No fewer than 14 people have been reportedly killed in an attack on Mado village in Atyap Chiefdom of Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

It was learnt the fresh attack occurred on Saturday night during which some houses were burnt.


But in a swift reaction, there was an attack on a Fulani settlement and the assailants were said to have stated that they were avenging the death of their people - the 14 people killed in Southern Kaduna.
The Chairman, Atyap Chiefdom Peace and Security Partnership Committee, (ACPSPC), Mr John Bala Gora, who spoke to Daily Trust on the development, expressed disappointment that incessant attacks occur despite efforts at restoring peace.

He, therefore, renewed his appeal to security operatives to redouble efforts to secure the “defenceless and peace-loving people of the chiefdom”.

A Fulani settlement in Kankada, Madakiya District in Bajju Chiefdom of Zangon Kataf local government area, was reportedly completely burnt down on Sunday morning in a reprisal.

Halima Haruna, a female resident of the settlement that was razed was rescued and taken to Zonkwa Divisional Police Station.

She narrated how the attackers surrounded their community in the early hours of Sunday.

Also, Haruna, wife of the Ardo of Kankada, said she saw two corpses, man and a woman, on her way to hide.

“We were forced to run and hide somewhere while some of our people ran to the bush for their safety.”

“We don’t know what happened to them; as I am speaking with you now, we spent three hours before the security (operatives) arrived and took us to the Police Station here in Zonkwa. Our houses were totally razed,” she said

She explained that the attackers told them that they wanted revenge for what was done to them on Saturday night in Samaru Kataf.

She said they knew nothing about the said attack.

Four villages in Atyap chiefdom have come under separate attacks with scores killed, many injured and several houses burnt, in the past one week.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Kaduna Command, ASP Muhammed Jalige, who confirmed the incidents noted that policemen have been deployed in the attacked community.

He, however, urged the people of Southern Kaduna and Zangon Kataf in particular to stop taking the law into their hands.

I discovered that anything someone said, anything someone did, the elderly teacher always said it was false/fake, and I always discovered that he was always right.


It seems that at a certain age,a person always comes to the point where he or she can no longer trust people.

I have discovered also that whatever elderly people say concerning people is always true.

Elderly people always doubt people's statement and actions and it always turns out that they were right.

I meet this girl a long time ago during an event back I my town with my friends, i was about 19/20, young, naive, inexperienced in sex ministry perhaps based on my good christian home training. But I wanted to explore because i was just got admitted into the UNI.

The humiliating surrender to the Taliban could actually lead Biden to toughen up and decide to flex US muscle toward Iran, given the threat it poses to world peace and not just to the lives of local citizens.”

Israel would rather stay focused on the opportunities that could stem from the Afghan crisis. “There’s an opportunity here, too,” a senior diplomatic source in Jerusalem told Al-Monitor on condition of anonymity. “First of all, it seems to me that these events illustrate to Israel’s allies in the Middle East that only one significant force remains in the world stable and determined enough to stand up to Iran without blinking. That force is Israel.”


The diplomatic source added that as Prime Minister Naftali Bennett heads for his first White House visit later this month, he “must convince Biden that the US, as leader of the free world, cannot afford a series of pullouts and defeats in the Middle East.” Bennett is expected to tell the president that giving in to Iran after folding in Afghanistan could set off a disastrous chain reaction with deleterious effects for generations to come.

Analyst Ali Abunimah points out that for years Israel “has been waging a not-so-covert war against Iran, attacking ships and facilities and murdering scientists.” Abunimah reports that Eran Lerman, an Israeli army colonel and vice-president of the Jerusalem Institute for Strategy and Security, discusses how the US should allegedly respond to the “blow to US prestige from the Afghanistan debacle.

“To counter this impact as much as possible, it would be vital for the US to demonstrate – elsewhere, since the Afghan case is clearly beyond salvation – that it is not a spent force,” Lerman writes.

Conveniently, the target he suggests for reinvigorated American belligerence just happens to be Israel’s number one regional enemy, Iran…

Legit or not the issue right now is that he's got the money and enjoying it and as far as Nigerian standard is concerned nobody cares how the money was made.
