Folks, how many of you have noticed this norm? I have encountered and heard of scenarios whereby some vital family decisions have been put on hold because of certain directives from abroad. Probably because the ''been to'' member of the family who is not around feels he has to dictate who does what and what action is in vogue or archaic. Most times this is worst with folks in the UK. I know of a landlord friend who made funny decrees in the agreements with his tenants. The funniest one being that the tenants cannot harbour visitors in their flat for more than 30 days. And would have to notify the caretaker in writing in advance of any visit that would exceed the stipulated 30 days; imagine! He forgot that this is not UK, after all hospitality is part of African culture . All advice as a friend has fallen on deaf ears. Any witness guys? ![]() |
naturalwaves: If Enya were in a church choir here in Nigeria, I am very sure that I will never miss a service here cos of her Angelic voice. I have a whole lot of tracks from her and I listen to any one that goes with the mood. If I'm off to work in the morning in a bus and my earpiece is on,it has to be CARRIBEAN BLUE. If I'm working against time,it has to be STORMS IN AFRICA or THE MEMORY TREES. When I'm engaged in anything that requires topmost precision, concentration and brainwork, FAIRYTALE works for me because of the beat counts. Moreover, it is only a music genius that can sing a whole song with just LA-la-la and still make sense. Anyone that's in doubt should just download FAIRYTALE.Music is a universal language of the soul, hence anybody, any kingdom can use it. But who uses it, their allegiance, religion etc is where the scrutiny and debate comes in. If Enya were a christian then her music would promote such. On the hand she's not and she has an allegiance too which her song must promote. |
Adedayo516: You believe this songs are evil?....well, everyone has got a right their opinions..........you can manipulate some weak minds but not all.......Hope Has a PlaceThe trick is not in the lyrics but rather in the sound and its effects on the mind. Arguing over issues i don't know is not my forte, hence i know what am saying but i sure ain't forcing it on you bro. In these talks, the container (Enya and co) is the source nay the emitter of the content. New Age is the brand. Hence, the wordings are most times secondary if not immaterial. Electrifying and charging up the consciousness is the punchline here. Most facts are hard to accept cos they quake up the status quo! ''Each to his own sha''. |
prologue: Enya? E ya... Most persons "enya-ing" with partial knowledge. It is worst than ignorance. Do u have sufficient understanding of the realm u are taken to? U want to dance to the dance of d "cricket", not knowing it is the dance of the spirits. Can u explain her songs? U want to belong abi? You are entrapped... Oiling an endless obsession with an ever widening appetite in the drift into d higher dimensional. Soon, u will need higher consciousness when u get too excited in the "enya" orbital level. Therein lies the problem. U are ignorant and uninitiated, so it gets very dangerous. Expect some to call me slowpoke and mumu. Its not them that speaketh and I forgive u in advance. May the Lord Jesus guide your hearts to the truth. Don't follow those marked for destruction.Thumbs up to you man!! Suffice it to be said that its mind boggling how some people readily jump onto the bandwagon of doubt when salient truths stare them even stark unclad in the face. First of all, what am about to opine here is meant for those folks who are innocently ignorant. Each genre of music has its attendant feelings. Rap, Hip Hop, Rock n Roll, Jazz, Soul et al. For instance, tis not for nothing that rap music usually incites rude behaviours. Music is meant to affect a state of the mind, consciously or subconsciously. When you talk of Enya, Enigma, Yanni and co, you talk of New Age religion and music. Those who know some things about that movement will understand that it is occult related. Enya's Sweet Lulllaby, Only Time, Orinocco Flow, Wild Child among others used to hit me below the belt! Yanni's Playing By Heart, The Mermaid, Tribute, Renegade, Swept Away, Aria, Santorini, To The One Who Knows et al once held me by the gathers. But i try not to listen to them anymore. Lol. I bet most people don't have an idea that such intense soul massaging sounds are used in ''highing'' up oneself before exiting the body, during soul travel, ESP etc. Even snake charmers know what effect these types of music exert on snakes! Such superlative sounds can never be without a purpose and an owner. They are God's or Satan's, period!! Meanwhile, figure in the fact that Satan i.e Lucifer was the heavenly choirmaster before his sack and then the picture gets more clear. I can go on and on but for now, you folks who peradventure care about your souls should be wary of so many seemingly harmless ''self destruct buttons'' installed by the Devil and his cohorts to entrap innocent minds. The fact that music soothes the mind does not make it totally pure! Most things are not what they seem. Its normal to not want to easily give up that which we hold dear to; yet its irrational to ignore warning signals meant to keep us off danger. Guard your souls jealously o! NB: Like i said before, my expose is not meant for every Willy and Harry. |
Onyocha: too blind to know how youYeah that's it. I always knew that terrorists are too blind to know the right from the wrong. Of course you would be doing yourself much good not knowing abt me. Look at what the IED that exploded in your hand during operation has done to your perceptive powers!! |
Onyocha: if you didn't know what im saying why don't you yourself shut-up?All these islamic terrorists sef. Always trying to appear as the victim even when they are the guilty ones. Look at what half education and free mb has done to you!! Upon your lame attempt to assume a better entity ala your username, the concentrated, warped aboki gene still gets the better of you....tbh. |

@BAMILASSA, But what do you want the FG to do? Haven't you been aware that BH threw the right rules of engagement to the wind and boxed a whole nation into a corner. Why are some people unreasonably daft and puerile? Smh. Go and treat that LASSA fever o! emBAMing (em-BAMILASSA-fever) it leads to loss of rational thinking like you are typifying. So sai!! |
Pls do an analytical review of First Bank of Nigeria seconded by Japaul Oil. Thank you. |
boron10: Ok, you've succeeded in naming few failed Governors from the south, needless to say they did better than their past and present igbo counterparts. Why are you so tribalistic? SMH......Typical omo yuruoba. |
Super1759: what is TA orji still doing?LWKMD, Guy you wicked o. |
bigass: Both are thieves. Pastors Adeboye is the leader of satanic pastors and Jonathan is the leader of occult. Friendship with the world is enmity with God. Jonathan is a worldly leader. In the last days Jesus will say: get thee behind meWatch your tongue to avoid God's anger. |

Pls how good and cheap is HTC Rezound? (twas released in Nov 2011)I want to order it online and learnt the price has been slashed to abt 55 dollars since around mid quarter of the year. What do you also think of HTC Evo 4G LTE's value for money and its affordability? Thanks in advance! |
advocate666: Many theists believe in the omnipresence of god. They sing it in their songs. It is the reason why they pray anywhere because they believe god hears and sees them wherever they are.666 man or whatever your nomenclature is, am not trying to join issues with you because i perceive you are anti God and its hardly healthy explainging these things to a mind like yours. At best, its a waste of time which stokes strife and modulates the pleasure your ilk derive from such. All the same am only trying to plug the doubt you seek to establish in the mind of the innocent young ones. For starters, if anyone can successfully and adequately make out the composition of air, its movement, location at given points in time and origin etc. then, he or she may now start the long, beyond-una-intelligence thought of justapoxing God with common sense and feeble self deprecation.......To cut a long story short, God made the air we breathe. And air is virtually anywhere you can think of. Now, by the virtue of a simple logic, the created(Air) is an evident and a picture of the creator(God). Hence, if air can possibly be everywhere, then why cann't God. If the devil claims omnipresence albeit falsely, then how about God Himself who created all these things. All the places you said God exist are true and are |
Danka7777: Point of correction: The 38 properties belonged to Sir Louis Ojukwu; Ikemba Ojukwu's father who was a very, extremely wealthy man in his time. He, Ikemba didn't spend his money. He usurped the properties/monies of his siblings passed on to them by their late father to financed the war. And No, he didn't love his people, millions of Igbos were killed for his selfish agenda and he absconded out of the Country. If he really and genuinely loved his people, he would have stay in the country and die for his people as did Gaddafi. Honestly, the prestige he is held to by igbos isn't deserved at all, in my judgement. For all igbos who haven't studied deeply into the civil war, go and do so and get a first hand knowledge of what happened.Hmmm,...its refreshingly interesting to see an ABOKI chipping in snippets as these. Never knew they can be this interested in their nemesis...the accuracy of his bigoted rantings is a case for another day though, boko haram...sic... permitting...sic! |

muktarl: ^Are you sure you have ever been to the east talkless of Imo state? Ask around if you can but, most of your Hausa brothers feel safest in Imo state and am talking out of the whole igbo speaking states....How many times have you heard that there was reprisal attacks from Imolites against Hausa indigenes here? Such things usually occur at places like Aba in Abia state, Onitsha in Anambra state and sometimes in Enugu state. Your central mosque here is situated stonethrow to the goverment's house and state police headquarters unlike what what obtains up north. Comparing Imo state to any northern state even in their most peaceful period is like comparing night and day. Not to talk of mentioning modern day definition of mayhem(Maiduguri and Kaduna states). I welcome arguements but not ones born out of sentiment than first hand information. I have dozens of Hausa, Yoruba indigenes as well as Kogi, Plateau, Delta, etc friends both as friends in my neighbourhood, colleagues at work and customers in the markets. What they testify here punctures your sentiments. Don't ever mention Imo state in the same sentence with those religion hotbeds again abeg. We may have out problems but senseless violence and inhospitality is not of them. |
In as much as we cannot deny that Imo state is imperfect, at least just as every other part of Nigeria, lets not make ourselves look foolish by swallowing incorrect information hook, line and sinker. I lived in the north; Kaduna to be precise. Likewise Lagos, and Port Harcourt. I presently live in Imo state and frankly speaking, am just learning of some these crimes here. Am not doubting the veracity of the crimes but i think among the whole southeastern states presently, Imo state is more peaceful. Reading through the original post, i discovered the guy i.e Ohaneze1 is trying to incense unneeded strife by his tone. Most of the crimes he listed may have taken place at different periods probably spanning 5 to 6 months period and above. @Wasiudvd, if you really got a job in Imo state, do take it if its more paying. Am a federal public servant in the state and if you compare the crime rate obtainable elsewhere, you will understand that all these Ohaneze1 is talking about is not as bad as it seems, truthfully speaking. The said assassinations are sad nonetheless but there are certainly more than meets the eye in these happenings. Most of them are usually politically motivated or business deals gone wrong. Just as is obtainable elsewhere, no one comes to any harm unless they have a cause to be; God forbid though. @Merkels, am sure you are a Nigerian? Lets not pretend as if our various states do not have their bad points. I doubt whether you are speaking without prejudice albeit informatively. Because you will know that the rate of crime during Udenwa's regime is a record that is still there to beat. Also former PDP thugs are certainly not happy that money is not flowing like before. All in all, the commissioner of police needs to sit up or go sha. Lets judge this state's governor upon the completion of his tenure. |
@tlops, stop putting women on a pedestal. The key is get a life, as in something worthwhile u are doing. Make friends with various women, ALWAYS tease them 4rm a "holier than thou" standpoint, above all stop taking women too serious. Nothing puts women off like being too needy. All d same heartbreak is not ur enemy per se. See it as "que sera sera" and u can only get toughened. Many guys like my humble self are spoilt 4 choice cos i do the simple maths of romance wella. One must not live off women's attention to succeed u know. |
This topic should be a kick in d butt to all those guys who overly brood over heartbreak. In d first place, such guys are sissies nay wussies and deserve every bit of d breakup. The golden rule of romance 4 real men is to like ur lady very much, add little bits of luv. If at all there gonna be luv, hang it around 45% plus d likeness. Why strain ur heart on a person whom u haven't married yet. On d other hand, methinks every person ought to taste heartbreak in their lifetime prolly before marriage, so as to keep some things in check sha. Real men prepare 4 the worst 4rm d outset, SIGHS, Tis a pity most guys these days are men only by their privates. Whatever happened to the world of nonchalance! |
@Rhino; ur type always updates me abt d perpetual delusion entitle to chelski fans. Anyway am patiently waiting 4 ur combined harvesting of goals, Mcheew! |
