1)The main challenge I face is Traffic!!!!
I spend between 4 to 5 hrs daily traversing myself from my house to work and back. on a bad day maybe during RCCG + MFM event period, sometimes i spend 7hrs in traffic!!! Many Lagosians are in my shoe. I believe it should not be this bad. The effect of this stress on our health i bad. Many Lagosians are Hypertensive.

Badly Organized Public transportation. Why should Danfos be our main stay of Public Transportation. For God sake This is 2014!!!

SOCIAL DEVELOPMENTS

Chief Awolowo built a blueprint and doctrines for social developments in Yorubaland. In 1960, shortly before Nigerian independence he wrote an article in which he berated the colonial Governor Generals and declared that in just 10yrs and in collaboration with Yoruba leaders he, as Premier, had implemented and installed throughout the Western region a success story of varied social developments that the colonial government cannot match in its 100yr history in Yorubaland (1860 to 1960).

We need a team of Governors in the entire Commonwealth of Yorubaland that will adopt Awolowo's doctrines and visions for Yorubaland. In the current team, only Aregbesola and Amosun had succeeded in doing so.

In Lagos, Fashola failed the test. Fashola was chasing after the colonial template that Awolowo declared was a failure.

We need a Governor in Lagos that will champion Awo's doctrine for social development in Yorubaland.

Nollywood has come to stay and waxing stronger as the day goes by to the extent that other countries want to associate with the industry which has contributed immensely to the growth of the Nigerian economy.

In analyzing how the growth of the make-belief industry has been rapid in terms of growth, many would say thanks to the English aspect of Nollywood, while some will say the Yorubas and others would want to settle for the Kannywood, but whatever aspect it is, Nollywood is Nollywood.
You will agree with me that a non-Yoruba person who does not even understand the language, will find it saddening to decode what they are saying because the translation sometimes does not conform with what the actors are saying and sometimes it is not all what the actor is saying that is being translated. The few translation they manage to give is always spelt wrongly and could be misleading at times.

You will agree with me that in terms of good story line, we have to give it to the Yoruba movies. They are very good at telling the story the natural or native way. But is faced with the challenge of relaying it with good English translation which i feel could be better if adequate attention is given to it.

can you please provide samples of words that were mis-translated and the specific movie in which this occurred?

A Nnewi-based businessman, Ihejirika, committed suicide when his HIV test result he undertook at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH) Nnewi, came positive.

When late Ihejirika found out on Tuesday, June 10, that he was a HIV-positive, he cried and subsequently cut off his throat with a sharp kitchen knife, slumped and died immediately.

It was gathered that Ihejirika's relatives came to visit him at hospital, but when they didn't find him on his hospital bed they raised the alarm. The body of Ihejirika was discovered at the back of the central pharmacy of the hospital, lying dead in a pool of his blood, with a sharp kitchen knife in his right hand.

The deceased was the only son of his parents residing at Otolo Nnewi in Anambra State from where he was admitted to the hospital. He was said to be doing well in his motorcycle spare parts business and was from Abo Mbaise, in Imo State.

Ihejirika's wife and his neighbors in Otolo Nnewi refused to make any comments on the matter.

At the Central police station in Nnewi, the police also refused to talk but advised to visit the police headquarters in Awka, where the PPRO, Mr Emeka Chukwuemeka, (DSP) said the report had not reached them.
