Investment / Re: How To Get A Bitcoin Wallet In Nigeria by mayorwesley: 11:41pm On Oct 25, 2017
Rating:
Now, a lot of people have heard of Bitcoin but most do not know how to start using it. This post is specifically targeted to people in Nigeria (and by extension, most of Africa) on how to personally get a Bitcoin wallet in Nigeria.

Information is power and by information, you position yourself for possible success.

Some people have been scammed by THINKING they are buying Bitcoin and only being scammed by others, making more and more people very careful of using the digital currency. By not using it, they are missing out on a lot of opportunities.

How do you own a Bitcoin wallet in Nigeria? Very easy steps.

There are 2 recommended options for anyone hoping to own a Bitcoin wallet in Nigeria:

1. BLOCKCHAIN Wallet

The Blockchain wallet is one of the most secure Bitcoin wallets in the world. Founded in August 2011, the wallet is one of the oldest and most reliable in the cryptocurrency space. The company is headquartered in Luxembourg and also very well funded. It now also supports the Ethereum cryptocurrency.

The Blockchain has mobile apps on both Android and iOS devices.

How to get started with the Blockchain Wallet:

- Download the blockchain app from the Android or iOS play store.
- Register with your email and you’re good to go!
- Set your Password AFTER you get the confirmation email.

2. LUNO Wallet

Luno Bitcoin Wallet, formerly known as BitX works as a wallet and also helps users transacts in their home countries. Luno is in more than 40 countries across Europe, Southeast Asia and Africa. The major advantage of Luno is the ability to allow direct fiat currency transactions to Bitcoin.

It’s headquartered in London and also very well-funded.

How to get started with the Luno Wallet:

- Download the app from Android or iOS play store.
- Register with your email and use a very strong password (alphanumeric and with special characters). This is like your crypto bank account.
- Confirm your email. Once you do this, you’re all good to go.
- You can have upgrade your account with Luno when you complete your KYC

If you don’t have a bank account (in the supported countries) or you just want to use Luno to send, receive and store Bitcoin, you don’t need to upgrade your account.
Bro i expect u to be talkin about more secured hardware wallet or cold shortage where u hold ur private keys e.g ledger nano s, keep key hardware wallet. With blockchain or luno u dont hold ur private keys and can easily be hacked or d company /platform can close and run away wit ur hard earned bitcoin

I'm ashamed Dino Melaye is a senator of the Federal Republic. Legislation is a serious business and it is expected that a senator should show some decorum at least in public when it's concerns matters of national importance. It's also pathetic knowing that Dino Melaye has his local language but would rather promote the Yoruba language rather than his own.

STOP fooling ursef, dino is a full fledged yoruba man from kogi. Thats his mother tongue

This was revealed in a statement by his special adviser, Femi Adesina.

The President left the country on January 19, 2017 for a vacation, during which he had routine medical check-ups.

In simple layman word, the transaction has been reversed and the Bitcoin is with whoever sold it to you. Certain transaction requires 1-2 confirmation and if any of the confirmations is not confirmed then the Bitcoin goes back to the seller. Sometimes it can take days for the confirmation to take effect say like 2-5days. Contact whoever sold it to you but if you don't believe me then message blockchain support and lodge a formal complain at https://support.blockchain.com/hc/en-us/requests/new.
Try to buy from trusted people and avoid super cheap things.
Thanks for your advise, but have you ever experienced this kind of situation before, The support center for blockchain don't have chat or call and the FAQs don't have questions related to this particular situation. I also went to the company that sold the bitcoin to me and they said it had not reversed into there system, don't know what to do now.

There are many phishing sites .. Like Blockchein.info
Blockkchaiin.info etc

You may have logged in via the wrong site.

And they've transferred every single cash you have.

Always type this directly from your Address next time > blockchain.info

Block and Chain , then , info ..
The site i am using which i just confirmed again is blockchain.info/wallet.
