MayorofLagos:
His Excellency

Muhammadu Buhari

President, Federal Republic of Nigeria

State House

Aso Villa

Abuja

Dear Excellency,

Let me commence by thanking you profusely for the honour and privilege of serving under your inspirational leadership. It has been a truly rewarding experience to learn from you and to observe at close quarters your integrity and sense of duty.

I have, today, become privy to the findings of the investigation into the allegation made in an online medium that the Certificate of Exemption from National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) that I had presented was not genuine. This has come as a shock to me and I believe that in line with this administration’s focus on integrity, I must do the honourable thing and resign.

Your Excellency, kindly permit me to outline some of the background to this matter. I was born and raised in the United Kingdom, indeed my parental family home remains in London. My visits to Nigeria up until the age of thirty-four (34) were holidays, with visas obtained in my UK passport. I obtained my first Nigerian passport at the age of thirty-four (34) and when I relocated there was debate as to whether NYSC Law applied to me. Upon enquiry as to my status relating to NYSC, I was informed that due to my residency history and having exceeded the age of thirty (30), I was exempted from the requirement to serve. Until recent events, that remained my understanding.

On the basis of that advice and with the guidance and assistance of those, I thought were trusted associates, NYSC were approached for documentary proof of status. I then received the certificate in question. Having never worked in NYSC, visited the premises, been privy to nor familiar with their operations, I had no reason to suspect that the certificate was anything but genuine. Indeed, I presented that certificate at the 2011 Ogun State House of Assembly and in 2015 for Directorate of State Services (DSS) Clearance as well as to the National Assembly for screening. Be that as it may, as someone totally committed to a culture of probity and accountability I have decided to resign with effect from Friday, 14th September, 2018.

Your Excellency, It has been an exceptional privilege to have served our nation under your leadership and to have played a role in steering our economy at a very challenging time. I am proud that Nigeria has brought discipline into its finances, has identified and is pursuing a path to long term sustainable growth that will unlock the potential in this great economy. Under your leadership, Nigeria was able to exit recession and has now started to lay the foundations for lasting growth and wealth creation. Repositioning this huge economy is not a short term task and there are no short cuts, indeed there are tough decisions still to be made but I have no doubt that your focus on infrastructural investment, revenue mobilisation and value for money in public expenditure will deliver growth, wealth and opportunity for all Nigerians.

I thank His Excellency, the Vice President and my colleagues in the Federal Executive Council for the huge pleasure and honour of working with them. I also thank most specially, the team in the ‘Finance Family’ of advisers and heads of agencies under the Ministry of Finance. Your Excellency, this group of committed Nigerians represent a range of backgrounds, ethnicities and ages. They have worked well above and beyond the call of duty to support me in the tasks assigned. The diversity in my team and their ability to work cohesively to deliver reforms, convinces me that Nigeria has the human capital required to succeed.

Your Excellency, let me conclude by commending your patience and support, during the long search for the truth in this matter. I thank you again for giving me the honour of serving under your leadership, it is a rare privilege, which I do not take for granted. As a Nigerian and committed progressive, I appreciate you for your dogged commitment to improving this nation.

Please be assured, as always, of my highest regards and best wishes

MayorofLagos:
Twenty-four hours after her claim to have acquired a Masters degree from the St. Paul’s College in the United States was punctured, PREMIUM TIMES has uncovered another false claim by our embattled Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah.

This time, the minister lied on oath to the Nigerian Senate, claiming another American ‘university’, Pacific Christian University awarded her an honorary doctorate degree in 1998.

Mrs. Oduah made the claim in a 7-page resume she distributed to Nigeria’s 109 senators during her confirmation hearing on July 2, 2011.

On page four of the document, the minister claimed the university, which she said was based in Glendale, awarded her an honorary doctorate in Business Administration.

It was based on this document that she was grilled and eventually confirmed by the lawmakers.

But investigations by PREMIUM TIMES suggest that no university called Pacific Christian University exists in the United States.

The U.S. Department of Education, through its National Centre for Education Statistics, keeps an up-to-date database of all public libraries and educational institutions in the country – public, private and colleges.

PREMIUM TIMES reporters spent hours on Wednesday searching this database.

Our reporters searched by state (California), city (Glendale) and name of institution (Pacific Christian University). Yet, nothing came up in the name of the university Mrs. Oduah claimed gave her an honorary doctorate.

According to the database, there are six colleges (universities) in Glendale, a city of 191,719 inhabitants in Los Angeles County, in the state of California.

The colleges are American Medical Sciences Centre, Brand College, Glendale Career College, Glendale Community and North-West College.

There is no such university known as Christian Pacific College as claimed by the minister.

The spokesperson for the National Centre for Educational Statistics, Susan Ad, could however not be reached for comments.

She is yet to return calls and reply an email sent to her by this newspaper.

The spokespersons for the minister appear unwilling to comment for this story.

Efforts by PREMIUM TIMES to get them to react to this new revelation were unsuccessful.

Joe Obi, her special assistant on media, did not answer or return calls.

Yakubu Datti, the spokesperson of the aviation agencies, who usually speak for her, answered our call but immediately said he would call back. He is yet to do so as at the time of publishing this.

Meanwhile, in the same resume she submitted to the Senate, Mrs. Oduah did not indicate that she got a Masters from St. Paul, raising questions on why she made that claim in her official citations and profiles posted on the Ministry of Aviation website, her personal website and her Wikipedia page.

She only claimed in the document to the Senate that she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Paul’s College in 1982, a claim that PREMIUM TIMES is investigating.

The spokesperson for the Nigerian senate, Enyinnaya Abaribe, tried Tuesday to extricate the senate from blame as Nigerians criticize the lawmakers for conducting a sham screening exercise that allowed Mrs. Oduah to get away with lies and deceits.

Mr. Abaribe said the lawmakers depend largely on the nation’s security agencies to help them investigate claims by appointees of the president.

He said in conducting screening exercises, the senate relies largely on reports forwarded to it by the security agencies.

Mrs. Oduah, and her associates have spent the last several hours scrambling to clean up the minister’s biographies on the Internet, following allegations that she lied about her academic qualifications.

Already, Mrs. Oduah’s biography on the website of the Ministry of Aviation has been revised, with references to St. Paul’s College now wiped out.

The Wikipedia page of the minister was also edited and it now has no reference to the university Mrs. Oduah attended. The last edit on the Wikipedia page was done at 14:41 p.m. Nigerian time Tuesday.

All links and reference materials on the Wikipedia page capable of linking the minister to the university that has disowned her have also been deleted.

Even the minister’s personal website has been reviewed to remove any reference to St. Paul’s College.

Mrs. Oduah had since October been enmeshed in a a N255million armoured cars scandal in which she was accused of compelling an agency under her supervision, the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, to buy her two exotic bullet cars at clearly inflated prices.

The purchase of the cars generated outrage for weeks because its cost was inflated, and it was neither listed in the government-approved budget nor did it comply with the Nigeria’s public procurement law.

The House of Representatives has since asked President Goodluck Jonathan to sack the minister but the president has failed to act.

The chairman of the Ebonyi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Abas Egwu, has said there is the need for Hausa and Yoruba Muslims to recognize indigenous Igbo Muslims as equally genuine and committed adherents of Islam despite their small population and, therefore, give them robust support in the area of da’wah.

Egwu stated this in Abakaliki when he received the National Organising Secretary of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria (ADS), Alhaji Ibrahim Kilani, who visited ADS members in the state.

According to Egwu, it is imperative for the Muslims in other parts of the country to help in the areas of establishment of Arabic and Islamic schools and building of mosques for ease of practice of Islam and the propagation of the religion in the eastern part of the country.

He commended what he called the fairness and impartiality of the state government towards Islam and Muslims, describing Ebonyi as the only state in eastern Nigeria which has a Muslim pilgrims board that is independent of the Christian board.

Alhaji Ibrahim Kilani said he was in the state to meet members of the Abakaliki branch of the ADS to rub minds with them on the fortune of the organisation.

Kilani, a former chairman of the Ondo State Pilgrims Welfare Board and member, National Technical Committee on Hajj, commended the state government for looking after the welfare of pilgrims and for appointing Hausa and Yoruba as members of the board.

The leader of the Muslim community in the state and Vice President General, Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Dr Haroun Ajah, described ADS as a force to reckon with in the state.

He used the occasion to commend Dangote Group for donating items to the state’s Muslim community during the last Ramadan.

The Seriki Hausawa in the state, Alhaji Danjomo Gambo, who was equally visited by Alhaji Kilani, commended the ADS for its impact in the state.

The good people of Nigeria should speak against this oppression. The Police cannot go to the North,West and even the South South, and want to convert it into a modern day slavery plantation and not allow them have any kind of voice.

JoelSavage:
Driving Chief Obafemi Awolowo Through The Principal Streets Of Calabar By Joel Savage

Early February 1980, I left Accra, Ghana, for Lagos, the populated city in the Federal Republic of Nigeria. It was then the era when every young man wanted to go this oil-rich country. It was like the Exodus, the mass departure of the Israelites to the Promised Land. The oil boom had improved the economy, giving rise to employment in every field.

Walking around daily in the city, I got a job in a roofing company as a roofing technician. The nature of the job was to mend leaking roofs. Among other workers, I climbed up tall buildings. At times it is very frightening and dangerous. Under the scorching sun, accompanied by the heat from the gas burner we used to melt the prime felt, one could feel like leaving the job the same day.

We usually grouped every day at the premises of the company to be driven to where we were to work. One morning, the driver who was to take us to the site to commence work, failed to report. He was a driver who was never punctual, thus; always late at work. But that fateful morning, he didn’t show up.

Mr. Adebayo, the transport manager in charge of the company’s vehicles asked the workers in the bus if anyone knows how to drive. I quickly responded. All the workers in the bus were asked to descend and I sat behind the steering wheel to be tested. Few yards from the company’s building, I noticed a number of faults on the vehicle, while driving.

When I told the transport manager the problems on the vehicle, of which he was aware, he quickly had the impression that I was an experienced driver. From that day, I ceased to be a roofing technician and I was employed as a driver. Driving in Lagos, is very difficult, because of lack of rules. Without an accident in my driving career, I was promoted to drive the managing director of the company.

Chief Ambe Bassey, the managing director of the company was a famous politician who contested as a governor under Unity Party of Nigeria in 1979 but lost to Clement Isong in Cross River State. As the leader of the UPN branch of the party in Cross River State, I had the opportunity to meet the great man and presidential candidate of Unity Party of Nigeria, Chief Obafemi Awolowo.

You can read about great people in the newspapers, but it’s always different when you see them personally. Chief Awolowo was a handsome humble and soft-spoken gentleman. Behind the Mercedes Benz with my boss, the crowd at each side of the road bellowed thunderously. “Awoooooooooooo!” with a victory sign.

I drove Chief Awolowo through the principal streets of Calabar for over forty minutes, answering and waving to the frenzied crowd. I was playing reggae, something I purposely did to avoid listening to his conversation with my boss, yet Awo kindly told me to turn down the volume of the music.

I had a great time with the Unity Party of Nigeria and visited almost all the states in Nigeria. I met Chief Ebenezer Babatope, the UPN Publicity Secretary. In Calabar, I fell in love with a beautiful lady and we had a child. Today, my son lives with me in Belgium. Every time, I see his face, it reminds me of those great times with Chief Obafemi Awolowo and Chief Ambe Bassey.

Comparing Nigeria those years to now, one can feel miserable over the position of the country now, yet I believe as a great nation, with all the resources, the country can stand once again on its feet through a very good leader.

Politics › Zambia Africa’s First Casualty In China’s Defaulting On Loan Repayment? by meccuno(op): 3:53pm On Sep 07, 2018
Zambia’s power company’s ZESCO is set to be among the first casualties of China’s takeover after default on loan repayment, a report

indicates.

The report by Africa Confidential, titled Bills, Bonds and even Bigger Debts claims that Zambia is in talks with China over a possible takeover of

the electricity company. The report also says that the national broadcaster ZNBC is already owned and run by China.

“A major worry of the IMF and US is that China’s BRI strategy is first to encourage indebtedness, and then to take over strategic national

assets when debtors default on repayments. The state electricity company ZESCO is already in talks about a takeover by a Chinese company,

AC has learned. The state- owned TV and radio news channel ZNBC is already Chinese-owned. The long-term outcome could be effective

Chinese ownership of the commanding heights of the economy and potentially the biggest loss of national sovereignty since independence.”

Zambia is one of the African nations that was in China earlier this week for the China-Africa summit and President Edgar Lungu is reported to

have gone back home after visiting a number of Chinese companies and after receiving a grant of $30m for the Lusaka East Multi-facility

Economic Zone electrification project.

The Africa Confidential report also indicates that a number of projects in Zambia are financed by China even though the amount of debt has

been piling over the years.

“Since President Edgar Lungu came to power, Zambia has signed off on at least US$8 billion in Chinese project finance. Over $5 bn. of this has

not been added to the total because Zambia insists the money has not been disbursed, and more large loans are in the pipeline. Yet the finance

ministry does not have the capacity, insiders say, to police, let alone stem, all the spending. In some cases, the financial penalties for halting

disbursement on projects would outweigh the savings. Donor governments have offered technical assistance to bring the project debt mountain

under control but have been rebuffed.”

However, Zambia’s minister of energy, Mathews Nkhuwa, has come out to rubbish the report, stating that such a sale would not go through

because it must be vetted by the cabinet. He further added that the company is a national asset with a massive valuation and cannot be sold.

“There is no such decision by Cabinet. As you know ZESCO is such a huge company and anything to do with it will have to be decided by

Cabinet and I can confirm to you that there has not been anything decided on the future of ZESCO,” Mr Nkhuwa said.

China has been considered a good partner by many African governments, however, concerns have been on the rise in regards to increasing

debt and treatment of Africans by the Chinese. In Kenya, revelations of racism at the China-funded standard gauge railway not only shocked

many but also uncovered a series issues that African governments need to address.

Western countries have also raised concerns over Africa’s debt to China, but it has not stopped them from presenting their own loans and

projects to the countries if the recent visits by western leaders are anything to go by.

studentofTruth:
It's funny to see Nigerians applaud this Somoye guy simply because they felt mesmerized by the figures he's throwing. I know Nigerians hate mathematics and figures but at least common sense and basic principle would make the obvious more obvious.

Admittedly, lack of political conditionalities and supervision (if true) of utilization of the loans is a good thing. But that's just about the only good thing about Chinese loans BASED ON THE FIGURES POSTED IN THIS ARGUMENT. The key features of a good loan shows that IDA is a far better option than the Chinese loans.

The primary features of "better" loan lie in the INTEREST RATE and DURATION OF PAYMENT.

1.INTEREST RATE: Chinese 2-3 (or 3.6)%; IDA 1.25%. which is better? IDA of course. If you doubt it, I would ask you a question: if you're taking a loan would you go for a higher interest rate? I bet you won't.

2. Duration of payment: Chinese 12years, IDA 38years. which is better? IDA of course. In your personal loan I'm sure you prefer longer duration for easy payment.

NOW THE ARITHMETIC FIGURES.
He calculated a total Interest rate for Chinese loans for 12years as 43.2% (3.6x12).
Then IDA loan for 38years as 47.5% (1.25x38). If FG can payoff Chinese loans in 12 years, nothing stops them from paying off IDA loan in 12 years (NOBODY SAYS YOU CAN'T OFFSET YOUR LOAN EARLIER). Based on his calculation of "total interest rate", IDA loan for 12 years gives 15% (1.25x12). So by his own calculation, given the same duration of payment, IDA is still by far the "BETTER LOAN".
If this is your personal loan, I'm 100% certain you will prefer a loan that gives you CHEAPER INTEREST RATE and LONGER DURATION. (Even the Chinese if they can, would take IDA loan and lend it to Africa @Chinese rate and make some profit for themselves.....this is how banks make money if you know). I don't see how this appears like rocket science because it's on twitter but I understand Nigerians and basic mathematics are enemies.

NB: His calculated figures are FUNDAMENTALLY FAULTY as Yearly Interest is calculated from Balance for each Year and not from initial capital. So his arithmetically calculated total INTEREST RATE is misleading. Total interest rate of what, original capital? Absurd. But I don't want to delve into that for now unless someone asks for it. I'm sure that's why Madam Oby left him alone with his glorified ignorance well exposed on twitter.
i only posted the whole discussion so people would see. i read his comments and i wonder were he schooled her.

Olakunle Abiola somoye finished work on oby ezekwesili BETWEEN WORLD BANK/IMF2 AND CHINA LOAN
THREAD---

OBY E-Most annoying of this latest round of RISING SCALE of Public Debt by countries of the continent is that the politicians are behaving EXACTLY like the ones who PILED UP DEBTS in the 80s & 90s.

Oby-Chinese attitude to Indebtedness is the HARDEST in the world. I know, because one had to deal with it in the course of my work @ the World Bank, helping African countries to get the HIPC Debt Cancellation.

It ANNOYS ME TO NO END to see our countries BINGING on Chinese Loans.

Olukunle -“Just sign up for plenty Loans...forget about imperatives of Debt Sustainability.” KAI!!
1/ I will be the first to admit that we should be wary of China, but who else would have partnered with us on infrastructure development like the Chinese? with interest as low as 2-3% asides technological and knowledge transfer we also have targeted fundings for agric.

Oby-You are referring to their Concessionary Loan/Grant which is paltry compared to the predominant Non-Concessionary Loan Book it has built up across Africa.
We need to put the feet of our leaders to the fire to articulate and execute market reforms like China did & grew. KEY POINT.

Olukunle -Please ma can you kindly furnish us with the interest rate on the Non - Concessionary loan to Nigeria so we can compare with what IMF/WorldBank can offer us.

Oby- Wonderful! I should furnish you?
It is the FG you should ask for its Non-Concessional Loan details with China cos it varies.
What I do know though, is that on average, Chinese loans offer an interest rate of 3.6 percent, a grace period of 4 years & a maturity of 12years. /1
Most of African countries borrow from the World Bank as IDA - International Development Assistance (Concessional Loan) countries at service charge of 0.75 percent, a 0.25 percent front-end fee and 0.25 percent commitment charge. 6 year Grace Period & repayment period of 38years.

Olukunle-/1 I insist Chinese Loans are 2-3% not 3.6% as you said recall 2013 loan for airport terminals. According to you IDA is 1.25% (0.25+0.25+0.75) for a spread of 38 years = 47.5%
Yet IMF’s principal charges/interest alone is 0.84% minus front-end commitment & service charge.
But let’s go by your figures, at 1.25% for a spread of 38 years = 47.5% with brettonwood “Conditionalities” which includes “Retrenchment of civil servants” it’s good enough but for Chinese Loan of 3.6% (your figure) with 12 years maturity total is
3.6% x12= 43.2% contd of/1 ...

Recall on Chinese loan there’re Concessionary and Non Concessionary clauses which doesn’t seek to impose their own “Reformation” but rather ensure - through- Chinese Companies that the purpose of the loan is fulfilled (Train, Bridges & Highways).
Contd 1\...

We joined IMF in 1963 yet asides the mismanagement of the funds given to us by our leaders, Nigeria had to suffer retrenchment of civil servants and foreign exchange between the $ to N started dropping exponentially. The Naira started plummeting after Buhari was ousted in 1985

Oby- I shall not enable this, dear. Too much confusing assumptions in your tweets. The worst of them is you not knowing that there is a difference between Lending by the World Bank - Investment in Development needs & Lending by IMF- Balance of Payment needs. It is enough. Tweet on.

Olukunle- I don’t know as much as you do and I concede that from the get go that is why I still used your figures to do the basic arithmetic to reach a logical conclusion of why Chinese loan may be better than IDAs after all.

OBY - You are wrong on that but hardly matters cos again, that’s not the point of my tweets. You have a set mind on what you wish to tell me and therefore keep engaging in Transactional dialogue. Go back and read my Tweet again & see why yours are unnecessary. Blessings.

Olakunle -Sorry but maybe if you just furnish us with the % on the non concessionary loans from the Chinese perhaps we would see the glaring difference between the 100% concession loans of IDAs.
You know people in the FG, for the sake of learning ask them so you teach your boys here

@MrSomoye #AppreciationTweet on the Chinese loan and IMF loan thread.

My brother, Igbos are blessed uniquely....they lead in Education, well travelled(importing & exporting all around the world), and this is no chest beating bro.

Now to get back to the point. All this global institutional recognized extraordinary woman was trying to educate you fools is to think strategically and to understand aspect of Chinese loans that might not be too pleasant because she has first hand experience. It doesn't come across to me that she is defending the bretten wood institution , but rather comparing attributes between Chinese loans/Western loans. Every African including elites like her in Africa understand, Africa may be entering into her golden age because of China involvement in Africa including how they package their loans in Africa........and yet debt burden that may finally strangle Africa may just be behind the horizon. This is not a good time in Africa to talk tribal politics(especially Igbo/Yoruba) because you've approach a cross road.
leave them oh....they think the chinese would dash you money? maybe when the full details about the conditions attached to these loans by the chinese comes out then we would know who schooled who. these people most times think that when you speak queens english and throw around figures means you are smart and intelligent.

Politics › Re: Stop Disrespecting Buhari, Nigerian Government Warns Media by meccuno: 7:59pm On Sep 06, 2018

weIMPORT:
The Nigerian government on Thursday admonished the media to stop denigrating the person of President Muhammadu Buhari on their platforms.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, gave the admonition when he paid advocacy visit to the Abuja office of the “Peoples Daily’’ newspaper to drum support for national campaign against fake news.

Mr Mohammed, who was reacting to a recent editorial published by a National dailies, said while the press was free to criticise the president and the administration, such criticism must not be to smear the person of the president.

“There was an editorial in an otherwise respected national daily a few days ago that without any scintilla evidence, they denigrated the person of Mr President.

“Make no mistake about this, the media is free to criticise any President but not to denigrate anybody.

“If you have the facts, please come out. How can anybody say Mr President favoured one group than any other?

“The President of a country, irrespective of the party or tribe which he comes from, is the symbol of the country.

“When you denigrate him, you are denigrating yourself. We therefore want to appeal to the media organisations to desist from this.

“Some of them are consumed by hatred and bitterness that they throw cautions to the winds. This is not healthy either for the media or for the country,’’ he said.

The minister stressed that fake news was beyond publishing what was not true.

“When you hide under editorial to pursue agenda which are driven largely by sentiment, emotion, vengeance and bitterness, it does not augur well for the country,’’ he said.

Mr Mohammed said the issue of herdsmen and farmers clash in Nigeria was largely being driven by fake news.

The minister reiterated that the clash had little or nothing to do with ethnicity and religion; rather a fall out of demography, climate change and in some cases, criminality.

He urged the media to be vigorous and circumspect in looking at the issue before arriving at erroneous conclusion.

In defending the position, the minister explained:

“If you remember in 1960 the country population was 45 million today we are 190 million hence the struggle for scarce resources.

“Lake Chad used to occupy 25,000sq km in 1963, today, the same lake has shrunk to 2500 sq km yet 35 million live from Central African Republic, Cameroon, Niger, Nigeria depend on the lake.

“The Lake is the natural source for their fishing, irrigation farming and water supply.

“This is the tension we are seeing. It has nothing to do with religion or ethnicity.

The minister also gave the example of Zamfara State where he said the country had lost more lives to cattle rustling than those killed in Benue, Plateau, Taraba States.

He said both the rustlers and the owners of the cattle in the Zamfara were Fulanis and Muslims.

“How do we input religious and ethnic motives into this? It is the duty of the media to look at this and interrogate it very seriously.

“It is a pity that the purveyors of fake news have not relented. They are perfecting their strategy to de-market this administration and it is so sad that some main stream media have joined in this,’’ he said.

Mr Mohammed also gave the recent fake report that 48 soldiers were killed as a result of Boko Haram insurgent activities.

He said even when the military had denied it vigorously, the media houses, including a respected international media organisation that published the story had not come out with any proof.

“When lives are lost, the military has the obligation to inform the family of the deceased so they cannot cover up.

“We should give respect to the gallant men and women in uniform who are daily sacrificing their lives for us to sleep. When you file this kind of report they are demoralised,’’ he said.

The minister said the rise in the phenomenon of fake news was because it was difficult by naysayers to fault the Buhari’s administration on performance.

“Whether on issues of security, infrastructure, fighting corruption, agriculture or social investment programes, we challenged anybody to a debate.

“We will tell them exactly what we have done,’’ he said.

Mr Mohammed said fake news was a global issue and each country had different approach to combating it including the UK that was contemplating legislating punitive fines on fake social media reports.

He however reiterated the position of the federal government not to coerce or censor but appeal to the sense of responsibility and patriotism of the media.

The Editor-in-Chief of the Peoples Daily, Hameed Bello, thanked the minister for the visit and gave the assurance of the medium to keep fighting against the menace of fake news.
