A resident of Aba, Abia State, has sent a Save Our Soul message to Vanguard Newspapers, asking the management to help project their frustration in respect of infrastructure decay in the state and South East zone in general to the outside world through one of its new products, South East Voice.

The citizen, Nwokocha Madugba, in the petition, entitled, ‘Come over to Macedonia and help us,” quoting Acts 16:9, said:  “I read with delight the eight-page pull-out magazine, tagged South East Voice in the Vanguard Newspapers of Wednesday, September 24, 2014, and to commend you for your selfless service in creating such pages solely dedicated to unravelling developmental shortcomings in the various institutions in the South East of Nigeria.

“It is like giving a people without voice a voice which speaks for them because the three nationally read newspapers with ownership base from the South-East never, as at date, found it worthy to dedicate even a page solely to report of the abandonment or near lack of infrastructure development  in the South Eastern states of Nigeria or the decay to which the existing ones had suffered over the years to the detriment of the people.

“This could be in the areas of flooding, erosion, road, water, health. agriculture, education among others, except to praise the non-performing governments of our time.

“Like the earliest Corinthian Christians did cry to Apostle Paul ‘ to come over to Macedonia and help us,’ I am by this piece, urging you to come over to Abia State, particularly Aba, and help us highlight the decay to which the current Abia State Government has made of the city, given that the people have been forced to live in squalor, with abject poverty written all over their faces.

4. US wants Kashamu to come and and answer questions in court over heroin smuggling. Why wasn't Kashamu in the SW PDP entourage that paid visit to Oba of Lagos? Where is he anyway....? It's not only US looking for him, Obasanjo is looking for him as well.
