working wealth and invest it at home (Ala-Igbo).

Was the criminal wealth earned in alaigbo? NO!!
You must pay a portion of what you earned in Yorubaland back to Yoruba citizens.

There is no free market in Nigeria.
