Odunnu: University of Nigeria is 'naturally ahead' of every other. Making it a 2nd choice is limiting your chances. They wont give it to you. The most they can do and that is if you are related to Goodluck J. is give you a course like Music or religious studies or culture or gardening, lol. and the very next opportunity they have at screening, screen you out for one useless reason

thats not very true. though UNN gives preferential treatments to first choice candidates, they nonetheless offer admission to second choice candidates.
do not lose hope if u made UNN your second choice institution, just work hard to prove u merit admission, God on your side you will be admitted

studyabfree: I was once an aspirant of admission in UNN. That was 2006, scored 250 and going for Law. Thinking to myself that the post Ume would be a workover for me, since I could score that high in jamb what is UNN post ume that would make me not to be admitted that year, with the normal preparation I went into the post Ume hall with full comfidence, answered all the questions that was given to me and was filled with high hopes.

But to my surprise when the result came out, I was scoring 140. I was so downcasted, I knew definitly that I dont stand a chance, that year pass without me getting admitted.

Nevertheless, The same happened the next year, scoring high in jamb and very low score in UNN screening. Until I discovered the secret of passing the UNN post UMe exam I was clueless while my mate get admitted I was at home whiling away precious time, and I'm not happy.

Notwithstanding, The next year I was determined to pass UNN exam comes what may, I went searching till I found this secret that finally made me smiling to UNN with a score of 298 in post Ume and my name second in the primary list. I'm going to reveal the secret here with you.

finally, the secret lies in UNN past question paper. sincerely speaking, UNN repeat most of their questions year in year out, and the only way for you to pass very well and get admitted is by followiny the questions and answers.

from the litle I know, There isn't much difference beside the fact that they belong to different fields of study and are the qualifications you get as a result of your area of study in the university. For instance, whereas the B.ed is exclusive for graduates of faculty of education, B.Sc goes for the sciences *social sc. inclusive* so is B.pharm for graduates of the pharmaceutical sciences. This post is motivated by my realization that some intending students give up hope of gaining admission into their choice institutions after the first list is released only for them to be admitted without knowing it.(I know of people who'd never have known had others not stumbled on their names)
so to avoid losing out in this manner after all your effort, maintain close contacts with old and new students of your choice institution, forums relating to the institution and the institutions website.

possibly, but how can I?

I used to be a friend to a girl whom I came to love passionately. after sometime, she decided that we should no longer see each other. honestly i did brood and told myself that i had come over her. days ran into weeks and then months and I said to myself "that's it". i have however come to discover and embarrassingly too that whenever I bump into her, i start having this funny feelings such that i dont understand my behaviour.

Whereas UNN invited u that scored 160 2 come, odas who score 200 and above are stil battling 4 admission, and you think they love you? NO! They are only interested in ya mani. Wisen up! But if you can gamble, let them have it. I am not trying to discourage anyone here bt laying bare their moneytrap

Core subjects like Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Further Mathematics also recorded mass failure with high degrees of malpractices also recorded.

Are the governments doing anything at all to hype the students thirst for knowlegde or just making face saving pronouncements?
Do exam bodies monitor the levels as to which school curriculars are being implemented or just wait to fail and blame students?
Do we go to school because we can learn or have passion for learning or simply because tis the in-thing?

I am not saying that people wont be admitted through the shortfall, but have it in mind that the people who are more likely to be admitted are those who scored close to the initial cut-off mark,

The university of Nigeria, Nsukka after recently releasing the primary list of those offered provisional admission, invited those who had yet to be offered admission into the school to pay for what is also known as supplementary admission.
A lot of people will now be blindfolded into paying for it, probably thinking that it is all that is required to gain admission this time around.
I have always tried to be plain and insured that people make informed choices concerning what i feel I know, towing this line therefore, I make good to say that UNN is out to exploit people, especially with the invitation of people who scored as low as 160. What they are more interested in is the money considering the slots/shortfall available
