If City win at Wembley, having already qualified for the Champions League, then Wolves - as the team who finished seventh in the Premier League - will qualify for Europe for the first time since 1980. They would go into the second qualifying round of the Europa League.

That would see United, who finished sixth in the Premier League, qualify for the Europa League group stages.

But if Watford win the first major trophy in their history, that changes everything.

The Hornets would qualify for the Europa League group stages and Wolves would miss out.

In that scenario United would go into the second qualifying round, which starts on 25 July. The problem with that? They are due to face Tottenham at 12:30 BST in Shanghai that day in the International Champions Cup, a pre-season tournament.

Because City won the Carabao Cup final, the Europa League second qualifying round spot for the winners goes to the lowest ranked Premier League team to qualify for Europe.

Among United's options would be...

Splitting their squad between the International Champions Cup and Europa League match
Trying to move the game or games to Europe, although both United and Spurs play in Singapore a few days earlier

Pulling out of the International Champions Cup and letting another team take their place.

Because City won the Carabao Cup final, the Europa League second qualifying round spot for the winners goes to the lowest ranked Premier League team to qualify for Europe.

Obviously referring to Manchester United as the LOWEST ranked grin grin

Crime › I Didn’t Authorise Benin Kingdom Chief Priest’s Arrest —edo CP by Mcreloaded(op): 1:52pm On May 16, 2019
The Edo State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed DanMallam has said that the command never authorised the arrest of the Chief Priest of Okhuaihe Shrine, Osarodion Usuanlele, the Ohen Nu Koni Evbuekoi of the Benin kingdom.

DanMallam made the clarification in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Thursday in Benin.

NAN reports that the priest was arrested and detained in Benin by operatives of the police anti-cultism unit following a petition by a member of the banned Community Development Association.

The detention of the priest in Benin is viewed in the kingdom as a taboo, because it broke an age-long tradition which held that the Ohen N’ UKoni would never enter Benin, the abode of the Oba.

The tradition was started in the 15th century by Oba Ewuare, the Great.

The Okhuaihe Shrine is located at Evbuekoi in Uhunwode Local Government Area, and as part of the Oba’s coronation rites, the Chief Priest must engage in a symbolic wrestling with the Crown Prince.

After the wrestling match, both of them would go opposite ways, never to see each other again once the Crown Prince becomes the Oba.

Uhunmwonde, where the chief priest resides, is more than 60 kilometres from Benin City.

Three dogs were said to have been slaughtered and other sacrifices carried out near the police headquarters before the Ohen N’ Ukoni was released. Other sacrifices are to follow later.

DanMallam said that it was a sad development that the indigenous people who were conversant with the traditions were the same people who tried to mess it up.

Firstly, I did not authorise the arrest of the chief priest and nobody informed me until the traditional offence had been committed.

“Benin kingdom is one of the oldest kingdoms and we have high regards for the kingdom and will not allow anybody to come and mess the tradition up,” he said.

He said the command was looking into the matter, adding that he would ensure that those involved in the arrest of the chief priest do everything required to cleanse the land and appease the gods of the kingdom.

The CP said that the arrest must have been done by some “overzealous officers” in connivance with some members of the chief priest’s community to humiliate him.

He said that the police had no problem with the Benin kingdom, as the command holds the kingdom and the Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, in high esteem.

Until the police start doing proper investigation and letting the public know why a criminal that was handed to the police by citizens are released and did not appear in court then and only then will jungle justice stop.

Imagine time and again a criminal is handed to the police and the next thing the criminal is released and did not appear in court only for the criminal to start intimidatiing those that reported him to police, how will the citizens feel.
This is what has let to the upsurge in jungle justice.

May God help us in this country
Government should ban eating of all forms of bushmeat that does not have NAFDAC number lol.
On a more serious note we as Nigerians should watch what we eat because we are what we eat at the end of the day.
Some meat like SNAKES (lalasticala), monitor lizard, monkeys, Vultures, dead whales or other dead animals should not be eaten.
The thought of eating these animals is nauseating enough
Health › Singapore Reports Rare Monkey Pox Virus By Nigerian by Mcreloaded(op):
Singapore has reported its first ever case of monkeypox, brought in by a Nigerian man thought to have contracted the rare virus by eating bushmeat at a wedding.

Symptoms in humans of monkeypox — which is endemic in parts of Central and Western Africa — include lesions, fever, muscle ache and chills.

Transmission is usually via close contact with infected animals such as rodents and monkeys and is limited between people. It is not normally fatal but has been in rare cases.

The man who brought in the virus arrived in Singapore on April 28, the city-state’s health ministry (MOH) said in a statement late Thursday.

The 38-year-old developed symptoms two days later and is currently isolated at an infectious disease centre in a stable condition, the ministry said.

Another 23 individuals who had been in close contact with the man have also been quarantined and will be monitored for 21 days.

Outside Africa, human monkeypox infections had only been previously reported in the United States, Britain and Israel, according to the US Centers For Disease Control and Prevention.
