Markfemi2:Bobo, the political game is playing out exactly as it was hoped. The jigsaw is coming together. APC has a muslim Northerner President and christian Yoruba VP. Do you think christian North will allow both parties to field muslims from North? Hell no! ![]() PDP must field a christian Northerner and a muslim Southerner. ![]() |
This is opened for Yoruba to discuss. You yanminrins are below the political faculty to understand what has happened in PDP today. ![]() |
Did you all get the result of the convention? Yorubas are wicked! ![]() One by one all the SW aspirants withdrew at the convention but days before they had put up a false front of competition. Then even the votes for Professor Adeniran was watered down to position him out of the lead for victory. What does this mean? PDP must win, by force by fire, drawing from all resources in Rivers. Atiku's fate is now in Secondus hands. Yoruba badt gaan! ![]() |
This is nak3d truth! Yorubas are magicians in any political dealings. Just when you have them cornered and all avenues for escape are blocked, all the advantegs are in your hands, then you blink...just a blink,......Yoruba circles his intrigue around you and converts the advantage to his benefit. You sit wondering what to do next....and this demon strolls away without a word, your bag of advantages clutched in his agbada! I dab to Yoruba and their bagfull of political tricks!

The name of Egypt was written in ancient Hebrew. The closeness of ancient Yoruba and Hebrew makes it apparent that is recorded in Yoruba. It will be like writing an original script in Spanish but decoding it in Portuguese. Thats because Spanish and Portuguese have same linguistic root. |
Ola, The only thing I will take away here is your use of the word "religion". Yoruba, traditionally, did not have a religion, Yoruba had, and still have, "worship". Prayer is the act of seeking for self-redemption and salvation against afflictions in a malevolent universe. Worship is the act of venerating and praising GOD and His agents of creation in a benevolent cosmos. After consulation on an individual's roadmap in the matrix database (opon ifa), the barriers and blockages in his/her path are identified. He/she is then advised to offer sacrifice. The sacrifice is an appeasement to soften the malevolent barriers and blockages, to lower their opposition to the individual's efforts snd struggles so he/she can advance along. The sacrifice does not go to GOD. They are not meant for GOD. They are for self. On the other hand, burnt offerings, blood offerings, at the altar or inner sanctum of the shrine or temple....yes, this is for GOD, this is ritual to GOD and the ascendants and descendants of the Holy Order of the Cosmos....their place is on the sacred ladder (or chain, or steps) that extends down from heaven to earth. Therefore, while Ifa is the manuscript of life and contains code for self-redemption and philosophy of living, there is something else....a Holy book or record of the creed of worship. I dont know what it is or what we call it, perharps this second manuscript might be what Yoruba call EDI, but Im honestly lacking in this knowledge beside the point that another manuscript exist beside Ifa. Ram sacrifice, dove sacrifice, blood offerings, burnt offerings, and so on are all contained in this second Holy book and will tell how, when, where these things are to be done. There is lots to unravel about Yoruba, historically, culturally, artistically, scientifically, divinely, astronomically, linguistically, politically, militarily, economically, geographically.... Aramean were people of Canaan. Does this help? |
Ozouno1:Although Yoruba say it is Ibinu (the annoyance of Oranminyan on account of encounters in Edo). Here is my honest theory - That Bini and Omo N'Oba are connected and cojoined terms and mean "child of" or a "reproduction of". In Yoruba there are two identifiers for a child; each carries a spiritual equivalency reference. Omo is that which is seeded by the father. Ibi or Bibi is that which is birthed by the mother. The seed of the new dynasty is Omo N'Oba, but creation of the new State is Ibini (Bini). The story of Oranmiyan himself has not completely been told. Next to Oduduwa, Oranminyan is the next greatest Yoruba in antiquity. He sat on three Thrones - Oyo, Bini, Ife. In my own theory I believe Oranmiyan is same as Aramean and Orion. This is for discussion in future. |
I cant believe what im reading here, truly when it comes to fabrics, treatment, weaving, styling, design, fitting and exhibiting (swagga), i dont know any culture in West Africa that surpasses Yoruba. I saw someone talk about ehy North has solomon knot. Thats because Britain suggested that North use it for political logo. Yoruba own it. Its part of Royal insignia in Yorubaland because its connected with dynastic ancestry. |
Dangote has been inside several churches during wedding, and if he is inside a church where people take off their hat he followcthe practice and take his hat off too. No big deal! Blackman doesnt worship GOD we worship religion. |
imam07:In temple places where GOD is truly worshipped the observations and rituals are closely familiar. In some places you cant even tell who is muslim priest different from christian priest just from outward appearance.....both have full beard, cover head, wear long robe/cape, carry rosary, take off shoe to enter the temple. Palestinians are Christians and Muslims, but how do you tell a christian woman apart from a muslim woman? Na black man carry religion and place it above GOD worship and thats why where the most afflicted of all races. Religion should be below GOD, not above HIM. |

SalamRushdie:Someone did an outstanding job here not long ago....if I recollect correctly I believe it was Ishilove, she brought a reflection on coup plotters, post-civil war. For those of us concerned youths who observe very closely on the exchanges between government and society it is troubling to notice that our academic curriculum continues to be styled on the same eurocentric platform decades after we have dumped all forms of eurocentric norms and ethos in social interaction, beside use of english language. This is pivotal and can truly explain, to some extent, why we are disillusioned in government and its agencies. In school we are given a set of minimal expectations and guarantees that await our future but beyond school those expectations are never met. The dissapointment is what frustrates us. Thus, anyone in government represent the visual form of that dissapointment and we are ready to crucify them. If you put Atiku, in a few months we will be saying the same thing about him we say now of Buhari. I mentioned the coup plotters and the reflection of their times. I went to grab some archived materials from newspapers in print at those times and its amazing to see a coincidence in citizens attitude to government. In particular when Buhari took over from Shagari the country jubilated and praised him and decried the indiscipline and waste of the civilian regime he kicked out. He was welcomed as a relief! Few months later when he was kicked out, citizens did not go on the streets and opposed the sack of a government they welcomed as their relief few months prior, rather, they jubilated and welcomed Babangida as a relief! When Gideon Orkar half-kicked Babangida out, people were already jubilating before the coup was a full success...and remorsed after learning it failed. But when he finally handed over to an interim government the jubilation returned. Then Abacha took over and we had same cycle of jubilation and dissapointment. Even though we no longer have coups the cycle continues with each successive government in 1999 led by Obasanjo, then YarAdua, followed by Jonathan and now Buhari. So do you think it will stop when Atiku gets in? No! It is not a matter of competency or skills or education at the top....it is WE at the bottom. We have cycled through a leader with no more than a school certificate (Buhari) to leaders with graduate degrees (Shonekan and YarAdua) to a leader with post-graduate degree (Jonathan), has the cycle stopped? No! We are practicing a system of government for the people by the people....but the expectations of the people and the government are incompatible...hence constant dissilusionment and confrontation. The union is not a harmonious one. When a woman and man have a lot going for them individually it would be considered ideal for them to join together in union so they can expand their capabilities and growth. Sometimes we get lucky and the union couples together well; other times we are not, and these people who posessed great talents at the beginning start to antagonize and sabotage each other's efforts to the point their individual assets turns around to become liabilities and hindrance. Apparently they should be dis-united before they completely savage and ruin each other beyond recovery. Wise mediators will prescribe separation. A time of restructuring... to focus in individually and heal the damage and prepare for a new horizon as a single independent entity. I want you to apply this wisdom to the Nigerian landscape. ![]() |
