If a christian makes this kind of statement against an emir or sultan, I bet everywhere would been up in flames by now.
Christian pass Christian now! grin

You are correct if Ibo Christian make that kind comment against an Emir North would be boiling now.

Yoruba Christians dont care whose ox is gored, they have always spoken up and condemn even Sheiks sef, wey pass Emir, and no ground shakes.

So abeg draw the line which Christians your statement dey speak for.

If IPOB is truly serious about forming a republic of Biafra they should start showing capability by saving Ekwueme house.

Nnamdi Kanu having shaken the very foundation of your lives to your utter confusion that you have become too confused and restless to even sleep peacefully on your bed these days. So, even without a gun shot thousands of loud-mouthed, hypocritical bigots are going down already.

And Igbos are more than ever ready to defend their lives and properties once again...
There's nothing you can do about it now. It's too late to make any appeal...

However, you can continue your whining, weeping and wailing on every media space, with thick mucous dripping down your smelly noses as if your life sustenance is being taken away from you just at the mere mention of Biafra...
By the time Operation Python Dance wrap up, if you see Kanu sef you go deny knowing him.

Your oppressors dispatched Sultan other day to come and instruct on why they massacre you. Thats not an accidental slip of the tongue, that message was rehearsed for delivery in Enugu.

You want Biafra? Dont worry, its approaching. You will see it with your korokoro eyes...but dont blame Yoruba for betraying you when this Biafra finally arrives at your doorstep.

You loudmouthed Afonjas are too lily-livered and no match to the Great Igbo Nation. Igbos and Easterners fought for a cause, for about 3 years Nigeria, backed by world-powers, was on standstill.

Take a look at your bloody Army General, Oladipo Diya - the greatest general in the history of Yoruba people, knelt, wept and begged Abacha for his miserable life:
If fighting Nigeria, with its coalition, for about 3yrs deserve a medal, then how should we reward bokoharam who have fought Nigeria, and its coalition, for about 6yrs...and still ongoing? Ehhn? cheesy

our oppressors, your conquerors. grin
Im glad you admit that they oppress you.
They did not conquer Yoruba.

Yorubas conquered Yorubas in a rivalry over domination of Ilorin. The Fulani, in a house coup toppled the Yoruba leader. Yoruba's Crown has never been conquered and it shall ever remain Oduduwa's, wherever displacement may put it. We have never lost a stool.

It's a well known fact that Yorubas are well known for being loose cannons, uncouth, uncivilised and disrespectful set of people who made careers out of lies, falsehood, noise-making, propaganda, abuse and slurs.

Remember, from 1967 to 1970, Igbos defended themselves against world powers-backed Nigeria with Egyptian bombers, and the war lasted about three years but when the big mouthed Yoruba tribe tried their gra-gra in 1993, it did not even last two days.
And it took just one Abacha to silence the most successful man from the suffersticated and diabolic Yoruba tribe, MKO Abiola - the Field Marshall of Odua Kingdom and nothing happened. Fact#

After 45 years of the Biafran war, the entire Yoruba tribe that is filled with loudmouthed, suffersticated and diabolic cowards dare not challenge the Emir lording over Ilorin.

The Yoruba tribe is filled with legends cowards. A notable one is the Army General, Oladipo Diya, who wept like a kid before a junior officer because he was afraid of his life...after wilfully and knowingly plotting a coup.
I said you have been flogged. All you are doing now is reaching out to your oppressor for supporting lines. Unfortunately its not working. Im the wrong person to try that boring and weak tactic on. Come with something else. grin

Indeed, Yorubas were never united..

"By the time the Europeans came, even the Yoruba people, did not even learn how to live with each other, they were fighting and all over the north, they were fighting everywhere, there were tribal wars."
I just remember only recently the Yoruba leaders said they want to break, break from where. The Yoruba are probably the people who economically enjoy Nigeria more than anybody, economically. So why are they going?"
- Mallam Adamu Ciroma
I know when to tell Ibos have been flogged. You start to pull stories from your oppressors in North for support. Your oppressors in turn are afraid of Yoruba. But instead of you to pull stories that show ttheir strength, since thats what you are attempting to portray, you end up doing damage by pulling stories that reveal their fears and anxiety about Yoruba. grin grin

b]A DISASTER WAITING TO HAPPEN
Am not a tribal bigot neither am a very religious person, but patriotic Nigerian with a conscience. Back to the crust of my concern.

On my way to my aunt house today, just having sometime alone with my own thoughts, something caught my attention. For those people familiar with Kaduna, at kano road bus stop, precisely at that jummat mosque, one familiar thing that will always get your attention is the large concentration of beggars. As I pass bye I saw so many people just minding their business perhaps used to the scene. But as I pass bye tears gathered in my eyes threatening to pour, as I watch poor helpless multitudes of fathers and mothers with their children looking up to passer bye expecting alms. Note am not a stranger to beggers (I was born and brought up in Kaduna Tudun nupawa to be precise) but today I got scared for the children of these beggars.

I watch them as they run away with their kind(children of fellow beggars) not realising they have been disadvantaged from their birth, if me as a young graduate is unemployed and struggling to survive the present day Nigeria how will these ones survive the ugly tomorrow?

This children have no idea of what is called education, they have no idea that their tomorrow is dependent on today. In 10-15 years time, what will be the condition of these children?

If nothing is done fast today they will be ready tools and soldiers for terrorist tomorrow. If the government and citizens are wondering how people are easily brain washed to join boko haram, this is the answer.

I hereby call the attention of Kaduna state governor and the president to do something fast. I will strongly suggest for a drastic action to be taken fast, if not for the beggars themselves then for their children. For example, the government can create a school or a vocational center in the area for these kids, or even use the large space inside the mosque to teach these children both western and Islamic education to better their tomorrow or we face the possibility of wasting huge resources and many lives to fight another insurgents........ by Alexander Emmanuel.
Alexander,
you say you are a graduate and with no job. Guess what? You just found a job!

In today's society there are many problems and those with solutions will always have work.

You correctly identified a problem. That is a task. You also identify the resource you need to address the task and solve the problem. What you now need is a bridge between the problem, the task, the resource and the solution.

You will be that bridge. Alexander is not a nane they will respect or even respond to but nonetheless you understand the language and culture. Find some muslim Hausas to partner with. Here are some hints for you....

1 - create a non-profitable agenda
2- document it as a proposal and date and sign it.
3 - find trusted friends who are muslims and hausa, of both genders.
4 - if you have money, register the charity with CAC, if not approach a small business financial inveator and share proposal for startup capital.
5- after business registration find funds to do weekly feeding on the street.
6 - you cook food and take to them on Fridays and Sundays at their own gathering spot on the street.
6 - take pictures with them, invite radio or tv to give you coverage.
7 - solicit churches and mosques to donate to your fund.
8 - go back to radio and tv and give appreciation and progress report.
9 - extend your needs to HOS members and tell them you cannot do it alone, ask for their support. Remain neutral and appeal to both parties.
10 - bring radio and tv back out there to give coverage

Keep the media covering your events. Arrange a street soccer game for the boys. Arrange a ddouble dutch for the girls. Table tennis competition.

Use the almajiris as the problem, ally with the media as their voice. You are just a facilitator. The solution rests with society and government.

This is big job, and reward. Good luck!

It is very natural to be self conservative and it's not natural for one to self criticise but its good to always self criticise because in criticising ourselves we checkmate our success and also know if we are really making progress. So it's good to Criticise a government but if one must criticise a Government it should be Constructive Criticism. I must say that am not writing this post for speculation but because there is an urgent issue that needs attention.
Awka is located in Anambra state(the light of the Nation) and its the Capital of the state. To a great extent its a good Metropolis of Igbo people and there's a Federal Government University located in Awka. I wouldn't say that it's a very beautiful City, its a developing Town. The pictures shown below were take from Ifite road ( one of the minor Roads that lead to the Nnamdi Azikiwe University ) and as you can see the road has deteriorated for years now and Contracts have been Awarded to so many Contractors but still yet the Road is still in bad shape for years and the Local Government is doing barely nothing to Fix the Road. About two weeks ago when I saw a tractor working on the road I felt happy but on a second glance at the Road its easy for one to tell that there's no positive work on going(the tractor was sand filling the Drainages). In a bid of Operation ' light up the state ' all the Drainages on the Road are being sandfilled so that they can easily install the Street lights ( or I don't know the reason for the sandfill ).Now because of the Blocked Drainages ' used water ' which are meant for the Drainages now floods the Road that's why even in this dry season the Road is still flooded . This really pose a great threat to Motorists and Students as it has lead to Minor Accidents.
It's a good thing for a Government to provide Street Lights for its citizens but in doing so people's life should not be endangered. The Ifite Road is too small to be called a Standard ' one lane ' and inasmuch as motorists are struggling to keep in the lane I think there shouldn't be any Obstructions like Refuse Bins and bad pot holes on the Road. Am not writing to Condemn the present Government but to point to them a problem in the State.
Read more http://afrikanist..com.ng/2016/12/never-settle-for-less.html?m=1
Good job OP.
They sandfill the drainages to create more destruction to an already damaged infrastructure and thereby have the legitimacy to budget more money for another contract work that will end in the ways of those before it.

These are some of the building blocks that when put in place will encourage return home. These are topics yanmiris should spend energy on and highlight to showcase to their Elders for intervention, instead of loosing sleep over what Ambode is not doing for Lagos.
