Just40: So your preposition us ... We shouldn't expand the Motorway with the half a billion dollars that we have but rather use it to improve the train service?
Because we can only do one of those at a time.
Just40, as for the arguments we can do them plenty here but it won't change the fact that not much is happening on the ground by way of development. Look at how Akufo Addo's singular decision to use commercial flight for his Dubai trip instead of the expensive jet hire he usually goes for for example, is saving us 14,000 dollars per hour? Cumulatively about 468,000 dollars? This money can sink boreholes for poor communities.
Not to be political but during Mahama's time, I always looked forward to watching news because there was always some development projects being initiated or outdoored. Now to even see common borehole projects is rare.
I won't bother with other arguments because it won't change anything on the ground
Just40: if you want Accra yo Tema rail to be profitable, you'll have to stop trotro from plying the route...
That cannot happened in any democratic dispensation.. Don't count on private car owners parking their cars to join a train. It will be an inconvenience for them
I disagree just40. When the Tema Accra line was relaunched did you not see the heavy patronage? Traders alone would heavily patronise the line and make it profitable. As time goes on we can create modern car parks, improve access routes to the train stations, improve security at the car parks, improve the ticketing system, reserve dedicated comfortable cabins for workers, lessen the Accra-Tema commute etc etc, and you'd see workers clamouring to join the train.
vankelvin: Tema City needs a competent and a visionary Mayor, MCE's to collaborate with TDC to go strictly according to the plan of the city. Tema can easily be transformed into a modern city.
I personally do not see the population decline of Tema as a problem.
Thank you Vankelvin. I didn't want to talk too much on this. It's heartbreaking. Tema, Ashaiman with their large populations, great locations on the busy Nigeria-Ivory Coast road, their nearness to Accra etc etc should be planned into proper modern cities with high rises, many multistorey indoor markets, dualized roads, intra city rail etc etc. Even common Tema-Accra rail line which should ideally be double track, even this small line we can't run. Poorer Senegal is running electric trains for example
Etc etc etc. I could go on and on. It's sad. Ghana our biggest currency is our PEACE. And with all this peace if we can't be VISIONARY and think BIG and radically transform our spaces then I don't know
Just40: The City is neglected because it's development is not a govt mandate. The city is run by an almost private Corporation and they have done a good job at it.
It population is declining because, those rich guys who used to see it as a haven that is 15 to 20 minutes away from the bustling Accra where they work, no longer have those views because of the traffic on the motorway that has changed the commuting time to 40min or an hour.
Ok. The long Accra commute reason makes sense. But TDC has done a good job on Tema? Really?
Just40: Tema communities are such beauty .... Even East Legon is playing catch up.
Why's Tema a neglected city? With all the resources, harbour, factories, nearness to Accra, it's planned nature etc etc, why's Tema a neglected city? Why's there a decline in the city's population, when it should rather be going up? From 161,612 in 2013 to 155, 782 in 2020?
davillian: No mind the mumu driver Someone alerted him of the Danger ahead he stopped for five mins and when he saw no vehicles coming he decided to go forward....
Don't blame the driver too much. Robberies are not too common here like they're in Nigeria, so lots of us have not developed an "anti robbery sense". And he also wants to quickly reach his destination from a long night journey
PetroDolla2020: Fvck ya coward. I shouldn't even have wasted my precious time on a f00l like you. Fvck you again A very f00lish goat trying to be relevant kwasiesem

You must really be feeling yourself. I won't descend into the gutter and do the dirty back and forth with you. We're not all mental patients like you. But I'm just letting you know if I have reason to mention you I'd mention you
Your oil money, about 14 billion dollars a year is no small money. Your larger, very fertile land is also a big asset. You're the biggest producers of oil in Africa. Your large, entrepreneurial population is even a big asset. The T.B. Joshuas, the Adeboyes, the Olukoyas etc have made tremendous money/impact with your large numbers
PetroDolla2020: stop talking rubbish on my posts, huh? Next time you respond to my post, I will descend hard on you. Nonsense. stay in your lane. who the fvck do you think you are? I am in good mood today so I'll ignore your stvpid talk, for now. Next time I may not in a good mood

I'm not sure you'd want to be acting stu pid towards me, I be fu.king pass you. If I have reason to quote you or anybody here I would. You're not above correction. Go ask precious girl how I shut her up from posting nonsense posts.
GeneralDae: Surprisingly all of the data I've seen says Tamale is the third major city of Ghana. Do you have a source to the contrary?
Tamale is the only big city in northern Ghana, and I'm sure govt/many people'd like to see it emerge as our third city so there's spread of development across Ghana. Takoradi is in southern Ghana on the coast just like Accra, Tema, Cape Coast etc. Tamale is also one of the fastest growing cities in West Africa, it's centrally located and is the meeting point of several roads. People come from Burkina Faso, Mali to buy stuff from Tamale. It also has an international airport unlike Takoradi
GeneralDae: He even tried, I was expecting him to say the figures were wrong and inflated. Population plays a huge role in Economics no doubt, but there has to be Entrepreneurship and investments on ground as well. This is why Ethiopia is not balling, and not even at least 250 Billion dollars nor has she ever been in the top 5 economies of Africa since 1990. Ethiopia is not balling despite her population because it receives fewer FDI and investments than it should.
Exactly. The Nigerian entrepreneurial spirit alone makes things happen, and must be appreciated. Look at the exploits of archbishop Idahosa, who introduced pentecostalism/charismatism to Africa, or T.B Joshua and how he singlehandedly contributed immensely to the revenue of Lagos state with his televangelism?
GeneralDae: So there were some Ghanians who thought there was no good Nigerian at all? , like literally? This is news to my ears. I believe those must have been amongst the villagers or local guys not the enlightened Ghanians ( If true).
Petrodolla up there is a living example. And these are Ghanaians who've had several unpleasant encounters with Nigerians to come to that conclusion. Maybe when you consider Ghana (most peaceful country in West Africa) Vs Nigeria (with all its security challenges), there's basis for that assertion
PetroDolla2020: Vankelvin, be careful with those nigerians you see as being humans oooh I'd known these animals all my life and they are nothing but evil, trust me
So there's no good Nigerian? Some years back when you read a bad Nigeria story on Ghana web, you'd hear most Ghanaians say the only good Nigerian is a dead one, all Nigerians are criminals. Now you don't see those harsh comments anymore, why?
Because the Nigerians have consciously tried to turn their 'bad' story around. Nigeria that was once associated with fraud, 419, now we associate with Davido, WizKid, afrobeat, nollywood, comedy, entrepreneurship etc
There're good positive Nigerians, let's stop lumping all of them together in one basket and giving them a bad name. Even with all their negatives, epileptic power supply etc they're running the biggest economy in Africa, not Egypt, not South Africa, not Algeria. Let's put some respec on their name
nicerod: Don't go to Ghana and waste ur time u can make money here but it depends on ur location.
Start looking for odds jobs
Bricklaying
Factory work
Carwash
Etc
He should learn apprenticeship masonry, or tiling or plumbing etc, and in 3 years he'd become a master and chop big money. If he comes here to do crime he'd be caught
RedCentaur: Op, kindly adhere to this piece of advice.
Who no go, no go know.
Why would the op even think of going to a foreign country to do crime? Damaging the reputation of the foreign country. What the f.uk is wrong with some of you? Ghana has a new no nonsense IGP, and he's busy fighting crime before we become a yahoo yahoo headquarters.
Shma: She has already made up her mind, she can't stay in ghana. But, let's give it a 20% benefit of the doubt for content creation. But then again, we can't overlook the comparison part in the previous videos.
Comparing Nairoberry to safe Accra? . Ghana should do a few things to increase her appeal though, like improve our electricity so it's even more stable, limit/ban plastic use, improve our sanitation, improve our internet, improve our ease of doing business, plant more trees etc
Hopefully more multinationals would come here, we'd become more cosmopolitan and there'd be jobs for people to do
The West Africa/East Africa differences are what they are and they're welcome. People'd choose where suits them
HenryDion: Rented or given out to thugs to foster their nefarious activities...
You keep hearing of skull miners, but have you ever wondered who the buyers of these parts are?
They are our dumb politicians, musicians, pastors, and top business tycoons and executives who believe JuJu will protect them against their enemies, or accord them luck, power or peace.
I only pity girls who are easily moved by flash things, cause they are always victim. You see them as yahoo boys not knowing they are human part sellers.
One human head can go from #60,000 to over #1,000,000. It depends on the parties involved and the value they place on human life.
A typical Yoruba skull miner wouldn't mind selling for #60,000, for as long as it afford him the next meal and hot. They are often caught after about 5 successful operations.
The real ones are the young business minded Igbo boys cause they sell for as high as #1,000,000 for one human head.
They work directly with the politicians, and
they are given everything they need like flash cars, lots of cash, clothes, jewelries, drugs, etc.
When they hit any club at night, they are sure of going home with at least 5 girls. These sets are rarely caught cause their operations are smooth and well organized.
Throughout the lifetime of their operation, they would have mined the skull of hundreds if not thousands.
Majority of politicians have their thugs, and their activities will be tough this campaign period cause they are into kidnapping too. What they do is kidnapp a weak opponent and intimidate him into submission.
If you know how dangerous the world is, you wouldn't leave your bed in the morning. It's survival of the fittest.
Wow. This's about Nigeria people/politicians? Nigerians are truly evil. People doing skull mining, ritual murders as if it's normal stuff? Wow. Ritual murders are very scary, bring lots of fear and panic into a space because everybody can fall victim, not just greedy shallow girls.
