he made an assist yesterday and more of such displays are what we want to see |
nah, i dont. Even Owumi wont know that. Part of the new rules is that after investigation, any club found guilty of violent conduct will be fined N5m. In addition to that, 3 points will be deducted and the team will also be banished |
Maurice Cooreman thinks Siasia is not qualified to be Super eagles coach. In an interview published on Saturday's Complete Sports, Cooreman said Siasia led the Flying eagles to second place finishes in Holland 05 WYC and Beijing Olympics but didnt win the ultimate prize. He also said Siasia was sacked when he took charge of JUTH FC of Jos and Ocean Boys. He said Heartland only has 1 point from 9 in the champions league since Sia1 took charge. He said he would have loved to coach the SE and he has applied on several occasions but he has not been invited for interview let alone given the job. He said the problem of the SE is that the players are not fully committed and that the best players in the league are not invited to play for the SE |
dont even know what is going on anymore. Are they implicitly saying that the state FA elections will hold before Thursday? |
LOLZ. But not everyone gets breakfast in the mornings ![]() |
Back when they tought pink polos will hurt the Roc before Cam got the shiitt to pop the doors was closed i felt like Bad Boy street team-i couldnt work The Lox(the locks) Kanye West- Touch the sky |
The last time we lost at the Nou Camp was actually to Sevilla, 2-1 in the Copa Del Rey. Pound of flesh, how many times have we had that now? |
Super Copa Italia. 3-1 to Inter. That makes it a quadruple of trophies. Pandev and Eto'o brace. Riise for Roma. Let's see if you can emulate Barca and do the sextuple. Congrats! |
^^^^ not so sure but they should most likely do |
dream start for Osaze. I'm happy for him. didnt see the game though. I hope he sustains the momentum |
How Owumi performs is very significant because it will prove if ex-footballers make good administrators. The clubs have started adhering. Gombe united and Kwara united have started putting in major work in refurbishing their stadia |
wow vintage performance from Bolton and Elmander in particular. If he can sustain this momemtum, i see no reason why Bolton can be in Europe come May |
SAF had the guts to accuse Mancini of 'kamikaze' signings when he shelled out €7m on a Bebe that he hadnt seen |

All these EPL fans will just come and be making noise. In 2000, champions league final was between Madrid vs Valencia. La Liga had three teams in the semi final. Valencia played in two champions league final back to back. Sevilla won two UEFA Cups back to back, spanking Middlesbrough(an EPL) team 4-0 in one of the finals. Everton(fourth in 2005) could not qualify for Champions league. They lost to Villareal(La Liga) 2-1, that later made it to the semi finals on their debut. Aston Villa(6th in 2009) could not qualify for Europa league. They lost to Rapid Vienna. Tottenham(4th in 2010) lost and are trailing on aggregate to unheralded Young Boys. EPL no be league abeg |
Sevilla is going down tommorow! We are simply imperious and impregnable at Camp Nou |
Folem, what is right about extending the tenures of state FA chairmen? When FIFA extended Iraq's FA tenure, it was for a reason. It was because their elections was postponed and FIFA has warned that if their elections are postponed again, they would face a ban. FIFA extended their tenure so they could go back and put their house in order. What was the reason given for extending the state FA chairmen tenure if not for the sole reason of re-electing the ousted Lulu and his cohorts |
The race to sign league record goal scorer, Eugene Salami, is getting hot as the Tornadoes striker is currently wanted by Heartland, Sharks, Sunshine, Kwara Utd and Kano Pillars. "All the clubs have discussed with me. But there are factors that I will consider before I make my decision. But it is a good thing that these clubs are seriously looking for me. It shows they recognised my effort last season when I equalled the record of Ishaya Jatau and Akarandut Orok. I will soon join one of these clubs and take my football career to another level" Salami said. |
FIFA WANT BARIBOTE'S COMPLAINTS TACKLED The World football governing body, FIFA, have asked the Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) to follow-up on the complaints raised by the Bayelsa United Chairman, Rumson Baribote, over the recent elections to the Nigeria Premier League(NPL). An arbitratation panel set up by the NFF decided that NPL Chairman, Davidson Owumi, is not eligible to contest the positioo of chairman of chairmen and as such fresh elections should be held in this respect. The NFF are yet to act on this ruling by the arbitration panel, and this has forced Baribote to take the matter to FIFA. In a reply to Baribote's petition through a letter dated August 15, and signed by deputy secretary-general, Markus Kattner, FIFA, while acknowledging the case as an internal one, asked the NFF to address the questions raised by the Bayelsa boss. The letter was also copied to the Confederation of African Football(CAF). A delighted Baribote said: "I have always played by the rules and I strongly believe that with FIFA, I will get justice. "This fight is not driven by selfish desires, but I stand for the betterment of the game in Nigeria." http://www.mtnfootball.com/live/content.php?item_id=32296 |
Dis Guy:no reason was given. I think the man did very well. SS used to be a mid table side but he took them to a 3rd place finish thereby qualifying them for the Confed. Cup and also a semi final place in the FA cup, they finished third or fourth |
Sunshine Stars have sacked its coach, Solomon Ogbeide. He has since been replaced with his assistant, Gbenga Ogunbote. Sunshine Stars finished third and will be playing in the CAF Confederations Cup next season |
If the elections had held, it would have been the height of illegality. The State FA's tenure in office have since expired and they were the ones supposed to vote people in. I dont mind us sacrificing a year if it will secure the years ahead |
proudly9ja:Obaseki was formerly Insurance's chairman until he contested and won the chairmanship of the NPL. You cant contest NPL chairmanship without being a club chairman. Obaseki's record as NPL chairman speaks for itself. NPL was worth between 50-60 million naira before he came in and he transformed it to a brand worth almost a billion naira(900 million). It was also under his tenure that NPL was rated as the best league in Africa. He also brought Super Sports. IMO, Odegbami is an ex-footballer and thats where it ends. What has he done since he stopped playing? The academy he set up, i dont think its still existing. Anyways, i heard the elections have been postponed, i dont know how true |
Nice one. Balotelli scores on his debut |
Torres was a major doubt for the world cup. He only made the team because he scored against Poland in one of the warm up matches and they felt maybe he could shrug off his injury. He didnt start the first game against Switzerland, he came on as a 2nd half sub for David Silva. In the 2nd game against Honduras, he was substituted early in the 2nd half for Mata. He didnt play full 90 mins in any of the matches. He was playing badly and obviously unfit and his drop from the starting XI; even though he didnt the first game, was imminent and it eventually came in the semi-final. One would have expected Morientes to do well at Liverpool since he has a better NT record than Torres. Morientes; 29 at the time, scored 12 goals in 65 appearances in the same Liverpool where Torres has setting and resetting records. |
