No, Not really. Since no one is forthcoming with suggestions and luckynzo wanted to. That's why I asked for his email addy.

Nevertheless, please try and recommend this for front page for more ideas. Thank you!

Politics / Oyo State Police Smash Robbery Gang, Recover 7 Vehicles by Mcfemad(m): 7:12pm On Sep 24, 2013
The Oyo State Police Command on Tuesday paraded seven persons said to be specialists in snatching exotic cars in the South West states.
Nigeria's Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar
The command’s spokesperson, Mrs Bisi Ilobanafor, told reporters in Ibadan that the suspects were arrested following a tip off on June 14.
Ilobanafor said the gang had robbed a man of his unregistered Toyota Camry car worth N1.2 million in Ibadan on the said day.
She said that police investigation into the incident led to the arrest of one of the suspects on June 19.
“On his arrest, the suspect made a confession that led to the arrest of others,” she said.
Ilobanafor said that the gang leader took the car to a buyer who was also arrested while three other vehicles were recovered.
“Through the efforts of detectives, one other suspect, who allegedly specializes in the forging of Nigeria Customs Service papers, was also arrested,” she said.
She added that on further investigation, two more vehicles were recovered from one of the suspects.
The police spokesperson said the vehicles were recovered in Ibadan, Port Harcourt, Lagos and Abakaliki, adding that the suspects would soon be charged to court.
The News Agency of Nigeria(NAN) reports that seven vehicles and three motorcycles were recovered from the suspects.
They included a Golf Volkswagen, Mazda bus, Toyota Camry car and Lexus jeep.

Islam for Muslims / Re: Ogun Gives Free Phones To Hajj Pilgrims by Mcfemad(m): 2:44pm On Sep 20, 2013
This is definitely a wrong move

If they can afford the pilgrimage fee; can't they afford to buy a phone or make international calls?.

Besides, what's the sole purpose of giving free phones? I remember the Minister Of Agriculture was criticized for planning to give out phones to farmers which is even beneficial to track and monitor them. Now, why hajj pilgrims?

I'm from Ogun State and a staunch supporter of this administration but this is a misplaced priority.

Btw, why didn't he do this to Christians when they went on pilgrimage?

Business / Recruitment Oufit/agency As A Business?- Ideas Please by Mcfemad(m): 11:31am On Sep 20, 2013
Hello all,

I sincerely need your inputs and advise on this; I'm planning to start up a recruitment outfit that would recruit candidates within the agricultural industry.

I was with a senior colleague yesterday and I overheard him discussing with a farmer friend on setting up a recruitment outfit as a business venture. The idea struck me and I felt it would be a good business and I can start with the agric sector since that's what I'm into now (starting from known to the unknown).

I need inputs and advises from business gurus here and experienced one s in this area.

Thank you!

Its been awhile and trust everyone is doing very well. May all the preggy mamas deliver safely in Jesus name, Insha Allah.

Madam tjskii, hummingbird, opeolukoya, aniksyhne and... how are the babies doing. Trust they are sucking well and daddy is not getting jealous now; I'm beginning to get jealous of my son- you need to see the way he grabs bossom and suck. He wouldn't sleep anywhere apart from her chest placing his head between and his two hands firmly on them as if someone is coming to take the thing away smiley smiley

Read about contraceptives here; all the options they gave my wife at the hospital (FMC, Abeokuta) has side effects and we'd concluded to stay away from these contraceptives but practice natural methods- we use raincoats on days that are not safe and free for all for safe periods. I also understand women who breastfeed exclusively are unlikely to get pregnant as their is an hormone that inhibits ovulation hence, there would be no menstrual cycle during this period. Wife is breastfeeding exclusively and has not seen her period and that gives us an edge to play correct matches with no middle referees grin grin grin.

Read about hitting the baby; I severally took up a fight with wife anytime she tried adjusting the baby with her hand, I even had a fight with our doctor at one of the ante natal visits the way he was 'pressing' the belly thinking it will harm my baby. I later understood it does no harm as long as it is done gently.

I understand Tjskii is the chairlady of the 'yummy mummys association'; make me the general secretary/financial secretary/ treasurer abeg; I can't wait to collect dues from sisters Rukemi291, byvan, queen labisi, favored gal, esmeralada, mummyf, beauty? ? ? and...

May the hand of God rest upon us and our household and grant us peace, sound health and good wealth to take care of our little ones.

Much love. Regards!

Health / Re: Federal Health Workers Embark On Strike by Mcfemad(m): 12:05pm On Aug 23, 2013
This is pathetic; strikes everywhere!
I was at the Federal Medical Hospital, Abeokuta with my 1-month old baby yesterday who needs medical attention and was left unattended to. Everywhere was closed and no one could be seen in sight. I'd to plead with one of the doctors I saw in his car but didn't respond. Everywhere was shut including the emergency section. I wonder why the govt has to be this callous.

It was quite unfortunate as I'd to make a quick plan for a private hospital nearby- which was quite stressful as we'd to start another case history again.

If anyone close to the "powers that be" in this country is reading this; this is appeal that you meet the demands of the striking workers- ASUU and Health Workers and let them resume their duties.

Please, Please and Please.

Thank you!

Trust everyone is doing fine.

My 12days old baby is having cough and catarrh with repeated sneezing, someone suggested we give Amplicox but I'm against that. I gave him Vit C drop this evening when I saw his laboured breathing; we've been told at the hospital not to give anything except breast milk.

I'd taken up a fight with granny this night as she insists we give Ampiclox claiming that was what they gave to me then kiss kiss I planned taking him to the hospital tomorrow morning, though.

Any home remedies?

k4kenny:

You can put a little mentholatum on cotton bud and gently insert it in his bum for a split second. It always works for M̶̲̅ε̲̣.

@Mcremad. Congrats again on ur boy. Have u guys heard of unripe pawpaw for jaundice. Its soakerd it water for a day and a few drops is given to d baby. Would have suggested the early morning sun , but the waether is too harsh right now. You may have to take him in for phototerapy if his bilurubin levels are still high.

Thank you K4kenny, the doctors said the bilurubin levels are not too high as it is less than 10, that was why we're discharged. Though, they asked us to come for another test today, but I wouldn't as I don't seem to like the way the baby was punctured for blood collection the last time we went. We're using the soaked unripe pawpaw. Thanks a bunch ma. Trust you're doing good.

I am so so happy, Praise God for tjskii and hummingbird- we now have four boys in the house within one week; this is the Lord's doing and its marvelous in our eyes. I'm sure there are more boys coming to join- we're building a boys hostel smiley smiley smiley.
May the good Lord grant all the pregnant women in the house (and beyond) safe deliveries. You will all have great and good testimonies to share. Our babies will grow to perfection in Jesus name.

To all those in TTC, I'm trusting God for you; you'll have good news to tell/share very soon. Babies shall grow in your womb soon and you'll carry them to term.

double blessing:

To the latest dad on this thread,Mcfemad,e ku owo ni diapers. You are a great man.Love to wifey.

Thanks for the kind words, Double blessing, as a matter of fact, the arrival of my son was/is a double blessing to me; my career got a boost this same month and I'm really so happy about it.

Vigil has started already, my son wouldn't sleep through the nite, he only sleeps during the day and keeps vigil at night. It isn't easy as I've to resume work 8am every day; my wife is on morning duty while I do night- grin grin It worth it though and I thank God.

@Honey86, don't be scared of stitching ooo, come and see how they stitch my wife, but thank God sha! How are you doing?

Hello,

My first baby's naming ceremony was held yesterday and I honestly think that authorizes me to part of this thread smiley smiley smiley. It's a great to be a Father: I'm loving it sha smiley smiley.

@Mothers in the house, how do we handle Jaundice, my son was diagnosed to have Jaundice but the doctors said it isn't much in his body system. We had repeated three tests within one week and was asked to come again tomorrow for another test to see if the Jaundice is progressing or not. I'm afraid my little one will be punctured again and wouldn't want it to happen. I'd told my wife we're not going that the baby will be fine.

How do we handle it,please?

@all, the naming ceremony of my boy was held yesterday and God proved himself as the Alimghty. His names are Ifeoluwaleyi, Oluwabamise, MoniJesuloluwa and about 15 others (I dnt know how to translate the names to English-someone could help out).

@Hummingbird, I strongly advise you visit the hospital immediately for proper checking;(that was the exact complaints my wife had before she delivered late last week Sunday (unfortunately, I couldn't finished my story). We're even told that it was God who saved her as the baby has been preparing to come for over week and had become slightly weak. As a matter of fact, it was not yet her due time but God proved himself beyond science. Everyone around us were surprised to hear that she has given birth, since they saw her the previous day.

Hence, rush down to your hospital and ask the doctor to carefully examine you. Its well.

@Madam tjskii, I'm trusting God for you for safe delivery, do not fear induction, it may be painful but worth it. Our doctors where my wife gave birth Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta had to induce my wife as she had no opening or see any signs even at 37weeks 2 days, she was ruptured and thereafter induced, It was a battle that lasted for over five hours, I was by the window side monitoring what's going on as I was not allowed in. But as it is, We thank God for his grace and mercy.

Start preparing oo, your child is near and its going to be stress free. I pray its a girl ooo; I'll just do book me down for my handsome bobo. smiley smiley smiley

It is important to get the ATT, some say you can take the 5 at once, but its better taken the way tjskii advised. That was how my wife took hers, she felt pains for days with swellings. The whole subsided after a week or so.

I had been busy all day, that's why I couldn't continue my story. Shall continue shortly;I'm sure the first timers would learn a lot.

How it went? I had a strong feeling to visit my mum on a weekend and we agreed to go Fri, 20th July. Wife, mum and my siblings tallked till 1am and I was concerned when she woke up around 6am to say she has headache, feeling nausea and weak. "I can't get my self", she told me. We felt it was a sign of malaria and planned getting Coartem before she said there's no need as she's now feeling better. (She had gone to the toilet earlier where she passed out watery faeces) She later vomitted and mum suggested we go to the hospital, she didn't like the idea as she had obviously got better.

Sleep ke? The thing still look like dream. Madam tjskii, expect your baby before the week runs out. Your delivery shall be safe and healthy in Jesus name. I'm pure Ibadan man and wouldn't mind eating amala in your place after my son's naming on Sunday. My wife had requested I break the news here on NL esp Tjskii whose advices helped us greatly. She also asked me to tell all the preggies that all is going to be well. We shall all deliver safely. The labour story isn't a funny one and I'm sure all preggies especially the first timers would pick one or two things from it. Would share it shorlty
