I don't like being categorised or labelled something I didn't say I am. So don't do that its condescending. But I do get your point, and I only hope you get mine too. I am the kind of person that likes going for what he truly wants. From your previous posts it sounded like you would have gone for a better phone than RN8 if it had the sd card. So I was like there is otg there na no reason to get anything lesser than what you really want.

Then I asked, why not get a laptop instead? Most of the tech pple I know are know are more focused on the strengths of their laptops than their phones. But I do know know a guy who makes amazing graphic design with his phone. That's why I asked. Out of nowhere someone else that my reply wasn't tailored to, jumped on it and you know the rest.

Xiaomi is great but I don't follow blindly. And I personally don't feel the sd card is necessary. That's my own opinion and I do hope you respect that just the same way I have come to respect yours. 256gb is too much for me. And based on statistics I believe this is true to most average phone users. That's why you see IPhone, Xiaomi and other brands are not too keen on the sd card. Because average phone users make up more than 80% of phone sales.

You are in a minority to be honest. You can freely petition xiaomi or whatever brand you like that don't use SD cards for their top phones or better yet go for Samsung. But to come here and guilt trip me into accepting your narrative just because we are "African brothers" is not something that brings me positive vibes. Just because you have your opinion on the matter doesn't mean we must all accept it and unite with you against phone brands. I don't share your views and that doesn't make my opinion anyless important than yours, that I have to drop it and blindly unite with you

But since you clearly like Xiaomi and don't want to go for Samsung at least for now then using otg isn't that bad of an idea. But it clearly sounds like you don't buy this idea, so get the RN8 instead for now till you get enough cash to get a Samsung phone that will give you everything you personally want. Case closed!

I very well understand your point. Someone like me, that has heavily being into Tech business both home and abroad for 15years, knows that majority of your stated points are false. SD Cards fragile or not durable?! Na those fake roadside own? Talking experiencially, I've lost more phones and harddisks to irreversible crashing than SD Cards. Oh Boy! Very rescillient Invention that should not be taken off the Plate. In fact non of my original SD Cards has ever spoiled. Also, uploading to Cloud is a good idea, which I regularly do too. But what happens when you saved all your life in Cloud and got locked out? I've lost a Some vital Accounts for forgtting Password. I believe many of us must have lost access to an email or fb we created before. I once lost a vital Account due to sudden change of IP when I travelled abroad. Also, what happens when you travel to an area without Internet or you don't have enough to buy Data but need access to you vital large files? Truth is the place of SD Card in mobile Tech can never be undermined. Samsung is wisely really cashing in on the modern monopoly. We call on Xiaomi to step in!

Thank you my brother. For me, it's even more important cos I move with big files on the go. Very sizable population of the World cannot do without SD Card slot. Cut-throat priced Samsung high end phones that handle up to 1TB Card is the answer. But I'm afraid of investing that much and mistakenly breaking the screen. I hope stronger Xiaomi would step in and break Samsung emerging monopoly is this advance SD line.

We know that over the years, buyers have been free to use this forum as a means of calling out sellers when they have deals gone awry,.
I hope that sellers too will be given the same courtesy because I have some buyers whom I will soon be calling out for items bought and they have refused to pay despite my best effort.

One of them is particularly very painful given my previous engagements with that person.

The 24 year old does not deserve pity. It is not about him. It is about the poor girl. He is a rapist and who has also groomed two underage boys. His child will be better off without him. The woman should think about the poor girl.

Before you start talking about the boys and getting justice for her. Let's take care of the girl first. She may have been exposed to HIV given the profile of the boys here. She may also get pregnant. If it's not too late already you need to get the girl to a hospital where she can get Post Exposure Prophylaxis, that way she won't get the virus. But this has to be under 48 hours. You also need to get her the morning after pills to prevent pregnancy. Then, she needs to speak to a counsellor too as fast as possible. The emotional pain is the heaviest for issues like this and you never can tell when it would weigh on her.

After this, let's get the law to help correct the wrong from those boys. Depending on the state this happened, you can get the boys behind bars using the VAPP Act or the state version of it.
