Education › Re: 7 Easy Ways To Migrate To Canada by McStoic(m): 8:16am On Sep 12, 2021 |
whistles: Canada is an amazing country with amazing opportunities and migrating is not as tough as people think. But, only if you know the easy ways. Would you like to know the easiest ways to migrate to Canada? If you are current, you should know that the country, Canada has currently ranked as the #1 country in the world with the best quality of life by a recent survey in the US News & World Report.
Tons of people migrate to Canada every year in search of a better life. The ready availability of jobs in Canada is also another factor that is attracting people to immigrate to Canada.
If you have always wanted to migrate to Canada but don’t know how to, follow this article carefully cos it will educate you big time. The easiest ways to migrate to Canada will be discussed and we’ll show you exactly how to move.
This article features 7 easy ways you can migrate to Canada. Make sure you read to the end.
Table of Contents
Study Permit Spousal Sponsorship Trade Agreements Secure A Job With Work Permit International Experience Canada (IEC) Visitor Visa Start A Business Study Permit
If you’re looking for some of the best schools in the world, you can find them in Canada. People travel to Canada to get a quality education. You can use this option to migrate to Canada. Usually, you’d be given a study Visa to come to study in Canada but most times, you’ll be required to live and work in Canada while studying.
If you can get a long-term permanent job, it’ll help you apply for your permanent residency (PR) after your program.
Spousal Sponsorship
This is also a legitimate way of migrating to Canada. In this case, you can migrate by getting married to someone with Canadian citizenship. A lot of people are taking advantage of this option to migrate. However,? if you’re caught faking it or even trying to fake it, the penalties are tough.
Usually, Canadian Immigration will look closely at you and your spouse for 2 full years before signing off the papers to authenticate the marriage.
The conditions are pretty simple. You may marry your partner in your country of citizenship or in any other country except for Canada and afterward receive an overseas sponsorship.
You can also travel to Canada with a visitor Visa, then tie the knot there, and then request inland sponsorship.
Trade Agreements
If you work with a company that has an arm in Canada or your company has a contract with a Canadian company, you can simply request a transfer to a branch in Canada. It is that easy but of course, there must be a link between your company and Canada or a Canadian company.
Trade agreements between Canada and some other countries allow for intra-company transfers, but you have to be from some countries such as Chile, Jordan, Peru, Colombia, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Costa Rica, Mexico, United States of America, Iceland, Norway, Israel, or Panama to be able to take advantage of this option.
You can apply for permanent residence after working in Canada for 12 months. If you’re in a position as this then this is your best shot to migrate to Canada.
Secure A Job With Work Permit
Another easy way of migrating to Canada is by securing a job in a Canadian company using a work permit.
This option is best for those who may not qualify for an intra-company transfer or those whose countries are not supported by the Trade agreement. (But this option is also a tricky one. For this option to work, you will need a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LIMA). An LMIA states that no qualified Canadian is available to take the role you want to fill for).
International Experience Canada (IEC)
International Experience Canada (IEC) provides youth with the opportunity to travel and work in Canada. Young people between the ages of 18 – 35 years are allowed to work during holiday vacations in Canada but with an Open Work Permit.
This category is for you if:
Don’t have a job offer yet Want to work for more than one employer in Canada You want to work in more than one location You’d like to earn some money so that you can travel Australia, Denmark, Japan, Norway, Taiwan, Austria, Estonia, South Korea, Poland, Ukraine, Belgium, France, Latvia, Slovakia, United Kingdom, Chile, Germany, Lithuania, Slovenia, Costa Rica, Hong Kong, Mexico, Spain, Croatia, Ireland, Netherlands, Sweden, Czech Republic, Italy, New Zealand, and Switzerland are all participating countries. For a few of them, eligibility expires at age 29 or 30.
You can use the work experience gathered during a working holiday to apply for permanent residence through the CEC, a federal skilled worker of trades program, or a particular province’s skilled worker and semi-skilled worker program.
Visitor Visa
Another way you can move to Canada is by visiting Canada using the Visitor Visa. You can’t find a job with this type of Visa or even be allowed to work. However, you can network and chat with people in your industry. You can’t say you are coming to Canada to look for a job when asked by an Immigration officer at the border of your purpose to Canada, You sure have to lie about it. After all, you are here to sightsee and enjoy your vacation in Canada.
Have fun; meet people and have a nice time in Canada while networking and connecting with people. Some may offer you a job to come back to Canada after the expiration of your stay.
Start A Business
Another way you can come to Canada is to start a business in Canada. Canada is recruiting entrepreneurs to start businesses that create jobs for Canadians and can compete on a global scale.
So if you have the funds to start up a business in Canada, this may just be the easiest way to move to Canada. Canada has a very good business-friendly environment to establish a business.
This is a complete guide on the easy ways to migrate to Canada. Follow these steps and you will surely succeed in your quest to migrate to Canada.

Romance › Re: Nigerian Girls And Entitlement In Foreign Countries by McStoic(m): 8:15am On Sep 12, 2021 |
NuCypher: I have to say that Nigerian girls are about the most entitled lot in foreign countries. My experience with this bunch of people is, what can I say, completely underwhelming. Like what are you feeling like? This is what I also hear from some of my friends who are here in the US and Canada, and based on their experiences, they have decided to not touch Nigerian girls with a long spoon. This then is why most of them are very lonely in these countries. What are the problems you ask?
1. They believe they are the ones to "give" you sex. And that after having sex with them, you should show committment. I mean, biatch, you enjoyed it too. And I was working myself out for you to enjoy this session. What do you mean you "gave" me sex? 2. They expect to say "yes" first before you guys starting dating. After some romance here and there, the next question is "what are we?" Really? Okay, we are the world! I mean, come on!, you are in a foreign country, not Nigeria. Wake up, madam. 3. Once you say "hi" to them, they start to think you have ulterior motives. Just "hi" o! Nothing else. Abeg, madam, na your textbook I wan borrow o. I no even get interest. Yet, they start strutting up and down , thinking you have an agenda. 4. When, or rather if by some miracle, you get their number and start talking to them, they expect that you should be the one buzzing all the time, asking after them, checking up on them, in other words attention! Like you are not a human being yourself who needs to be checked up on. And when you don't bother to text them regularly, they just don't look your side anymore, don't even care if you are dead. This attitude is something they have imported from Nigeria, and only God knows how far they have taken it in the west.
In short, some of the most archaic dating practices is what they have stuck in their head. Somebody needs to tell them the truth. Little wonder, most naija guys here don't even look their side anymore. I have extrovert friends who are sexually active and who will tell you for free that they will never touch a naija girl. Very sad.
The strange part of this whole thing is that if the guy involved is not Nigerian, come and see how these girls will be running up and down to check up on the guy and act totally non-Nigerian. This part is something I'm still trying to understand.
Anyways, Naija girls una need to wake up. Unless una go grow old for Yankee without boyfriend and husband. You made some valid points though especially the one of not wanting to associate with a fellow Naija guy. Not all though. But a Naija guy will be down to earth and real to you most times than Naija girls.. |

Politics › Re: Godwin C.Ajala: The Only Nigerian Who Died On 9/11. How He Saved Many Lives! by McStoic(m): 7:59am On Sep 12, 2021 |
V7place: Godwin Ajala is remembered as a U.S. national hero who fought to save the lives of countless people as they escaped from the World Trade Center Towers on September 11, 2001.
He is also the only Nigerian listed among the nearly 3,000 people who died because of the attack.
Ajala was born in Nigeria on June 9, 1968, the son of a retailer from Ihenta, a small town in the eastern Nigerian state of Ebonyi. At the time his region was part of the break-away Biafra which was in rebellion against the central Nigerian government. Ajala came of age long after the Nigerian Civil War ended and Nigeria was reunited. As an adult, Ajala became a lawyer in Nigeria. His family, including his wife, Victoria, and their three children, Onyinyechi, 7, Uchechukwu, 5, and Ugochi, 1, lived in Ihenta. In 1995, Ajala emigrated to the United States to make a better life for himself and his family.
When he first arrived in the U.S Ajala bounced between poorly paid jobs but eventually obtained a steady position as a security guard or Access Control Officer at the New York World Trade Center towers at the Concourse (ground floor) level. In this position, Ajala rode elevators and walked floors of the 110-story tower at Two World Trade Center, helping secure the building and attending to small emergencies.
Ajala worked in this position while preparing to take the New York State Bar Exam with plans to reunite his family in the U.S. once he had passed the exam. Friends described him as working from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. as a security guard and then coming home to study for another 6 to 8 hours every day.
Despite his efforts, Ajala never achieved his goals of becoming a lawyer in the United States and bringing his family to the U.S. Nor do we know if he would have ever been able to achieve these goals since, having little money, he was unable to attend law school in the U.S., and instead took more affordable specialized prep courses for the New York Bar Exam. He failed the exam three times.
Yet on the day of September 11, 2001, Ajala demonstrated his self-sacrificing character when, instead of running to save his own life, he helped to evacuate thousands of people from a street-level security post inside the lobby of Two World Trade Center when the second plane hit the building. He held the door open for people running out, and repeatedly went back inside to guide more people out of the blazing structure. Exhausted after helping to guide many out of the attacked building, Ajala reportedly first went into a coma and died the following Sunday.
Ajala died at age 33, one of 11 security guards among the nearly 3,000 people who were killed at the World Trade Center.

Prettiepearlz: No! Before you compare, you must have facts and statistics and you must have experienced the two states. So let me ask you, if you haven't lived in Canada before, how did you conclude that they are pretenders? Is it because they are not as racists as Americans and don't dish out a lot of hatred? I need to understand. In one of your points, you claimed the US is a Christian state. What kind of state is Canada? Moslem, Jewish? I will like to hear from you. Do you have the statistics of the black population in Canada? Do you have the statistics of the Asian community in Canada? I don't mean to be rude but in my opinion, your facts/ comparisons are flawed. I love both countries though. Don't give in to people who would degrade your thread. Don't fall for it too, Ignore some comments you are not okay with. Best comment here by a mile. But like I told you, I have folks who live in Canada. I myself have been in and out of US and also have folks who litter almost the whole states. Again, history and information we come across daily are there to help us...Thanks for you advice.. |

I think before he is justified to make comparisons, he must have lived in the two nations and not just one. McStoic, have you lived in Canada before? That's not how comparison works. There are reasons why in research you sample opinions. I am in touch with many of my folks from there.. I have not been to Çanada but I have been to US; Tennessee and Louisiana to be precise. I have several folks almost in every US state, so I know what I am saying. I also have folks in Alberta, Ontario province, Manitoba, Saskatchewan etc. And they like Canada but there are limits to what you can be there as compared to USA. Can you even own lands like you can do in USA there? The world and her best always choose USA. If you want to hustle and make a name in any field, USA will give you options. If you want to just idle away on subventions and cautious ways of life with loneliness to boot, Canada is there for you. You should concentrate more on the points I raised whether they're valid not just asking. You can even browse them for a start.. |

Lagbaja88: you are talking in nonsense. Canada became popular after usa immigration became hard. Canada has a skilled immigration program that gives you Permanent residency and citizenship after 3 years. You can then move to the usa after that. If trump did not make usa migration hard no one will remember Canada. Imagine even those in usa were doing Canada express entry. No point being an illegal in the usa or living with fear. To enter usa these days you need student visa and life after that aint sure. Dont come here to tell us rubbish Yen yen yen....You are suffering from "Canadian citizenship expectations syndrome" I gave you endless facts above and all you can come up with is Express entry and visa talks.. LMAO So what happens if you get the Citizenship? You are clearly beclouded by your expectations of Canada to see the truth of what I am saying. I am taking about age long facts you are talking about immigration. See mentality!! Come back and talk when your Canadian dollar surpasses that of the US. Come back and talk when you guys surmount all the problems USA has faced and overcame. Having lonely acres of land with few population ain't shit. Yes Canada has good standard of life now and security. But a sovereign, world super power with over 300 and something million inhabitants and a country of 30 something million inhabitants tied to Queen Elizabeth's apron strings with weaker dollar to boot are not the same. The number of the world's A lists personalities living in the US and those living in Canada sef tells all the story. In life try to know your mate. |

Soo...
US is light years ahead of almost every other nation on earth in terms of human development, opportunities, diversity of human race, in short over all achievements and it's the melting pot of the world. US citizens are more liberal than Canadians. Even Nigerians who live in US are more generous than those in Canada. Canada is still under Britain (Queen Elizabeth owns a lot of Canadian lands) to an extent, USA is a totally sovereign country. The list goes on..
USA is a country you can stay in and still get almost exact feel of almost every country in the world. Every country of the world have their people in the USA as immigrants. Go to Louisiana and Maine for instance, you will feel like you are in France and parts of Canada especially Quebec... California, New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, Colorado etc will give you the same Spanish feel as you would find in Spanish speaking countries.
Come to New England such as New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts etc, you will feel English presence. Hawaii gives you Japanese presence. New York and the likes will give the Italian feel, there are even places called Little Italy in Manhattan, New York, Chicago Illinois, Boston, San Francisco, St Louis etc.. There are also over 40 something Chinatowns scattered all over US cities for Chinese feel..Holland, Germany, Russia, Canada and much more countries have their annexes in US...
From my own side, Houston Texas is the city with highest population of Igbos in the United States. Aside that, blacks are so much in Texas as a whole.. I am sure no one feels bored in the US like they would feel in some parts of Canada. Once you set your foot into the US, you can hardly be deported unless you have committed a crime etc. US citizens are more real. They don't pretend as Canadians. US citizens are more friendly, more informed and more exposed. They are even wealthier than Canadians et al
Continuing, USA are the friends of Israel and uphold the freedom of the modern world. Without them, terrorists and enemies of freedom will run over the world. The world under US can never be enjoyable and full of liberty as when pretenders like Russia and China maybe succeed in having the same status as world police, God forbid though! US has seen wars and is still united. US population is over 300 million people; still not saturated and is taking more. She is still able to care for her citizens food, shelter, health etc and give out to the less privileged nations.. Canada is the second largest country in the world by landmass but her populations is only 30 something million people. Canadian still has a long catch up to do before she can be seen in equal light as US. She still has challenges USA has surpassed eons ago to navigate.
From the religion angle, US is a Christian state. Yet is also welcoming to all religions and even those who seek to destroy her. In short, Southern US states of Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri, Louisiana, Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama etc are called the Bible Belt of America. These places have over 50 to 70 percent of strong and high Christian views and church attendance. Nashville Tennessee is home to gospel music of the world. Racism exists everywhere, but US is most tolerant of other races. What you cannot achieve in the US, you may have a hard time achieving elsewhere. She is a land of unlimited opportunities. USA is damn exciting!!
Last but not the least, cos I cannot exhaust them here, the US dollar is more valuable than Canadian dollar. Any progressive and informed person will choose the US over others. Let me stop here for now.. |

From the religion angle, US is a Christian state. Yet is also welcoming to all religions and even those who seek to destroy her. In short, Southern US states of Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri, Louisiana, Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama etc are called the Bible Belt if America. |
Romance › Re: I Think My Sister Is Gay by McStoic(m): 11:20pm On Sep 10, 2021 |
shogsman: My little sister is 26 years old, this is a very articulate, beautiful, eloquent masters degree holder who was born and raised up in naija at least for the most part.for the sake of privacy I aiint going to get into too much details, just enough to show why I am suspecting her. I watched this girl grow up in a normal typical yoruba household with 3 Male siblings and to my best of knowledge she's always got boys at her heels yearning for her attention as early as 17years of age which was about the time she was preparing to go to college. What I've always known about her relationship is that she was never really committed to them,it was always a matter of convenience for her,but I just thought she was just different and biding her time. This is a girl that has never seen any man as attractive no matter how much we or I pry,but like I said we never thought anything of it. She went to Shreveport,USA for her bsc and ultimately her msc for almost 8years. Like a responsible big brother I look her up time to time to check up on her and try to see what is going on with her life, because we happen to be the closest in the family, what I notice is that there is always a particular caucasian girl in the background whenever I Skype her which was once in a month at least . At first I thought it was just a friend crashing at her place because I know she doesn't have a roommate she doesn't live in a frat house or even in school ,but this two seems particularly close cos they post pictures and pretty much everything together. To burst the bubble, a couple of weeks ago she came back here for a wellness check or an holiday so we really connected, I haven't seen her in like 2 years so we had a lot to talk about which most definitely include relationship talks.but of course she just got back and I have to let her breathe first because my sister loves her space, she's not really the talkative kind. A couple of days went by she came to my house to spend the night, she wanted to pay for a delivery online, poor girl thought her accounts will work here seamlessly but unfortunately the payment didn't go through so I took her phone to find a way around it. Curiosity had me so I strolled into her gallery to find pictures of a sexy tall blonde replicating all over the phone, this pictures were personal pictures if I might add,I felt guilty for denying them their privacy but I was curious still so i checked messages, emails etc and yeah my suspicions were true. This particular girl calls her like 3 times a day, they pretty much talk all the time really, it was during one of this calls I asked my sister who she was, she answered that it's just someone close to her back in the states, I slipped up and told her about the pictures so she got angry and left which was understandable. What I deduced from their chats and all is that they've been dating for 5 years now and their relationship is pretty much open because my sister is in contact with both of the girl's parent. Eventually I reached out to my sister again and apologized for going through her emails and I pretty much pressed her until she confirmed everything. I was taken back a bit so I said to her,it is just a fling right,to which she replied ''big bro i don't do flings I am going to marry her''. The problem now is that our parents are traditional especially our mother there is no way they will accept she is gay,and I know for a fact that this will definitely not stop my sister because she is a very resolute girl and she and the girl appears to be madly in love with each other ,the girl even had her name tattooed visibly on her neck. I don't know what my next course of action should be now because I want to try and avoid creating any rift between her and our parents. Shreveport, Louisiana of all places!? Few states are as controversial as the Bayou state in USA. May God have mercy on her.. |
