But I saw Tunde Kelani and Hafiz Oyetoro winning awards at the AMVCA. Their movies were nominated alongside other African Movies and they won. I remember Hafiz Oyetoro won the comedy part or something....can't remember what Tunde Kelani won.
Yoruba movies (Sure of Funke Akindele's Jenifa and Gbajumo Osere) were nominated though not sure of how many won apart from those mentioned above as I didn't get enough time to watch the show.

I also saw Antar Laniyan, Baba Wande and a few notable Yoruba actors (can't remember their names now) at the AMVCA

Macfemad, worry not. As vikin said, Its the weight the fetus is supposed to be at that stage. Me sef was worried when my Etimated Fetal Weight was 0.67 kg at 28 weeks but the doctor told me not to worry. My baby girl ended up being 2.8kg at birth. Wishing wifey a stressfree pregnancy and safe delivery .

Dear all, thanks for the good job on this thread. I read from pages 1 to this current page and I must say wife and I have learnt a lot and we are still learning.

Please help out , we went for scan yesterday and the results indicated everything to be fine and normal. The baby is 16weeks 4 days old and doing well but I am worried as particular section of the scan results indicated the Expected Fetal Weight to be 0.2kg. I wonder how the weight of my baby at birth would be 200g(or isn't that what Expected Fetal Weight means) Though we planned to see our doctor tomorrow but just can't wait till 2moro to see if this is normal. Experienced mothers, please help out, do you think the weight is normal at birth or i have the wrong interpretation. Please note this is our first pregnancy.

About three months old birds, you mean point of lay. Averagely, a good quality point of lay birds from a reputable farm at 12weeks will sell for N800, at 14weeks will sell for N900 and at 16weeks for N1,100. You have your structures in place, you will need to provide costs for cages (you can get a good welder to build one for you or get a fairly used one) feeding, water, biosecurity, medications and other managemental factors. As a rule of thumb for feeding adult birds (layers), 200 matured birds will consume a bag of feed per day i.e 25kg. You can do your calculations from here. Best Wishes!

Better then. I'm glad you claimed it was an error. Yes. Two thousand birds back then must have been a very lucrative business but it is not that lucrative now as Economics of scale have set into every stage of poultry production. The initial capital is still very much (if you are going commercial), and it takes a serious minded person to do the business profitably. Its a business for the wise. As said in my previous post, I will be willing to share my thoughts and ideas so that we can all learn.

Running poultry is very lucrative and a little bit tricky. You need to manage it very well. Its capital intensive, so you have to make room for several expenditures such as feeding and medication.
Chicks do need a warm enviroment which should be provided. You would need power for this which means extra fuel. You'll make good cash cos a chick can lay at least 5 eggs a day.

Dear sir, your assertions here are very wrong. Its better you are sure of what you know before sharing with others. I want to beilive you know nothing about this business, you're only using an Idea.
Let me point out where you went wrong: Chicks don't lay eggs; It's only Layers (commercial adult female birds) that lay consumable eggs and Breeder hens which lays Hatchable eggs. When you say chicks, you mean about 0-4weeks old birds!
Also, it is practically impossibe for a bird to lay more than one egg per day. Theroretically, it takes 26hours for an egg to be laid and Practically, it takes 23hours. This makes it impossible for a commercial hen to lay more than one egg. Averagely and based on my experiences over the years, birds do not lay more than 5days out of the 7days of the week. Correct me if I'm wrong!
Likewise, poultry farming is not as lucrative you all think except its run a large scale, there's always a problem with raw materials scarcity and availability, bad quality of finished feeds in the market just to mention a few.
To the op's question, do you have a land for the pig farming and what stock are u planning to start with? Are u producing for meat production basically or for reproduction in the sense that the pigs would be sold off at weaning stage?
Eggs distrubution is good and you can make more money than the egg producers but do you have a ready made market? Where do you intend to buy your eggs at 500 for pullets sizes? Do you plan to sell your medium sized eggs to bakers, mallams, cakes producers and ...? If you have positive answers to all of the questions on egg distrubution, then you are good to go.
