Sometimes these guys disguise and intentionally open a controversial point of history so they can hear us talk and as we do they are taking notes.

They get enough knowledge that they create a Yoruba name and start using what we taught them as accounts of legitimacy and belonging.

He was detected simply because as impressive as his knowledge when asked to name the orisha of Iga Oshodi he got it correctly and when asked to name that of Iga Jakande he blundered. To clarify, he was asked to give history of Epetedo. He failed that too. His family had lived in five wards on Island.

So we need to be reflective when setting people like this OP straight. We should turn the table upon them and challenge them on their own history, than entertain their enquiry into our history.

I wonder if you bothered to actually put your pride and emotions aside and research what Mayoroflagos is saying. Just a quick look on Wikipedia says Onitsha itself was founded by a Benin prince in the 1500s so there might be some truth to what he's saying. Granted it doesn't mean that the link between the two kingdoms still exist but there may have been one back then.

No where else, North, South, East, we find articles of coronation in Onitsha to match with that of a neighbouring monarch.

Agbon is wasp and the totem of warrior chiefs. If they are cavalry their totem is Agbo, the ram!
