HOW YOURBA SACKED FULANIS IN OSHOGBO WAR
After the Fulanis systematically captured and made Ilorin their territory, they sacked the old Oyo Empire in 1835/1636. They were still not satisfied with their victory; they wished to extend their rule deep into the heart of Yoruba land. Thus in 1840, they set to capture Osogbo, a Yoruba town. The Fulanis, under the command of Ali, the Hausa balogun of Ilorin, laid siege on Osogbo. When the king of Osogbo realized that the Ilorins were too strong for the Osogbo army, he summoned the Ibadans for help. Ibadan immediately sent some auxiliaries to Osogbo under the command of Obele alias Mobitan, and Alade Abimpagun. As this force could not stop the Ilorins, another contingent was sent to Osogbo under a more experienced leader. But still the Ilorins won every battle and gained more ground.
When Ibadan realized that the Ilorins were becoming more threatening to Yoruba land, they sent a large and stronger force under Balogun Oderinlo to crush the intruding forces and Jammas of Ilorin. When Oderinlo and his men arrived at the battlefield, they realized that things had gone worse than they thought. They could not show their faces in the open field for the fear of the Ilorin horses, and for about 20 days after their arrival at Osogbo, they could not fight outside the town thickets. Oderinlo suggested that Elepo, a brave Ibadan warrior was badly needed at the war-front. Elepo had been rejected by the war-chiefs of Ibadan for his actions at the late Agbamaja expedition. As soon as the message from Oderinlo reached Ibadan, the Bashorun wished he could send Elepo to Osogbo but could not go against the wish of other war-chiefs. The Bashorun gave Elepo a cow to worship his god, Ori, and pray for the victory of Ibadan at the war-front.
At the war-front, the Ibadan could not attack the Ilorins during the day because Osogbo was practically in a plain and the Ilorin horses might have advantage of them with disastrous results. They decided to attack at dusk when the Ilorins would no longer be able to use their horses. About 2:pm, the well prepared Ibadan army left the gate of Osogbo for the battlefield. They were to keep a strict watch and arrest anyone suspected to be a spy. About a mile from the Ilorin camp, they halted and arranged the order of the attack. The Osogbo army and the earlier auxiliaries were to handle the center of the battlefield, chiefs Abitiko and Labuju were to command the right wing, Balogun Oderinlo with the rest of the Ibadan war-chiefs were to form the left wing of the army. The Ilorin camp was then attacked at midnight. The watchword was “Elo ni owo odo?” (How much is the ferry fare?). The reason this watchword was chosen was because the river Osun had to be crossed in entering Osogbo from the south, and anyone who could not tell this was likely to be an enemy.
Stampede engulfed the Ilorin camp as the Ibadan army set it on fire. The Ilorins could not offer the slightest resistance; they were smoked with the gunpowder of the Ibadan guns. This attack was a success for the Ibadan. Some Ilorin war-chiefs were captured in the attack. Prominent ones were:
Jimba the head slave of the Emir;
One of the sons of Ali the commander in chief;
Chief Lateju;
Ajikobo the Yoruba Balogun of Ilorin. [/s] |

*Cattle colony is not a new thing in Nigeria* . It has existed long before independence and it is called *Zango* (a word in Hausa that means
colony).
Zango has existed in many areas of Yoruba land. Till today, there is *Sango Otta* , the home country of our former president (Obasanjo). Know
this, *Sango* is a corruption of the word *Zango* .
There is *Zangon Kataf in Zonkwa* , Kaduna State.
*When the Fulani's came there, they did not tell the natives that they were coming to settle. They just asked for a small land by the market as

The Fulani's soon gained entrance into Kafanchan town and before long, they turbanned one of themselves and addressed him, *Emir of

During the military government, the Southern Kaduna people got a local government with the name, *Jemaa Local Government.* Later,

The emir of Jemaa got a first class stool and the entire Southern Kaduna became tribute paying enclave of the Zazzau emirate. *The cunning
jihad became a success. The Southern Kaduna people were banned from buying or selling commodities in Zangon Kataf local government save
for what the Fulani's permitted.*
In the process, burukutu and pork meat were outlawed. The protest to regain the market from the Fulani became the greatest Zangon Kataf
crises that consumed many southern Kaduna lives leading to the arrest and unlawful imprisonment of the most prominent Kataf son, *General
Zamani Lekwot and many other Christian leaders.*
The people of Ilorin cannot tell their story as Kwara State without their Fulani Emir (in a Yoruba speaking state). So is the Emir of Muri in
Jalingo who was deposed leading to the _forceful and untimely retirement_ as well as _removal from office_ of governor of *Col. Yohanna
Madaki.*
The Fulanis have a history of claiming wherever they had Zango (Colony) as their own territory and from there begin expansion by bringing
more Fulanis from Niger, Chad and Senegal.
The sole aim is to drive away all other tribes from Nigeria or waste their lives and take over the land.
When NTA broadcasted for several weeks that one *Alhaji Maikudi founded Makurdi,* they are most probably talking of a Zango (colony)
located by River Benue.
Anywhere they stayed, the first Fulani to enter the town is the founder of that Zango (colony), and wherever they had Zango (colony), they will
host a Fodio flag for occupation. ( *those little flags you see hanging around their settlements that look like the Nigerian flags we use to tie

1. Recognise the six geopolitical zones as federating units and order INEC to conduct elections to elect their governors. I will name the SE zone as Biafra state, SW as Odu'a state, SS as Niger Delta state, NC as Middle Belt state, NW as Arewa state, NE as Kanuri state.
2. The current 36 states will become metropolitan areas and the current 36 governors will become Mayors. I will scrap entirely the current 774 LGA arrangment. The current LGA chairmen will go to the new six state assemblies as legislators. The councilors will be dissmissed.
3. Return Ilorin and Kabba to Odu'a state. Asaba, and other Igboid part of SS will be conceeded to Biafra (to quell unnessesary agitation). Ijaw part of Ondo will return to Niger Delta state. The fulani part of Kwara and Niger goes to Arewa state. The Christian part of Taraba goes to Middle Belt state.
4. Oil found in any land within Nigeria will belong 50% to the host community/metro. The offshore oil belongs to us all! Therefore the current sharing formula will continue. The 36 Metros will still get what they are currently getting from offshore oil, while the new six states will now get what the LGA where getting before. So a state will get only the amount that would have accrued to the LGA it had before.
5. Some NPF police officers will be transfered to state service as state police. Same will be with some prison wardens. Many of items on exclusive list (such as energy and power generation) will be moved to concurrent list to allow states participate. Only defence, foreign affairs and currency operations will be exclusive. Because of this, the oil revenue share retained by the FG will decrease to give more to the 6 states and 36 metros.
6. Increase the number of senators to 115. The extra 6 will be one first class king from each of the 6 states. Such as the sultan, ooni, obi, oba of benin etc. The new 6 states will have houses of chiefs to be made up of the remaining top monarchs in the zone. Any monarch not included will be considered irrelevant and derobed.
By this, agitations will reduce grossly to give government at each level chance to do its job. Also the unaccounted waste by the current 774 LGAs will stop. The FG by this arrangement sheds power, but not enough to make it irrelevant. By this also Biafra would have been given to my people, Niger Delta would have been given to SS and Odu'a would have been given to SW. off shore belongs to us all? funny dude. turning logic on its head. if you didnt have a country with people around that area would you even dream of owning anything whether on or off shore? |

Not only does this verse establish that violence can be virtuous, but it also contradicts the myth that fighting is intended only in self-defense, since the audience was obviously not under attack at the time. From the Hadith, we know that this verse was narrated at a time that Muhammad was actually trying to motivate his people into raiding merchant caravans for loot. Quran (3:151) - "Soon shall We cast terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers, for that they joined companions with Allah, for which He had sent no authority". This speaks directly of polytheists, yet it also includes Christians, since they believe in the Trinity (ie. what Muhammad incorrectly believed to be 'joining companions to Allah'). Quran (4:89) - "They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and thus be on the same footing (as they): But take not friends from their ranks until they flee in the way of Allah (From what is forbidden). But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them; and (in any case) take no friends or helpers from their ranks. Quran (5:33) - "The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned; this shall be as a disgrace for them in this world, and in the hereafter they shall have a grievous chastisement" Quran (8:39) - "And fight with them until there is no more fitna (disorder, unbelief) and religion is all for Allah" Quran (8:67) - "It is not for a Prophet that he should have prisoners of war until he had made a great slaughter in the land..." |
