No single serious feedback comment above.smh
So all these tales, none of you is a salary earner? None of you actually is being "killed by subsidy removal ", and none of you has a salary that can no longer take you home?
This is why the leaders should not be carried away by lamentations on social media full of fake and idle folks.

Most of you are not salary earners, you live above your means and misrepresent those who are the most vulnerable members of the society who genuinely need help. If you can afford to be on Nairaland, you are not among the needy abeg. You're among

What can I do to remedy my situation. Pls no talk of hospital health wise I’m very okay. No diabetics or anything no infection pls help me so I can save my marriage and my myself.

Lols.

No one deserves to loose 50% of their wealth simply because they fell in love.

I thought love is free?

If you divorce, simply move on with what you have and maybe make arrangements for the kids. If this type of women and laws don't exist, he won't be taking this extreme measures to protect himself.

Golddiggers are not lovers and do not deserve pity

Yes. I said what I said
u really nailed , it is quite unfair for a young man to loose half of his wealth for a marriage of 5years.I am very sure that if hakimi was a poor guy she would not marry him

The people who commented on this thread are largely stupid. Plain stupid. I mean it in the very literal sense of stupidity.

What was compared is the minimum wage! Damn! What's the minimum wage in Nigeria? 30k? Will Nigerian doctors earn minimum wage abroad? The least an entry level doctor will earn in the UK is 2500 pounds monthly. What's you people problem?

Will anybody earning 30k naira per month not prefer to earn five hundred plus in Bulgaria? I leave you to your stupidity.

Cheers!

for those shouting are u spending the money in naira ,the minimum wage is 18 or 30k depending on which state and where u work
Can u survive on a salary of 30k per month?
Moreover someone working in UK and earning a minimum wage of 1500 pounds will still live comfortably

Celebrities / Re: Eedris: Politicians Should Stay In Nigeria For Medical Treatment by Mdtoba(m): 7:47pm On Apr 07, 2023
obawinner:
in saner climes, it cost alot for medical student to be trained ranging from about 150million - 200Million naira to become a doctor, this foreign doctors owe student debts their entire life. In nigeria it cost only about less than N500,000 in a public institution with no debts. This cheap education is subsidized by tax payers fund, only for this medical students to complete studing for close to free medical courses in nigeria, their next motive is travelling abroad. this is unfair to the scope of nation building, the stand of the HORs isnt perfect, but its a right step in a right direction for the long run.
let them extend it to graduates , because it is not only medicine and surgery that subsidized

Politics / Re: Statistical Analysis On IREV For Rivers State Presidential Election by Mdtoba(m): 6:48pm On Mar 30, 2023
Obinoscopy:
Recall I had perform an analysis of the presidential results on the IREV portal and came to the conclusion that APC won based on the results on IREV. See link to the thread here: https://www.nairaland.com/7626424/inec-result-analysis-based-samples

However I noticed some discrepancies in the result for Rivers State and decided to probe further. Again I used simple random sampling and multistage sampling to ensure that every polling unit had equal chance of being selected. I used a sample size of 198. I got the sample size using the formula:

Sample Size = S/(1+S/N)
Where S = z2*p*(1-p)/e2

And where z is the z-score which is 1.96 for a 95% confidence level
p is the population proportion of those who voted in Rivers State which is 15.6%
e is the margin of error which we take as 5%
N is the population size (total number of polling units in Rivers State) which is 6866.

The result is mind boggling.

RESULT
So after collating the results sheets from randomly selected 198 polling units, APC got a total of 4637 votes, LP got 8129 votes, NNPP got 47 votes and PDP got 3578 votes. So LP (and not APC as we were meant to believe) got the majority of votes followed by APC, then PDP and finally NNPP. Infact LP got more than 50% of the vote such that if you combine APC and PDP votes its still less than LP’s votes. This corroborates Peter Obi claim that he got 50% of the votes in Rivers State.

This means LP won more than 12 States (13 States or perhaps more) and APC won less than 12 States (11 States or perhaps less). With this result, I begin to wonder if there are other States with this kind of glaring discrepancies.

Caveat:
Whether the results from IREV is authentic or not is a matter for another discuss. My focus was just to use the results I saw on the IREV Portal.
I will commend u for what u have done , however in voting using statistical analysis can be misleading
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: What Was Your Rejection Story Like; How Did You Handle It? Please Share by Mdtoba(m): 5:46pm On Feb 21, 2023
DesChyko:
We've come a long way.

It was during my project defence in final year. My supervisor then was always in UNN, I was schooling at ASUTECH renamed ANSU (now COOU).

You know the normal if you write table of content, bring for approval or disapproval; if you write literature review, bring for approval or disapproval; That was how a Lagos-bred young man from Imo whose parents sent to school in Anambra was just flying up and down and spending excess time in Enugu state on top Project matter.

The date was near, this woman kept dutifully rejecting my work upandan, I kept rewriting and re-presenting; sometimes successful, sometimes I will be sent back to drawing board. 2 days to the Monday and Tuesday we will defend (I will defend on Tuesday) and she was still analysing. That's how I took a chance and started typing my work. Even on the day of the defence, I was still typing. My topic was 'Applications of Complex Analysis'. Diagrams and equations took a lot of time even though the other parts were ready.

My friend came with his bike to pick me to the venue, when the last person before me was on the podium. I packed my unfinished work, manuscript and everything; clad in my suit I borrowed from a heftier friend at IMSU then, and zoomed off to the room. I had not even stepped in when the supervisor screamed "I did not approve this work o". Like WTF!!

I couldn't believe my ears. Was her intention to make me lag behind while others moved on? I approached the panel and explained to them when I started and why I got delayed. They told me to go back to my supervisor. I went back to her, she wouldn't have it. I started pleading. All of this was happening with everyone watching. I was almost losing it; until hope came through with the voice of the HOD who asked if I was confident in what I did. I replied him that every page in this booklet was prepared by me and I don't even need to look at it to remember and he override the supervisor and asked that I present my work then. And present my work, I did.

I think I put on a hell of a show but I remembered clearly, the closing remark by one of the lecturers on the audience. He said "I've listened to all defences from yesterday till today but this is the first work I can actually agree that the student did a thorough job. Well done". The applause and chants of my nickname that followed left me grinning from ear to ear. Needless to say, I was asked to tidy up my work and submit for stamping as a formality, but there is no doubt about the grade on the work.
that supervisor is a devil incarnate
Romance / Re: Sex Is Getting Really Hard To Get These Days. I'm tired by Mdtoba(m): 11:58am On Jan 03, 2023
Lade18:
Recently met this single lady of one. Been the one footing her bills and sending her daughter (5yrs old) to school. She told me She wouldn't let us have sex until she sees I'm committed and reality love her. Although, that's not the reason I'm talking care of her daughter, I just naturally love to spend for people I care about. Just recently, she's wanting to know how much I give my mom and why I'm the one sending her money when she has a shop and making her money.

Yesterday, she told me I don't love her enough. That, if I can open a shop for my mom , then I can do more for her. But I wasn't the one that opened the shop for her, I just supported her.

Now, we had sex for the first time last month and has been denying me sex since then. Yesterday, she came around and I initiated sex, she denied. She told me if we're ever gonna be together, I should learn how to be a man. In her world, being a man involve me cooking, laundry, take her out, and clean. I told her that's cool. But I don't know what a woman will be doing in a House if she's not working while I'm the one footing her bills. If I ask her this, she would get angry.

My fellow men, why are the requirements for sex getting on the increase these Days? Is that they way it's supposed to be?
she is not responsible ,for u to foot the bills add cooking , doing laundry hmm guy run o

You have enough money to buy a car, yet, you are complaining of insuring the car for 1,250 per month?

1,250 per month is your problem?

You are not ready to drive a car yet!

Before you claim Nigeria is not working, better ask the cost of insurance in "Saner climes"!

The 3rd party insurance is free money? Who asked you not to make a claim?

Go and find out when we started paying 5,000.00 for 3rd party insurance! Over 20 years! and you expect it to remain the same?
it just a way to scam people of their hard earnmoney. Have u seen anyone who have been able to claim aforementioned insurance from those companies?

JiniBula6:
Help me!
Is this still gonorrhoea?
I had unprotected sex with a girl in September and I got gonorrhoea.
I treated with some harbs for long time and later went for injection in a phamarcy with some drugs.
After treatment the gonorrhoea symptoms left leaving my penis hole open without pain. For some time now... I complain to the pharmacy and I was told it will close up by itself but up till now it hasn't.
I didn't have sex since September till December 25th when I started again but now I'm steady on a condom.

The whole of my penis is wide open. Today I noticed a little purse coming out again as it became wider. I'm worried.
I've searched online and I learnt it's Gonnocal Urethritis.

But I want to know if anyone here experienced this before... Please help.

Mature Minded Please. No insults
I will advise u to go to hospital for proper checkup and treatment why the choice of a pharmacy?
