Politics › Re: "Stella Oduah's Fraud At Enugu Airport" by meccuno: 12:28am On Mar 27, 2016
Ariani:
Awusa and Odua rulers had like 34years to fix Enugu Airport, but they didn't, why do they now pretend to care about the Airport? What the hell is going on here?

Stella and GEJ did more for Enugu international airport in 6years than Awusa and Yoruba rulers did in 35years, this fact is not lost on us.

Stella stole money budgeted for Enugu Airport? Well, without her, nothing would have been budgeted for that airport, everything would as usual be diverted to Lagos, this is why no sensible Igbo would give a thought to this Stella's alleged under use of funds meant to build Enugu Airport.

Now that she is not there, let's see Arewa and Odua people do better for the airport, until then, this Stella story won't sell to the average Igboman.

Now you know why the country is messed up and is set to benefit the stealing elites from all ethnic groups, and why Igbo elites will continue singing "one Nigeria".

Aspects of Sharia Law that concern Christians:

Jihad: Jihad is holy war against the infidels of the world. All Muslims are obliged to kill the infidel. An infidel (or kafir) is a non-Muslim. Many Muslims think that killing an infidel guarantees going straight to paradise.

Apostasy: All apostates are to be killed. An apostate is any person who renounces Islam and changes his religion. Christians are not allowed to convert Muslims to Christianity. Conversion is perceived as blasphemy and carries the death penalty. Distributing Christian literature can result in a five-year prison sentence under Sharia Law.

Criticism of Islam: The death penalty applies to Muslims who criticize Muhammad, the Qur’an or Sharia Law. Severe penalties also apply to Christians who speak out against Islam.

Freedom of Worship: Although Islam pays lip service to “people of the book” (other Abrahamic religions), and the Qur’an says to respect and honor all people irrespective of their religion, the reality is that some Islamic countries are persecuting Christians, targeting their places of worship, and killing and imprisoning believers. Persecution is intense in Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, Yemen, Maldives, and other countries with a strong Islamic influence.

Female victims of rape: Sharia Law protects rapists. A woman making an accusation of rape has to provide four male witnesses. If she is unable to do so, she will be charged with zina, for which the prescribed punishment is flogging or stoning. Thousands of women are imprisoned as a result of unsuccessful charges of rape. Some are even stoned to death. On October 27, 2008, Aisha, a 13-year-old girl in Kisayu, Somalia, was stoned to death for adultery; later, her aunt told the British Broadcasting Corporation that Aisha had been raped by three armed men. Rapists are seldom brought to trial, let alone punished.

Miscellaneous crimes: Fornication and adultery: Unmarried fornicators are to be whipped, and adulterers are to be stoned to death. Homosexuality: Homosexuals must be executed. Theft: Any person found stealing is to have a hand cut off. Battery and assault: An injured plaintiff can extract legal revenge; lex talionis (“an eye for an eye”) is in effect.

Politics › Re: Presidency 2019: There Is Vacancy In Aso Rock by meccuno: 9:56pm On Mar 24, 2016
TonyeBarcanista:
I read the communiqué of the APC National caucus in laughter where they declared there support for a second term in office for President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo. In the said communiqué, the APC declared the non-vacancy of Aso Rock, the seat of power in 2019, insinuating that President Buhari's mandate would be renewed for another four years.

Sometimes I wonder whether the men in power and their associates are living in a different world from the rest of the country. I wonder whether the APC is yet to get the message of Nigerians that they are tired of the pains that the ruling party has been making them go through since assuming power in May 29, 2015. In fact, I will be very direct in this subject.

Where does the APC think they can win in any part of Nigeria? Is it the North Central that the government watch while their people are being killed and made to bury communities due to the menace of marauding terrorists masquerading as Fulani herdsmen that the APC expected to get votes from? Is the President and APC expecting to get votes from the talakawas and the majority people of North West after dashing their hopes of getting unemployment benefit? Do they expect to get votes from the people of Kaduna state and Zaria after the massacre of their shittes brothers by the army?

Do they expect to get the votes of the South West after doing nothing while some herdsmen terrorists kill them in their own ancestral land? Are they expecting the votes of the people of Lagos after the Mile 12 incident or those of the people of Ondo state after the kidnap of Falae? Are they expecting the votes of the good people of Osun state after disgracing them through the governor? Is the APC expecting the votes of the South East after openly marginalising them with the infamous 5% or the South South?

Is the APC expecting the votes of the poor masses despite punishing them with fuel scarcity and high cost of commodities? Are they expecting the votes of the poor middle class that have their wards schooling abroad but unable to pay their fees due to non availability of the dollar? Will they ever forgive the president mocking them that they should withdraw their wards if they can cope?

Will men of patriotic zeal vote the same government that not only justified the nepotistic employment exercise by the CBN but are unwilling to reverse it? Are they expecting the votes of the intellectuals after openly disregarding court verdicts? Who will return Mr President to office in 2019 even from among his family members?

By 2019 the government will understand the verdict of the masses when they send them to permanent retirement and bring them to face justice for their crimes while in power.

Though 2019 is a whole three years away, it is instructive to inform the President and his party that they should not bother campaigning when the time comes because it will amount to waste of time, energy and resources.

Finally, there is vacancy in Aso Rock, her new tenant shall move in on May 29, 2019 along with the Umbrella.

May God Bless Us All and Bless Nigeria
The SW and The North Would Still vote for him. After all they voted based on tribal and religious sentiments in the last elections.

After they refused to sell arms to us,they are surprised that we can look inwards and help ourselves.

Anyway the west will soon go extinct as their population keep decreasing.
Just that we must not repeat the mistake of saving Europe from itself as we helped her fight her wars especially in 1914 and in helping them to conquer ourselves.
This time,Europe must be allowed to rest in peace.

nifemigold:
Although Nigeria had gained independence from Britain on October 1st, 1960, the freedom was only partial as it remained a commonwealth realm under the constitutional monarchy of the Queen of England.

It was not until 1963 when the Declaration of Independence was signed that Nigeria became 'totally independent'. However, Total Independence as a political and economic reality is a topic that would remain debatable in social discourse over five decades after.

The debate is not only limited to how politically and economically vibrant we have become since the first republic, but whether the Federal Republic of Nigeria is truly a nation or what some have loosely coined  'confederation of nations'.

According to the first Premier of Western Region, Chief Obafemi Awolowo in his book, 'Path to Nigeria's Freedom' published in 1947, he stated that "Nigeria is not a nation; it is a mere geographical expression".

" There are no ‘Nigerians’ in the same sense as there are ‘English,’ ‘Welsh,’ or ‘French’, the word ‘Nigeria’ is a mere distinctive appellation to distinguish those who live within the boundaries of Nigeria and those who do not". Obafemi Awolowo 1947

Although he later played a major role in preserving the federation, his position of Nigeria as 'no nation' still echoes through the continued ethnic conflicts and renewed agitation for secession in parts of the country today.

In case you are in doubt about what a nation is, Oxford dictionary defines it as a large body of people united by common descent, history, culture, or language, inhabiting a particular state or territory.

Is Nigeria really a nation?
To be continued.

chesterlee:
Buhari met with the Queen of England in London. He asked her:

Buhari: How do u run such an efficient government here? Are there any tips u can give to me? I want to help Nigeria.
Queen: The most important thing is to surround yourself with intelligent people.
Buhari: How do I know the people around me are really intelligent?
Queen: Oh,that's easy. Just ask them to answer an intelligent riddle.

The Queen sent for David Cameron. David Cameron walked into the room.

Cameron:Yes, ur majesty u sent for me.
Queen:Answer this riddle.David,ur mother and father have a child,it is not ur brother and it is not ur sister. Who is it?
Cameron: Hmmm...that would be me.
Queen:Yes,very good.

When Buhari came back home he sent for Osibanjo.
Osibanjo walked into Buhari's office:
Osibanjo:Sir, u called me
Buhari:Yes,sit down and answer this riddle, your mother and father have a child,it's not ur brother and it's not ur sister, who is it?
Osibanjo: I'm not sure, let me get back to u.He asked all his staff in the office none could give him an answer, he ran to Fashola and asked:
Osibanjo:Ur mother and father have a child,it's not ur brother and it's not ur sister. Who is it?
Fashola:that's easy.It's me!

Osibanjo smiled & said, thanks. Then he went back to
speak with President Buhari:
Osibanjo:Sir I have the answer to the riddle,it's
Babatunde Raji Fashola! Buhari got angry and said to
Osibanjo:
Buhari: No wonder Nigeria is not moving forward,I'm surrounded by dummies! The answer is David Cameron.

Looools grin grin
