Politics › Buhari Voted Against A Nigerian As OAU Sec Gen In 1985 by mcino(op): 2:53pm On Feb 17, 2017 |
According to a Facebook user, Efe Bazuaye who quoted Vanguard of 2015, Buhari voted against Paul Onu in 1985 in favour of a Nigerien Fulani. Read the post below No be Today! Between 1983 and 1985, Peter Onu of Nigeria was Acting Secretary-General of the OAU. At the 1985 Summit in Addis Ababa, statesmen like Julius Nyerere, President of Tanzania, lobbied for his election as substantive Secretary-General. However, there was a major stumbling block to Peter Onu’s candidature: his Head of State, Muhammadu Buhari, was campaigning against him. Buhari claimed: “This generation of Nigerians and indeed future generations have no other country than Nigeria.” But when the crunch came, his allegiance to Nigeria disappeared. In the election of the OAU Secretary-General in 1985, Buhari voted against Nigeria and for Niger instead. He secured the election of Ide Oumarou, a Fulani man from Niger; as opposed to an Igbo man from Nigeria. By so doing, Buhari became the first and only Head of State in the history of modern international relations to vote against his country in favour of his tribe... - Vanguard, February 3, 2015 https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10209590947384698&id=1058452744 |

Martins301: Who started military coup in Nigeria? Igbo soldiers. When it was retaliated they cried foul and sought to break the unity of Nigeria which the government resisted. Don't turn history upside down. Igbos are too domineering. They can't live peacefully with others without plotting ways to take their properties/wealth whether by hook or crook. This has been the problem and the main reason Niger Deltans will never support your struggle. Is Nzogwu not a Niger Deltan? Which Niger Delta support are you talking about? Are there no Igbo in Niger Delta? Are some parts of Niger Delta not parts of the defunct Biafra? The moment you try to claim to be from Niger Delta, but your brain couldn't carry out the simple task of defending it. |

ExInferis: How can it be verified that the money was planted?
How can his supposed conversation alone with amaechi be verified?
How can it be verified that the name of buhari was mentioned as unhappy?
This is just a lot of smoke and mirrors thrown up by a horrendously corrupt and desperate judge to deny his guilt and win sympathy.
The NJC has long been shielding and enabling judicial corruption. Hope you saw where he referenced the CJN? He briefed him, after his meeting with Amechi and even the CJN told him how Amechi had been trying to bribe other judges. It is there, and you can see it. That is an evidence. The same Amechi called DSS in his house, and handed him the phone to speak with the DSS operative. These calls logs and even his communication with Amechi on phone can be traced. That is the verification |

doctokwus: Bullshit, concocted childish tales. This is where I knew the mofo was lying:even if one takes double dose of Valium, once your adrenaline starts pumping due to fear as this night raid must have been to d judge, all dizziness, talkless of sleep takes flight till the traumatic events of that nite pass. For this criminal to av claimed he slept, dozed or was too dizzy so much so he intermittently lay down, while d DSS was ransacking and traumatising him is bullshit. Secondly, the usually prescribed anti malaria drug these days usually even makes one restless and agitated, certainly not dizzy and dozy all thru an event of such a nite. For fabricating these lies, this man shud be jailed for at least 25yrs. Rubbish! What are you talking? What does amodiaquine do to a patient? |

dayosaba: So if she isnt throwing shades at her, why is she saying her mum sells pomo and her husband a driver. That seems pretty glaring enough The Kemi of a woman has poor delivery of messages in English language and that might be the reason why she clashes with people anyhow. Look at it this way. Olajumoke is a celeb, who gives back to the society, yet the mother is selling kpomo and bread, while the husband looks like a driver. This can only mean that the managers are the only people enjoying and benefiting from her fame. So, Kemi is lashing out to the managers and those agencies who are doing this to the innocent girl, thereby calling the bastards. She also expressed fear that she might go back to where she was coming from if the trend continues. The reference to the mother and the husband is just to illustrate and put more evidence to her assertions |

najib632: You're definitely the kid and also a very ignorant one. The $2.1bn that dasuki is a part of a larger $15bn ask Deizani where the rest is. Boko Haram will soon end that is a fact, compare the rate of bomb blast during PDP's era to APC's. I know you will say Jonathan bought the weapons and ammunitions being used by PMB to combat Boko Haram but it's just totally stupid of you to think so because if GEJ had intrest in fighting BH, U.S. would have sold weapons to him. Infact do you know the number of soldiers that died? do you know the numbers of dead police men? Compare the number of dead Muslims to the number of Christians, Compare the number of bomed Churches and Mosques. You will just wake-up in the morning with hatred and tribalism in your heart instead of thinking of a way to give your children a better future. This country may or may not divide but I know that anything that happens is for the best. Stop being one sided with theives and corrupt leaders. The northern leaders that have stolen alot how much have I benefitted how much have their states benefitted how much have their communities benefitted. God will surely Judge all of them thank God every soul shall taste death lemme see how they will bribe their way to heaven. How old are you? Can you read what you just scribbled down? " I know you will say Jonathan bought the weapons and ammunitions being used by PMB to combat Boko Haram but it's just totally stupid of you to think so because if GEJ had intrest in fighting BH, U.S. would have sold weapons to him" I asked you a simple question and warned you not to make assumptions- a trade in Stock for kids, and true to my warning, you were rolling in your vomit over and over. How can I be stupiid for a silly assumption of yours? I don't engage kids because of unnecessary banters like this. Back to the topic. Dasuki and Deziani did not steal steal a dime, unless a competent court of jurisdiction convicts them of same |

koboko69: Thank God u admitted number one.
Who are ministers that were youths?
Ok, women as ministers..... So? How did help an ordinary Nigerian or the economy? Rather......the women proved to be more sophisticated thieves than the men.
U call a secondary sch extension a university. Virtually all federal universities needed upgrade and renovations but in the quest o deceive dumb followers and enrich some individuals, that was abandoned, and new glorified secondary schs where created. Interestingly, this same people hailing "new unis" were quick to tell us that, Jonathan could not overlook old roads and create new ones when the olds ones needed rehabilitation. I wonder how the logic works for road construction and not for unis. All the new unis joined together can never match up with what is on ground in OAU as an example which was built with cocoa money. Not to even mention other univerisities. Oil in Nigeria is a curse. What? |
