StarBoard: @Ajanlekoko,
Kudos should be given the ref for being brave enough to make that call.
Shirt pulling is against the law and it has to be stamped out,but most refs tend to over-look it for reasons best know to them.
To me,if it is a foul,it should be given, and if there are twenty penalties against the same side, twenty penalties should be given.
A lot of ignorant folks are screaming ref, but I say Milan were so negative to the point of pissing me off.
That game would be played 15 times and Barca would win 20 times.
Nicely put.

Milan could only muster 6 shots (3 on target,3 off target) over two legs while Barca had 36 shots. We had 2 neat penalties that weren't called in the first leg, nobody muse over that.

Funny as soon as we are given a legit penalty, the
whole footballing world begins to call us cheats once
again. Quite amusing. Yet, it's funny how nobody
mentions decisions that go against us, such as John
Terry's shirt pull on Henry in the first leg in 08/09,
Abidal sent off for Anelkas dive, Milito's offside goal,
Sneijders foul on Alves, Yaya's ''handball'' leading up
to Bojans goal which would have sent us into the
final. Against Arsenal, Messi's offside goal where he
was onside, Diabys foul on Messi in the first half
where he completely body checked him……… I could
go on all day.

AjanleKoko: ^^
I don't have any issues with that first call.
What do you say about the second? Sure, it gives our team the advantage, but we are fast earning the tag of a 'cheating team', and in the interest of fair play, I would rather we didn't get those kind of breaks. I'd have felt much better if Barca had won without controversy.

ABOUT 10 GAMES BW MADRID AND BARCA SINE
MOU CAME, HAVE MADRID WON MORE THAN ONE?
HAVE THEY NOT LOST 6 OR 7? SHOWS BARCA ARE

STUPID MAN! (iv) THAT IF WE RUN INTO MADRID IN
CL, THEY WOULD AGAIN GO HOME EMPTY-HANDED.
(v) THAT APRIL 22 IN CAMP NOU, MADRID WILL LOSE
ANOTHER 3 POINTS.(vi) THAT BARCA WILL WIN LIGA
IN THE END.(vii) THAT PEREZ WILL SACK MOU WITH

Of course they were. I haven't seen anyone but the
most deluded arguing against the first, and the
second…
Well, as Rio Ferdinand posted on twitter (I love that
the players clearly sit down to watch other games –
the Man U guys seem to follow Barcelona pretty
closely), a shirt pull is a foul. The ref followed the
rules; a foul in the box is a penalty.
Are shirt pulls always awarded penalties? No.
They're frequently not. But this was so blatant and
right in front of the ref that he didn't really have a
choice, especially considering the uncalled penalties
in the first leg. I think Milan are pissed off because it
probably wouldn't have been called in Italy… but this
is Europe, not your domestic league, and it's your
responsibility to adjust. End of story.
We all hate it when it comes to a penalty rather than
a goal scored off open play. Unfortunately, that's a
byproduct of how Italian football is often played.

replays show that it was a penalty both times. When
you're holding the shirt of a player in the box, it’s a
penalty. I’ve been taught this since I was a kid,”
declared Guardiola to reporters after the match.

Goodluck to Madridistas! They asked for an easy ride to the semis and they got it. Time now to challenge and play against more worthy opponents. Funny thing is, Madrid tends to underrate Bayern. I hope I'm wrong

Unto the next 1.
Those penalties were ultra legitimate! Glad we went through. We deserve to. Much love and respect to Milan, they played well.

I wonder if they still use black and white TV in Nigeria! Where did this people watch their own match sef? U need no interpreter to translate the rules of the game to u. Tugging a player's shirt is a foul in contemporary football.
Barca had two clear penalties in the first leg that weren't called, nobody said anything about that. Pls peeps, free urselves of prejudice. The better team won the game, and its clearly the Blaugranas!

sweetguy10: Please pep should not play iniesta on the wing today , he should play in the midfield , you all saw what he did against bilbao, his beast mode was unleashed , ......tello is a super sub , he should not start .Other than the penalty he helped us get against bilbao he was lost in the game , I want to see the forward trio of messi, alexis and pedro . Alexis and pedro will bombard the wings with their pace ....anyway guardiola knows best , forza barca !!!!
U just summed up my thoughts in one piece.

In Pep we trust!

Records are meant to be broken! And they are best appreciated when done by more worthy achievers; when penalty-amassed goals are not taken into credible consideration.

Nice game we had tonight. Bring on Milan on Tuesday.

MTN is a scam! Infact, no single Nigerian service provider is left out. Etisalat BB runs an unlimited bandwidth which presupposes that one can download ad infinitum. My first three weeks were amazing. My downloaded files (mostly seasonal movies) and sundry went above 8GB at an enviable speed, but, alas the deal. The welcome has been halted. As I speak with u now, my download speed hovers around 4-9kb/s. Its even worse on 3G whether its day or night. And like the op, other etisalat users around me who download minimally have things working well for them.

Milan played their hearts out. Now, the pressure is on us to perform well at Nou camp. I see us winning that one anyway.
I wonder why Pep stuck with Keita the whole game. He looked out of ideas I guess. I expected he should have withdrawn Keita for Tello, thereby leaving Don Andres slotting back to the midfield to assume he's normal position. That would have given the team an extra creative flow in the middle. Watching the game was like seeing us play with 2 holding midfielders(the more reason Milan's final ball on the counter amounts to nothing). Glad with the overall performance of the defence. Good to see Gerard Shakira hitting top form. He was a beast tonight.
