Leave religion aside.
Can u authorize a request asking the life of ur dearest person be taken, because he/she is suffering severely in the hospital?

It's nothing to do with religion.
Like I said before, if you can't give life, you have no right to take it. No matter the situation.

My first and second sisters are Doctors, I know their stance on this issue.
HurricaneChris, if I understand what you meant, u are of the view dat it is morally wrong to engage in Euthanasia? What if when all the options have been exausted on the sick and he request 4 Euthanasia? Assume also him and d doctor have no business with any religion.

Morality in this context has everything to do with religion and personal beliefs..
are u of d opinion that 'Morality' is relative?

Morals is about principles of right and wrong.
The world is made up of too many people from different religions and beliefs
A Christian can tell you that its morally wrong.
But what do you think an atheist would say?
What do you expect someone that don't believe in life after death to say...

Euthanasia is just too big a debate and cannot be clearly called moral or immoral..
I get ur point, but Morality has nothing to do with religion. Let us keep religion away from dis and look at it from d literal meaning of morals which is- principles of right and wrong behaviour.
How were our forefathers able to give right judgements even when religion has not come in? I think it was based on MORAL.

He is in his early 30's and his girl friend is 27. She kept complaining about the facial look of the guy as being too young. People are already saying she appears much older than the guy and it is giving him serious concern. This is really weighing the guy down.
The issue is that the guy looks so young facially that he can mostly measure up with a girl below 22. He is not really OK with such age bracket being that he wants to get married early next year. What's your advice?

It's never acceptable. Even before God, it's a sin!

If u can't give life, you have no moral justification to take it.
God himself gives life, he alone reserves the supreme right to take it.

The Catholic church campaigns so much against "mercy killing"

FamilyIs Euthanasia (mercy Killing) a sin? by Mbkite(op):
EUTHANASIA has always been secretly carried out and some pretend as though it doesn't happen.
WHAT'S EUTHANASIA?
Euthanasia, also known as assisted suicide ,
physician-assisted , basically means to take a deliberate action with the express intention of ending a life to relieve intractable (persistent, unstoppable)
suffering. Some interpret euthanasia as the
practice of ending a life in a painless manner.
Many disagree with this interpretation, because it
needs to include a reference to intractable
suffering.
In the majority of countries euthanasia or assisted
suicide is against the law. According to the
National Health Service (NHS), UK, it is illegal to
help somebody kill themselves, regardless of
circumstances. Assisted suicide, or voluntary
euthanasia carries a maximum sentence of 14
years in prison in the UK. In the USA the law
varies in some states (see further down).
There are two main classifications of euthanasia:
Voluntary euthanasia - this is euthanasia
conducted with consent. Since 2009 voluntary
euthanasia has been legal in Belgium,
Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Switzerland, and
the states of Oregon (USA) and Washington
(USA).
Involuntary euthanasia - euthanasia is
conducted without consent. The decision is
made by another person because the patient is
incapable to doing so himself/herself.
There are two procedural classifications of
euthanasia:
Passive euthanasia - this is when life-sustaining
treatments are withheld. The definition of passive
euthanasia is often not clear cut. For example, if
a doctor prescribes increasing doses of opioid
analgesia (strong painkilling medications) which
may eventually be toxic for the patient, some
may argue whether passive euthanasia is taking
place - in most cases, the doctor's measure is
seen as a passive one. Many claim that the term
is wrong, because euthanasia has not taken
place, because there is no intention to take life.
Active euthanasia - lethal substances or forces
are used to end the patient's life. Active
euthanasia includes life-ending actions
conducted by the patient or somebody else.
Active euthanasia is a much more controversial
subject than passive euthanasia. Individuals are
torn by religious, moral, ethical and compassionate
arguments surrounding the issue. Euthanasia has
been a very controversial and emotive topic for a
long time.

You didn't do it right? Then relax. Don't be tensed up, take out quality time to sing praises to God, bearing the situation in mind. You may nt even bother praying. God shall rise from His throne n fight your battles. I hope u hv told d guy u aint responsible 4 dat? If u hv no need stressing it. Just try heavy weight praises, it works. My advice may look awkward, but it works.

CrimeBoko Haram: “we Must Go After Insurgents, Not Wait For Them To Come” – Borno DG by Mbkite(op): 3:48pm On Jul 20, 2015
Borno state Deputy Governor, Alhaji Zannah Umar Mustapha has described the appointment of the new Chief of Army Staff as the best thing that has ever happened to Borno state, adding that there is hope that the fight against Boko Haram will soon come to an end.

Zannah stated this during his visit with the new Chief of Army Staff to military formations in Konduga local government, a local government known to be hot spot of confrontation between the Nigerian Forces and the Islamic Boko Haram sect.

According to the deputy governor, “Perhaps this is the first time we are having a Service Chief from Borno and I believe it is deliberately done by Mr. President who wants you to come and rescue your own people. It is now in our own court to rescue the people of Borno, the northeast and Nigeria in general and to restore the desired and needed peace in this country.”
The Deputy Governor also commended the General Officer Commanding 7 Division, Nigerian Army, stating that, “It is also the first time that we are having a very good and commendable GOC out of all the GOC’s that served in Borno. Without mincing words, I can say that this GOC has collaborated with us as a government and under his command, the military are working together with the civil populace.”

Zannah Mustapha said, civil/military relationship is an important thing Borno needs in this operation. Adding that, the civil/military relationship is key in any operation like the Boko Haram insurgency because in terms of information dissemination, the military needs the civilian population to help them achieve creditably in their strategies.

“Most of the information we have received from the civil populace are mostly 80 percent correct and they have helped the military to achieve results in the operation. Your presence in Yobe state and in Borno today has given us a new hope that very soon this insurgency will be a thing of the past. I believe the people of Borno are praying for all of you and will continue to support and provide all that is needed in our capacity as a people and government to ensure your success in this operation.”

While expressing happiness for the time the Army Chief took to spend the Sallah holiday with his troops, he said the coming of the Army Chief has boosted the morale of the troops in Borno.

CrimeIt’s Wrong To Humiliate Dasuki, Jonathan’s CSO – Alhaji Balarabe Musa by Mbkite(op): 3:23pm On Jul 20, 2015
A former Governor of old Kaduna State, Alhaji Balarabe Musa, has expressed concern over the seeming clampdown on former National Security Adviser (NSA), Col. Sambo Dasuki and a former Chief Security Officer (CSO) to Goodluck Jonathan, Gordon Obua, by the nation’s Directorate of State Security Services (DSS).

The DSS on Saturday said that its raid on the Abuja and Sokoto homes of Dasuki last Wednesday was to prevent treasonable felony, adding that the action yielded seven high caliber weapons and 12 exotic cars, five of which were bullet-proof.

In a similar development, ex-CSO Obua, who like Dasuki, served the former administration of Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, has since Thursday last week been detained by the DSS, His lawyer, in a statement on Sunday, claimed that Obua is diabetic and hypertensive. He also alleged that the former CSO was being held in a solitary detention and was being denied meals. However, other sources claimed that food was made available to him but that he opted for hunger strike.

Consequently, The Elder statesman, warned that these development may hurt the new government than currently imagined. He recalled that a similar action by the new government of the then President Olusegun Obasanjo, against the former CSO to the late General Sani Abacha, Major Hamza Al-Mustapha ended badly for the government and the nation.

Alhaji Musa said: “I think the recent clampdown on the National Security Adviser and the Chief Security Officer of the former president is unfortunate. It is also risky for any head of State to deal with an NSA or CSO casually like this.”

“You have to be very careful. Such action must be with the approval of the President. In this case, we talk of security adviser. A President may have authorized a National Security Adviser to do certain things. The President must be sure that the information he gets is based on proper knowledge.”
