i weep 4 moda Afrika, the rebel leader were notin short of acting out a well planned script to increase western influence in God blessed Ghaddafi's lybia, hope they dont get to have regrets. Who will save the world from america? |
Hello dear mr politician, sorry that it has taken me this long to write to you after your victory(?) at the (s)elections, it is just that I dont want to be one of those who reap where they did not sow. I did not vote for you during the elections and am not about to make any pretense about that, I never believed in you, when you made your promises, I took them with a pinch of salt and secretly wished you would prove me wrong, but now i grieve that my fears were not unfounded. When I tried pointing out your many ills, people called for my head. Some now realise that i have been right. Some sychopants still sing your praises while you blindly but yet proudly head to a ditch of destruction. Do I blame them? Of course they must do something to earn bread even at your own peril and sadly theirs too. Did you not promise them better welfare packages? But to day you ask them to bid farewel instead to the little they had. While you continually loot the treasury. The temptation to join them is much, here I am starving and wishing that you will for goodness sake change, if not for me, for those who religiously stood by you. I'll never have to beg you to allow me take from what rightly belong to me, I'll hold on with the consolation that no matter how consistently the thief steals, he will neither take nor enjoy it more than the owner. One day I will take back what rightly belongs to me and there's no need telling where you would be then. I know that what concerns you most is the next elections and how to retain your theiving position at all cost, but be sure that we (my friends and I) are ready for you. My greatest pain however is that some of them can easily be bought over, from the money you've been stealing and then some tactical appointments, some would then be singing different and discordant tunes, but we shall hold on still, we shall fight on within the embrace of civillity but I cannot say for how long before we decide to throw that away and fight crudely, It is good you take note lest you claim you are taken unawares. Signed, someone who could have been a friend, Diebere |
initially, a seperate card was printed, but later as it still is, they resorted to using the old cards. Bought some cards for DE registration yesterday and noticed it is still the same |
those who did not make it and have no chance of making it this year, you must probably think that you are of no use, maybe due to what people have said or made you feel. Listen, the problem is not you! We live in a society which place much premium on paper qualification, a society where needs are grand but means little, if vacancies were broad enough(as should be)you wouldn't be there crying now. Believe me, you are better than most people who have made it through, and you can still make it. "Dont let college stop you," the are still a lot you can do to better your life, so dont just sit there brooding. Get up and get ready, I have seen your likes and know you are made of quality stuffs. |
those struggling with the hope of making it still, keep on the struggle for that is what it is, Aluta continua, |
i know there are dreams you are bringing along, some i encourage you to keep alive for even if some are elusive, they will sure keep you close to the top. But some illusions you must do away with, that of becoming popular and feared through cultism, that of using your body to get what you want, the dream of having as much girlfriends and boyfriends as you want, they will not help you |
The Jamb and post ume hustle has finally come and gone, reality has indeed set in to some-the fact that it is not easy. Some have made their dreams, others are still hopeful while are others are on the verge of giving up completely. Amidst all this I dare to say, Stop and listen! For those who have been able to pull through, I know you must be beating your chest right now and saying 'yeah, I am the best!' No doubt you are, but you are not about being the very first, you are just about threading the path which many across ages have long throdden. You well deserve all the celebrations and merriments on your behalf, because for sure it wasn't easy, were many not called and you happen to be the chosen few? But I must tell you, your days of fantasy are over! Maybe you have not known, maybe your perception of university life is what you see on TV, Boyfriends, girlfriends, classy dressings, free lifestyles etc. Far from it! It is a life (as you will get to see) very different from that, one of struggles, disappointments from unexpected quarters, betrayals, a life very stressful. It is a place where the more you look the less you see, you think you have arrived? No, you are just about to embark on a journey |

fellow Nlanders, I please need your assistance in drafting a yearbook for my class, giving them the possible best is my aim and I need the collation of your ideas to make that possible. Please keep them coming |
I've heard speculations purporting that the primary list of admitted candidates is out, but as it is am in school right now and there is nothing official yet to suggest same. Note that UNN is a public institution and for anything of this nature to be real and effective, it must be published in atleast a national daily and announced over the radio *network* for all to duly informed. Do not be misguided |

I have noticed overtime, the level of discrimination against second choice candidates seeking admission into Nigerian universities, and it leaves me wondering if or not it should be scrapped. Provisions are made for most prefferred institution and there is no way one can fill in more than one. Could the authorities do anything to stop this discrimination or should the institutions responsible come out clear that they are not interested in second choice candidates instead of subjecting them to all these even after spending hard earned money and risky journies? What are your experiences as second choice candidates? |
