This is an address going out to all Yorubas, male, female, young, old, wherever we reside, inside Nigeria or beyond its borders. Nigeria has imploded and is slowly being consumed by a fierce bloodshed from within. It is not going to cease, we therefore trend that as is the case with every aspect of social malady that we have experienced in our national history, where managable confrontations are left untreated as it progresses from bad to worse, this too shall escalate past disastrous dimensions. For centuries the Fulani dynasty had a state monopoly that was never in contention anywhere in Hausaland, until now. In review, Boko Haram had issued a verbal challenge implicitly warning the Sultan of Sokoto, they have so far attacked four Emirs, killing two in the process...both were fatally assaulted, one died immediately from his wounds and the other suffered an irrecoverable trauma which few weeks later claimed his life. This is a wake-up call to all Yoruba citizens. Water is the source of life but light is the giver of energy. A life without energy stagnates and dies off. Nigeria has stagnated, its death is approaching.....Yorubaland must not die with it! Sustainable electricity was already in parts of Yorubaland at the turn of twentieth century and at a time when many parts of United States of America and indeed Europe were still using oil lamp. Yorubas were the first in Black Africa to use television or build a football stadium. The list of social developments in our urban civilization are too numerous to put up here. Yet no one can find a home in Yorubaland today that enjoys consistent use of electricity for two days without interruption and cut short their tv entertainment. This problem was not caused by PDP and it was not caused by APC....we do not need partisan politics to give us electricity with which to energise our development and progress, we simply need to focus on the barrier that blocks our way forward. That barrier is Nigeria. Yorubas, we must focus on the issues and vote in the party whose platform has adopted the Yoruba regional agenda. The Yoruba Agenda calls for regionalism....self governance! Through self governance we can revive and recover from the stagnation, we can safeguard and secure our homeland and commonwealth and put programmes in place to empower our youths and proper welfare for our aged parents. We can bring back the days when every community in Yorubaland had free healthcare. In 2015, do not vote party.....vote issues! Vote for those who commit to the Yoruba Agenda. Thank you all. Oduduwa a Gbe wa o! God Bless the Commonwealth of Yorubaland for ever! |
https://www.nairaland.com/445256/ohaneze-throws-weight-behind-jonathan#6034062 1. Ohanaeze told Ibos not to field any presidential candidate because doing so will water down the expected Ibo voting bloc for Jonathan. 2. They worked behind the scene and even gave Anambra victory to PDP against their own home grown APGA. 3. Then they folded up APGA leadership and decamped to PDP. 4. APGA is incapable of winning any election against PDP in Iboland. Thanks to Ohaneaze. 5. Ohanaeze called APC the party of Awolowo, the party of amala and ewedu, the party of Hausa and Yoruba Oligarchy. 6. PDP has told Jonathan he will not get automatic ticket, he must contest the primary. 7. A Northerner will compete the ticket with him, we all know this. 8. Suddenly....., all in a new twist....., out of nowhere....., Ohanaeze realizes its error. Chineke!! 9. Now they are changing tune and calling themselves neutrals. What do they want those Ibo politicians instructed to step down for Jonathan to do now? How is the Ibo bloc going to vote if a Northerner wins the primary? Who is going to hand power over to Ibo, now or in future? What is APGA going to do now? Biafra is buried, MASSOB is terminally ill, Biafran Zionist Movement is in prison, APGA is beheaded.........Who will speak for Ibo now? I want my two hundred virgins from Iboland before that SE territory is finally overrun by the emerging Ijaw majority. |

Lt Echendu is a fvckng COWARD. Ife he truly believed in dying for his country then why did he flee to US and abandoned his colleagues to die for the cause? The Dodan Barracks stage of the coup was a failure....and if he was the one in charge of that stage as he claimed then he was incompetent and a failure. There is no saving the countey ...Orkas coup was not a messiah...they were out to feed their own interests and they failed to achieve that. Echendu need to shut up and stay in exile. Someone will come along to pardon him in future. |
They forgot to arrest people of SE Nigeria.... shyyte! ![]() |
WIZGUY69:....SW, not SS, produces the most IGR in Nigeria. SS has the biggest chunk of Federal Allocation! + SS has the highest volume, in barrel, of oil production. Also, how is your map positioned? Jigawa is East of Kano......so why is Kano in NC and Jigawa in NW? |
Seun, If you did not have the almighty power to ban Desola for what she said, in what other ways would you have dealt with what you claim was a falsehood? |
http://www.news247.com.ng/news/nigeria-armed-herdsmen-lay-siege-to-enugunsukka-road#.VDrtbKMpDFo By Austin Ogwuda and Chibundu Abugu Enugu--ARMED herdsmen have continued to launch attacks on motorists and passengers plying Enugu-Nsukka Road almost on daily basis, Vanguard's investigation has shown. The bandits, suspected to be Fulani herdsmen, have left several passengers wounded, while others have lost cash and valuables. Narrating their ordeal to Vanguard, some of the victims called on the police to beef up security on dreaded portions of the road. In the latest attack, a victim, who identified herself as Mrs. Salome Nnadi, a teacher at Queen of the Rosary Secondary School, Nsukka, recounted how they were ambushed and robbed along Ugwuogo-Nike-Opi Road, a few kilometres from Enugu. She said: "We were returning from Enugu on Thursday, around 3p.m. On reaching a sharp bend, four armed men dressed in Fulani regalia suddenly appeared from a near-by bush. "They ransacked the commuter bus, carting away mobile phones, jewelleries and cash from passengers." She added that the bandits also inflicted machete wounds on the driver before escaping into the bush. Another victim, Mr. Ogili Alphonsus, said on his way to Enugu two days ago, some Fulani herdsmen, with their faces painted black, ambushed the commuter bus in which they were travelling and robbed all the passengers of mobile phones, cash and laptops. It will be recalled that when Enugu State House of Assembly began public hearing on a bill to make provisions for the control of nomadic cattle rearing in the state, they had decried the activities of some herdsmen in the state who had become armed robbers. State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, said the command was not unaware of the menace of bandits on that road but "we are on it. |
