Politics / Re: Insecurity: Sunday Igboho Is A Child Of Circumstance -Akeredolu by MayorofLagos(m): 1:21am On Feb 16, 2021
EgobiambuEmmanuel:
Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State believes that Sunday Adeyemi “Igboho” is a child of circumstance, noting that the situations that led to his interventions in security issues should be examined.

“Sunday Igboho is a child of circumstance. We must look at the circumstance that led to each of these interventions,” the Chairman of the South-West Governors’ Forum said on Monday during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today.

Akeredolu noted that “There are things that we do at times that you have to know what led to them. Those circumstances might not be justifiable, might not be legal, but again when you look at it, you’ll know we are a child of circumstance.”

The governor who was elected for a second term in office in October 2020, however, admitted that he does not support illegality and people taking laws into their hands.

“I for one, I’ve always said that I will not support anyone taking laws into his own hands. That’s why I had to go to Ibadan,” the governor, 64, explained.

“That’s why I will go to every other place in the South-West to preach about illegality and that we are against illegal actions. We are not for it at all.”

Igboho had risen to prominence after he issued a quit notice to criminal herders in Oyo State accused of crimes in the area.

Oyo State has in recent times been at the centre of clashes between groups, the latest being the violence at the Shasha market in Akinyele Local Government Area of Ibadan, the state capital.

A Call For Calm

Akeredolu had in the wake of the clash, called for calm, urging residents not to take the laws into their hands.

“We do not support violence and in particular, brigandage, jungle justice and unnecessary self-help,” he said.

“We note with delight, the efforts of our brother Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde of Oyo State who has taken very bold steps to stave off the further escalation of the violence by imposing curfew in the affected areas.”

What law and illegality is Akeredolu talking about? This is rubbish talk abeg, make this man park for one corner. It is nonsense talk like this that make fulani think they are above everyone.

What legality or law allows police and army to flog and torture citizens who refused fulani grazing access on their personal farm?

Has Akeredolu gone to Yewa to address army and police illegality?

These leaders are crazy. They only have mouth to reprimand Yoruba, when fulani violate law they cant talk. This man went with Makinde to go appease seriki fulani in Sasa before they had paid visit to Baale. Who should be their first point of call, the Baale, who is head of the domain, or the seriki who leads settlers on the domain?

Akeredolu has his priorities wrong. Igboho is not a child of circumstance, he is purposeful and courageous. Akeredolu, get lost, and shut up! Stop throwing Yoruba under bus to shift pressure from Abuja. Awon agba osi!

Northern Govs arrive in Oyo ke? L'oto? To do what exactly? What's their mission?

We are dealing with criminals and Northern govs are visiting, do they want Yorubaland to become Niger, Zamfara, Kano, Kebbi, where they compensate criminals with "repentant" labels?

There will be no repentant criminal in SW. Commit crime and get the bullet, not reward.
We no longer recognize Nigerian law, it aids criminality and reward crime and terrorism.

Like I have said severally, LCC is also a victim in all of these. They were doing their business until the Endsars protesters forcefully hijacked their premises for the purpose of the protest.

Despite the fact that LCC committed no crime, their business premises were burnt down by the protesters. LCC also deserve justice.

FSARS can also say its a victim, it was created for good of society but railroaded by bad eggs.

Infact, miyetti allah can make similar claim of innocence. It's a victim of bad press caused by ak47 totting herdsmen.

Don't forget, shakau is also innocent, he was a muslim scholar, if army had not killed his cleric, Yussuf, they would not have protested and there would not have been bokoharam.

I could vividly recall when the governor of Oyo state sue for peace during the ibarapa issue. He made sure and prevented this same killings in ShaSha fro happening in Ibarapa and it's environs about 2weeks ago. But the singular act of the the governor never went down well with my fellow yorubas home and abroad.

Some even tagged him as fulani slave and all sort of names back then just for protecting the citizen's without minding your ethnic background.

Nairaland was filled with so much disdain topics on front-page , Facebook videos castigating Seyi makinde for preventing same massacre we witnessed today . Almost every Yorubas was against Seyi during that fracas and even the northerners he was protecting back then never bothered to praise him for that singular act .

Instead of Seyi to receive praises ,He got bashes from left and right . And now comes another version of ibarapa saga in ShaSha market. Its something Seyi would have honorably prevented.

But my intuition tells me that perhaps he has done same thing he did during the ibarapa saga at ShaSha. Same yorubas would have started creating topics left and right to castigate him and tagged him as a fulani slave again.

But it baffles me when I saw my fellow Yorubas now castigating Seyi makinde for the ShaSha issue , Have you all suddenly lost your mind how you bullied this same man for supporting and guiding against wanton killings during the ibarapa saga.

Seyi makinde would have think twice now and decided you all should do what you believed Is the best . Now The killings has happened ,The northerners are wailing now but you lots forgot to be on the side on Seyi during the ibarapa saga when he prevented the same massacre , You all believed he would have the boldness to stop the killings abi , so that the same yoruba hyporcites would come out again with sahara reporters and start reporting how he has been fed with hausa slot or because he was eyeing the presidency abi. . . .
[/s]

Seyi did not stop killings in Shasa. Seyi cannot stop killing anywhere, he does not have power over federal security force. Many of the mysteries sorrounding power in governors office have been unraveled and we can see these governors are just glorified administrators. They cant even act without forst getting authorization from Abuja. If they do act unilaterally then Abuja will challenge them with constitution, and they back down from their action. So they have no power to resolve confrontations without Abuja sending its forces. Please stop giving Makinde undeserved credits and most important STOP accusing Yoruba wrongly.

Makinde went with Akeredolu to go and visit seriki fulani of Sasa to commiserate with him. The people blocked them and told them Hausa is not the victim, Yoruba is victim and forced them to go instead to visit the Yoruba Baale and commiserate with him over his loss.

Get your facts right, and FCK MAKINDE!

Buhari Vows to Deal Decisively With ESN, Igboho, Others Over Quit Notice, Ethnic Violence

President Muhammadu Buhari has vowed that his government will protect all religious and ethnic groups, whether majority or minority in line with its responsibility under the constitution, IgbereTV reports.

In a reaction to reports of breakout of violence in some parts of the country by some ethnic and sectional groups, President Buhari warned that the government will not allow any ethnic or religious group to stoke up hatred and violence against other groups.

In a press statement sent to IgbereTV by Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to the President (Media & Publicity), the President condemned such violence and gave assurance that his government will act decisively to stop the spread of any such violence.

He appealed to religious and traditional leaders as well governors and other elected leaders across the country to join hands with the Federal Government to ensure that communities in their domain are not splintered along ethnic and other primordial lines.

There are two lineages - Akinsemoyin, Kutere. Kutere has been sitting on throne but it is not true to say as you did that kutere is the exclusive lineage to kingship.

Forget that and focus on Tinubu. Which compound for Agarawu hin belong?
Politics / Re: Tinubu Is An Indigine Of Lagos State by MayorofLagos(m): 4:44am On Feb 13, 2021
Biodun556:
Mother of Bola Hammed Tinubu was from Agarawu, Lagos Island. He was born and bred in Lagos.

Yorubas are accommodating and their culture is very flexible.

Lineage of Saraki family has been traced to Abeokuta. Lateef Jakande first civilian Governor of Lagos was from Oro, Kwara State.

Rauf Aregbesola mother was from Osun while the father was not according to an account. Ambode father is from Ondo, the mother from Epe, Lagos.

Many Yoruba traditional rulers and chiefs were from mother side.

The royal family of Lagos was from Erelu Kuti lineage; a female whose husband was an Ijesha man from a present Osun state.

OBA ADO (1630-1669)
Oba ado, the son of ashipa took over the leadership role played by his father in 1630 during his own reign, he was elevated to an Oba and was crown as the king of Lagos by the Oba of Benin. Oba ado became the first Oba of Lagos. Oba ado had three children,2 males and 1 female. They include
(Gabaro, Akinsemoyin, and Erelu Kuti).Oba ado ruled for 39years. He joined his ancestor in 1669 and his first son Gabaro succeeded him.
OBA GABARO (1669-1704)
Oba Gabaro was installed in 1669 after his father death.

OBA ELETU-KEKERE (1749)
Oba Eletu kekere succeeded Oba akinsemoyin(his uncle).Oba eletu kekere was the only son of Oba
Gabaro, during his reign, he had no child and died within the year he was installed as the
Oba.therefore ending the lineage of Oba gabaro. After his death, there was controversy on who to succeed the throne, because Oba akinsemoyin had no son. Erelu kuti the sister of akinsemoyin is also a female and it is not possible for a female to succeed the throne. The only option was to choose the son of Erelu kuti to succeed the throne. Erelu kuti has two son’s (Ologun-kutere & sokun). The eldest son Ologun-kutere was chosen to succeed the throne. He had 6 children “Eshinlokun, Adele, Akitoye, Olusi,
Akiolu, and Olukoya”.he joined his ancestor in 1775 and was succeeded by his son ADELE.

If you are not from Ologun Kutere you can not become Oba of Lagos.

The bold is not true, but let us return to topic.

For Tinubu, which compound in Itagarawu?

UPDATE: Lost Young Girl Found In Abeokuta, Ogun State. Please Let's Locate Her Family.
Good day everyone. I have been quite busy at work and that was why I could not respond to many callers reaching out to me. Doyin Olowu’s case is currently being handled by an NGO a colleague of mine (who is a Social Worker) reached out to. The NGO is called Gender Development Initiative (www.initiatives4kids.org). They have done a good job of networking for temporary shelter for Doyin with plans for her family tracing. They made me understand that for an enriched life for her, there is still need for financial and other forms of assistance towards her proper rehabilitation. Their office is at No 7, Mariam Adetoro Avenue beside Brake Master, Leme, Abeokuta, Ogun State. You can also reach out to them on 08033469577 (Prof. Olubunmi Ashimolowo), 08038189584 (Rhoda) and gendistaff@gmail.com for enquiries and more information.
I am sorry I had to refuse giving out my personal account details (for financial assistance for Doyin Olowu) for obvious reasons. I appreciate all who called to request for means of supporting her. I am sincerely not in any position to receive money on her behalf. I have however been informed that all forms of financial assistance for Doyin can be directed to the NGO’s official bank account and tagged as "Olowu".
Account Name: Gender Development initiative
Account Numbers:
0992004227 --- Ecobank
0992007417 --- Ecobank
0992007455 --- Ecobank
0992007493 --- Ecobank
Thank you so much for your concerns. I have attached some of the pictures I received from the NGO (while they were taking her away from the road side and on their way to the temporary shelter as at yesterday 11-02-2021 after they've fed her and changed her clothes).

Good day everyone. I came across this young lady (pictured below) on my way to the office this morning (10/2/2021; 7:20am). She greeted me and I offered her #50 as I thought she wanted to ask for money but she declined the money.

Instead, she requested that I help as she did not know where she was. She sounded more to me like a kidnap victim who was later released but had lost her memory. She only gave her name as Doyin and mentioned places around Redemption Camp, Lagos-Ibadan Express Way, Berger, Ogba and Mowe as the only places she could remember as she could not remember much.

She also remembered that she is a member of RCCG and that was all. I contacted the nearest Police Station but I was told that they do not handle cases like that. Please contact me on 08172053543 if you know her or have any info about her or her family. Thank you.

Richestjozy, tell me where i can find you, Im coming to slap shit sense into your head.

You found a vulnerable young girl who appeared disoriented and likely victim of kidnap and you then walked her to "hell" station for rescue. Which kind person you be sef? You put too much credibility and value on police force. Do you see how they dismissed you and the girl. Well you were lucky o. You could have ended up in lock up and the girl sef in a worse outcome.
