Iriruaga100: I saw this thread yesterday nd its still trending here. Oreva should go read what transpired b/t ojukwu nd boro during the civil war. Let me state it clearly, that our people nd other miniority tribe dnt believe in biafra. In fact, what will be the gain of the miniority tribe in biafra? Its a pertinent question that boro asked of but ojukwu gave a silly answer. If the igbo man in nnewi, nnsuka, owerri nd enugu still discriminate against the man in agbor, ogwashukwu, asaba nd ikwere. Then i see us the miniority tribes as slave in biafra, if we decide join them. The name biafra should be changed to niger delta republic or something different nd with no attachment to igbo culture or the civil war. If what i said above is done, that is when we will trust the igbos. Republic Of Biafra And Niger Delta...........Lolz |

The Truth is whether we decide to fight it now or later,it would surely happen one day.....who ever thought that the issue of gay would even be openly discussed in the world today? Sagging of jeans came, people protested but its now main stay......the issue of a man braiding his hair plus wearing ear rings.....was protested, but now accepted......the problem is managing the whole issue.....and with most of our senators and leaders who lack basic critical thinking, how do we win this war against a country who is hell bent on foisting their way of life on us.....most of us who come here to shout and wail are the same people who have very short fuse when the friction and problem starts.......Nigeria is a morally bankrupt nation to start with.....we have extremely dull leaders in the helm of affairs.....still watching to Know exactly what The USA is up to.........but whether we like it or not....its just a matter of time....after all we have high cases of rape and grown men sleeping with 10 year old without shame.....so we shouldn't even form holier than thou.....I pray our leaders would be tactful about this issue and play this politics well..........cause it might be a booby trap to something bigger...... |

Politics › Re: Nigeria Broadcasting Commission Finally Bans Radio Biafra by meccuno: 8:00pm On Jul 14, 2015 |
olillywales: The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information, Dr. Sade Yemi-Esan, on Tuesday said the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation has succeeded in stopping the signal of Radio Biafra because it was not licensed.
Yemi-Esan disclosed this to State House correspondents shortly after briefing President Muhammadu Buhari of her ministry’s activities inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
She said the commission was currently working with security agencies to apprehend those behind the illegal radio.
She said, “We also gave a report on Radio Biafra. Right now, the signals from the radio have been jammed successfully by the NBC. The commission is also working with security agencies to get those that are behind that radio because it is an illegal radio. It is not licensed by anybody to be on the airwaves in Nigeria.”
She added that the President had directed her ministry to put machinery in place to end the scourge of piracy in the nation’s movie industry.
She said the President gave a clear directive that the ministry must work hard to ensure that film producers get what is due to them. “The President raised concerns about piracy in Nollywood and he has instructed us to work harder to ensure that the producers of Nollywood films get what is due to them and that we reduce piracy to the barest minimum,” she said.
She added that the President frowned at some media houses that are in the habit of owing salaries.
She said Buhari saw the development as not too good for the country.
She said, “I think it was last week that one of the newspapers was shut down because of non-payment of salaries. I think that should not be heard of in a country like Nigeria.
“Mr. President frowns on things like that, the welfare of every Nigerian, especially journalists is one of the major concerns that we have.”
The Permanent Secretary said the President wanted the ministry to intensify publicity because of his desire that every Nigerian should know about policies and programmes of his government.
She said they also talked about external publicity and the possibility of re-opening the federal information services abroad.

Why are all the Known Generals From The North.....95% of heads of Govt Parastatals Like Customs,From The North? I Don't Get......is It That They Are The Only People Fit To Heads or what? I was checking States GDP and Resources And decided to Check Katsina State....lo and Behold All the prominent people are either Generals of the army or heads of Govt agencies....you hardly see anyone who succeeds without government related activities or government positions......Nigeria will never move forward with structures like these.....let there be competition among states and discard that useless land use decree.....Nigeria as it is. Has been structured on corruption.......we blame GEJ for the problems we face forgetting that its a collective problem from the NASS to the State and local government......tell me why each president that comes in would prefer to appoint people from their region......its unacceptable and appalling.....the best bet is returning to both regional government and fiscal federalism......then if a cow becomes president I won't care less.......let's put our destiny in our hands........if buhari can appoint people from the North then it goes to show the mentality of we Nigerians....no love,no trust, ethnic and tribal differences..........then why are we a nation? |
Politics › Re: Gej's Ambition Destroyed Traditional Institutions - NSCIA by meccuno: 11:10am On Jul 14, 2015 |
PassingShot: Nigeria has never been this divided along the fault lines of religion and tribe. Jonathan, in his desperation to cling on to power by all means necessary played the ethnic and religion cards the ways never seen before in the history of Nigeria.
Unfortunately for him and his fellow bigots; and fortunately for Nigeria, he got served very badly hence he lost the election.
To put things in perspective, MKO Abiola cleared elections in the North against a Bashir Tofa. OBJ won massively in the same north against GMB even though he was "rejected" in his own SW then. But as soon as Nigerians saw through Jona's clandestine motives, the people he played the religion and ethnic cards with served him the hot dish.
Let's hope the SS/SE people have learnt a lesson with GEJ's miscalculation. the only time Nigeria wasn't divided was when the North and the Southwest held key positions in the Government.......am really sorry for those who take these information from people like you hook line and sinker...... |
