karmaolu1: Ikam now call Takum in Taraba State is facing the same issue been backup by some people 😭😭😭😭😭. Injustice. Government/ Ploticcs jas no power on traditional aspect/area.
The difference is that, in Ikam the government, power and influence are all with the newly appointed chief of Takum while the people are solidly behind HRH Rimamyang the UKWE TAKUM
Hadone: Atleast he cared for this girls more than the dubious minister. Many innocent young girls are into prostitution, did the minister wrote IGP about it? Had it been this girls are also into prostitution, the dubious minister will not raise alarm. We're now in a society and situation where some people value prostitution beyond marriage. Nobody will marry them off due to orphanage situation they found themselves. The Speaker now took a bold step to shoulder the responsibility of their deceased parents, but some one who don't even care for them is now trying to frustrate his efforts
The minister is not stopping him but after investigating to know if it is the will of the girls. The girls have the right to decide who and when to marry.
LadyExcellency: A Southerner should not poke their nose in Northern Affairs. Same country, with different laws and different ways of life.
She is a minister in the federal republic of Nigeria and not for the southern part alone, she is doing her homework perfectly well. Kudos to her, those children have a right to decide who and when to marry.
God! Why was I born into this country called Nigeria?
A country whose claimed to be a circular nation involved in sponsoring/subsidizing some selected religious activities. Subsidizing some of the Christians and Muslims activities is direct injustice to those citizens who are neither Christian nor Muslim and the poor Christians and Muslims can not even afford the initial payment, making it injustice to them too.
There are other sectors that can be subsidised to benefits all citizens irrespective of religion affiliation and class or status in the society such as, education, health and many more.
Presently, if you are going to Abuja from Enugu you don't even need to follow Makurdi, from Oturkpo there's a route through to keffi in Nasarawa state then Abuja
ovie8200: Oga, it means it will start from Calabar to PH. From PH to Enugu and Straight to Abuja. It can go straight to Abuja from Enugu unless they want to bend it to Makurdi or Lokoja. But Enugu straight to Abuja makes more sense. Look at the map well and also along the line, they may connect other cities but the main focus city point is Calabar-PH-Enegu-Abuja.
The reason people go through Makurdi before going to Abuja when coming from the east is that Nigeria does not have roads and highways. Ideally, a good country will have different extensive roads linking different cities but Nigeria doesn't have such. A country like Nigeria is supposed to have another highway from connection PH through to Enegu to Nsukka and straight to Abuja without going a distance way to Makurdi to Lafia before going to Abuja. So for the railroad, it doesn't have to go that direction like driving. I hope I am making sense.

https://twitter.com/ruffydfire/status/1648234711712514048?s=46&t=dR32GmclMO3sOOFX1ADAtw[/quote]With all due respect to you and your profession, NTA did no wrong sir. NTA are actually not bestowed with the authority to decide the outcome of any election in Nigeria, INEC was constitutionally. NTA just air the decision of the electoral body, or was the REC that declared her winner not with the electoral body? Mind you the air acceptance speech was before INEC headquarters announced the declared winner null and void. You would have been right if NTA keep airing or air the acceptance speech after INEC headquarters declared it null and void.
SkrewYou: What have we don differently? 1. We stopped underperforming governors like Ikpeazu & Ugwuanyi from making the Senate their retirement home. 2. We elected new crop of lawmakers by rejecting & refusing to reinforce failures like Nnamani, Ekwunife, Stella, Chuchu etc. 3. We're currently guiding, guarding & protecting our votes in Obingwa & refuse to allow imposition of a governor against the wish of the masses. 4. After 24years, PDP will die a natural death in Abia & Abians will breathe fresh air. 5. If after 3¹/² years, the newly elected people from my region fails to deliver good governance/representation, they'll be voted out.
You want more ?
Don't conclude about region/state that are still voting in PDP and APC. It's not about party but candidate, if PDP or APC did not performed in your region/state doesn't mean it did not in other region/state. For example in my state of Taraba, the present governor is of PDP and performs badly. We still voted for PDP massively because of the believe and trust we have in the candidate it present irrespective of the party previous performance. But mind you, the same PDP with the sitting governor as the senatorial candidate of Taraba south senatorial District lost to APC.
LP got a good number of votes in the presidential election in Taraba state but did poorly in the state governorship, senatorial, house of representatives and house of assembly election. We believe in Obi candidacy but not in others.
BeanX: I'm telling you, LP has more structure than PDP now. 😄
The LP rode on Christian as it structure. Check and see, they only won in Christian dominate states/areas in the north. Am also a Christian from the north and love the outcome especially in my state of Taraba.
Hendrixky: After this election we are going to be aware of certain things 1)the problem of Nigeria is tribalism and not all about religion but mostly tribalism And hausas are not really tribalistic the way we thought But the yorubas are more tribalistic..the problem with hausas is that little religious line..apart from that hausas are fantastic people
Because as at the time Buhari was sick and travelling for medical attention we all was clamouring for him to hand over to a healthy and vibrant Osinbajo. We regretted our action of being stupid to elect a sick old man
But now we have a vibrant and healthy Peter obi contesting but the yorubas because of tribalism wants us to install tinubu again knowing fully well that the world will mock us
The worse part of it is that the pain and memory of the incessant travel for medical check up by Buhari is still very fresh in our mind.not like it happened 20 years ago. It just happened yesterday..
And for all those quoting me. Please am not any of this tribe not igbo, yoruba or hausa. I'm from the South South
The three major tribes in Nigeria are actually the problem of Nigeria.
How I wished the ammended electoral act will include contesting for just a political office at a time. I really don't understand Lawal Ahmed, the present senate president been declared the standard APC candidate for Yobe north senatorial District by the supreme court after loosing out in the APC Presidential primary election.
TruthinAction: You don't understand the politics of the North. Atiku is not a Fulani man. The Fulani are the ones who conquered the Hausas and established emirates. So, how will they allow a conquered person to rule over them? The problem with us in the south is that we see the Hausas and the Fulanis as one. The common denominator is that most of them are all Muslims. But when it comes to leadership, the Fulanis are in control. Virtually every northerner that has ever ruled Nigeria are all Fulani except Gowon who is from the middle belt.
pls educate the Southerners on these, they think and believe north is one and united. They keep on generalising everything up north not knowing the reality on ground.
Puffy007: Let us be sincere please and stop with all this Buhari's honesty and integrity bullshit.
You will find it hard to convince anyone on this base on the evidence of this past 4years. Buhari is as corrupt as they come.
Same goes for the North generally, they are as corrupt as any other tribe in the country, if not more, very hypocritical set of people.
Buhari is adored in the North because of his strong Islamic ideas. Atiku was rejected because he his liberal The North don't like liberal Muslims, they want people that can openly support and defend Islamic agenda like sharia law and Jihad. Buhari has over the years endeared himself to the Northerns through religion. Religion is the first language of the North, not integrity or corruption like you are suggesting.
I agree with u base on the religion aspect, but why generalising the whole north as if there are no christains up north
