dominique: I expected the article to give us a good description of these eggs and pictures. A lot of people may want to resort a a form of alternative therapy. They should be able to know tell it apart from other types of eggs out thers so as not to be duped. Can someone tell us how to identify genuine quail eggs?

I'm used to buy the eggs for my mum which she takes everyday and has proven to be beneficial for her health. Every health complaints almost disappeared within two weeks of use, all those age related sicknesses were subdued and she has a better health up till this month. It was also recommended to my wife. I can't really say this is how it looks like; but its smaller than the normal eggs with patches of mixed colours (say black, grey and white) around the shell. It used to be 30 in a crate (that's a small white perforated plastic used to package food in most hotels and restaurant). The best os to get it directly from the farmer. Quail egg is good for everyone but it must be gotten from a reputable source and stored properly. You can google it to know more about its health benefits. See attached images.

Thank you!

Op, I disagree with you from my point of view; you actually spent some time in Gboko and you should not come to a conclusion that Gboko is the most promiscous place. I served in Gboko town, though there are things like that but it is common and seen everywhere.

k4kenny: Now that's a tricky one. The flask I got before I had my boy was horribly fake. To think d owner of the store assured us of its quality. It was as if he was trying to discard to useless product to d first clueless person. A couple of years later, my mum got M̶̲̅ε̲̣ the exact brand of flask, they were identical even down to the colour. I was perplexed, telling her not to have bought this fake brand. She assured M̶̲̅ε̲̣ that she trusted the lady who sold the flask. Lo and behold, on putting hot water in the flask, it kept it hot for the next 3 days.

Moral of the story: even if its a good brand, some unscrupulous traders might have tampered with it. Seek advice before going to buy.

Many thanks ma. This is helpful. But the bolded is exactly what I need.

Advices, please.

Good day all, trust we'd a pleasant weekend and the week started on a good note.

I will like to make another enquiry; We've heard so much about buying flasks- some are fake, some don't work well, some cannot hold hot water temperature beyond 3hours or so and bla bla bla. Some say to recognize the good ones, you should put ear and if you hear sounds- its a good one. This flask brand is good- this one is bad!. Its somehow confusing and no one wants to waste money on buying on fake/not too good products.

Experienced mothers in the house, your opinions please. How do we recognize the good ones?

Thank you!

maran1983: Mcfemad, speaking based on my experiences. Both babies hated their cots/crib. To show displeasure they'd cry each time I put them in; if they slept and I put them in it they'd be sure to wake up in the next hour unlike when they slept on my bed or even on the parlour couch (with supervision of course).
Now for the stroller, because we live in an estate it has been very useful. I'm using the same one I used for my son for my daughter; her father takes her out in it most evenings.
Thank you ma, this helped. More please!

Welldone and Good day all, trust everyone is doing pretty well; I want to believe I'm not the only man here ***feeling shy*** I'd been with you on this thread where I learn things day by day; so I'm one of you smiley smiley smiley.

I and Wife was planning a baby shopping lists last night and we decided to include among other things; a crib/cot, stroller, bassinets, baby bouncer etc. We've been to the markets earlier where we saw some samples and were told the baby stroller can also serve as a crib for baby to sleep in day & night; instead of buying the baby cot and the baby stroller. I want the best for my child and at the same time have to consider my resources, we're finding it difficult getting our priority lists and here we need the advice of experienced mothers/fathers to help us out. Baby cot/Crib or Baby Stroller?, how long can it take the baby? What's the cost effectiveness? I'm afraid of buying things that will only serve for awhile and become useless. Please help out! Help prioritize our baby lists (We already have the hospital items).

Thank you!

There is nothing as delicious as this especially when you have well pounded yam / fufu to back it up. The interesting part is that you can't enjoy the meat on its first day of cooking (except its well soaked in hot water b4 cooking)...wait until the second day and then you testify that the Lord is good grin grin.

Politics / 3 Nigerian Men Caught With Box Of Fake Dollars by Mcfemad(m): 3:38pm On Apr 05, 2013
By Yusuf Muhammed & Ayodeji Dedeigbo

The police at Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, Ikeja, Lagos State, southwest Nigeria, have arrested three suspected fraudsters who dupe unsuspecting members of the public using fake dollars and a fake Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, certificate.
The suspects, Olasende Akinsiku, 40, Abiodun Akiniyi, 35, and Tajudeen Lasisi, 40, were arrested following a complaint by a retired Major General to Abba Kyari, the officer in charge of SARS, that he was swindled by the arrested suspects.
Akinsiku, who hails from Ondo state, told P.M.NEWS that they tell their victims that they stole the dollars from their place of work and wanted to convert it into naira at a cheap rate so that the victims will not suspect that the dollar notes were fake.
The graphic artist explained further that he was introduced into the crime by his friend, Abiodun alias Tokunbo Babatunde, the owner of the machine they use to print the fake dollars.
On how they were arrested, Akinsiku said it was when he went to meet the General at Women Development Centre, Agege, to collect another N40,000 with Abiodun that they were arrested by officers from SARS.
The Ewe, Oyo state-born Akiniyi in his confession said Ajibola Ajimson whom he referred to as his mentor introduced him to the General in 2010 and he met the General in Abuja at that time where the general concluded arrangement to come back to Lagos to transport the consignment with bullion van to Abuja.
In order to make the dollars which were neatly packed in a small steel box look real, the group forged a CBN certificate which has the inscription ‘Vol: $2.5 million’, ‘domination’ — mixed, Grade A. One, and ‘consignee’ the name of the retired general.
Abiodun also forged a CBN identity card bearing the name Tunde Bakare (Mr.) with No.011
While confirming the story, the Lagos state Police image maker, Ngozi Braide, a Deputy Superintendend of Police, said the suspect, will be arraigned as soon as investigation is concluded and warns youths to shun criminal acts.
The Lagos state police boss, Mr. Umar Manko, also promised criminals in the state hell if they did not stop their criminal acts.

ocman: During my wild days in the university nine years ago I had a brief fling with a guy I met through a friend. We had séx a few times and saw each other for about a month before we lost touch.

Fast forward eight years later; my immediate younger sister introduced this same guy to me as her boyfriend. I was hoping they would break up so he wouldn't be an issue between my sister and I but that didn't happen.

A year later, they are getting married. Their wedding is actually this Saturday December 15th. There's serious friction between the guy and I as we can't even look at each other or talk directly to each other.

I have been avoiding him since he hooked up with my sister but now that they are about to be married, I'm stuck.
Should I tell my sister what happened between us or leave things the way they are? Does she have a right to know?
I'm confused. Pls help!!!

...with the bolded, this crap can be on NL front page? Its really surprising this was posted this morning and the poster is claiming this Saturday, December 15th (maybe he's another world, though). But, Our Moderators are sleeping and tired of being one to have recommended/put this on the home page. Seun and his team need to wake up and be thorough with what they put on the front page. This is actually messy.

Hello all,

Have we taken time to read the conditions of service for SSC & DSSC criteria?

SSC: SSC will be granted for 10 years. Six years will be on active list renewable thereafter for a period up to 3 years. No extension is admitted after the ninth year of commission except on conversion to regular combatant where applicable.

DSSC: Direct Short Service Commission will be granted for 10 years, for an initial probation period of 3 years, renewable yearly for another period of 7 years. Direct Regular Commission may be granted on conversion after 3 years as commissioned officer.

One needs to seriously consider the bolded lines.
