sinkhole: I think I have to give it to GMB! Whenever GEJ speaks, u just have to wonder if somebody is somewhere telling him what to and not to say, he never look composed always looking shaky as if he is afraid of something or somebody. Whenever GMB speaks, he speaks so confidently, he does not rush to answer questions but whenever he answers it is always with absolute confidence! Talking about there accent, I thnk I prefer GMB's! GEJ's accent s so thick that BBC had to transcribe his words on the screen If GEJ pronounces "the", it will be "di", just like a typical Yoruba person will do (I am a Yoruba person ), but GMB will pronouce it as "ze" and this is closer to the real pronounciation. Have you really seen GMB answer a direct question thrown at him? |

nollywood is out of GMBs plan if elected,he clearly does not have any idea of how to make a very large industry as fashion, movies, theatre profit our economy, unlike GEJ that granted them grant.
He keeps talking about power, corruption and insecurity as the solution for everything, without further clarification and inputs. Fashola had to help him out on way he intends to help the movie industry. |

Buhari commands everybody's attention that's why the accent will annoy you because you're really interested in what he has to say. okay, though i have a way of understanding him even with is accents |

Politics › Considering The Acts Of Public Speaking; Between GMB & GEJ Who Is Better? by Medley(op): 4:11pm On Mar 18, 2015*. Modified: 11:39pm On Mar 19, 2015 |
Public speaking can be used for almost anything. Most great speakers have a natural ability to display the skills and effectiveness that can help to engage and move an audience for whatever purpose.
The speeches of politicians are often widely analyzed by both their supporters and detractors.
on this thread,we will consider the following criteria to adjudge between GEJ & GMB,who stands out & rate them in percentage, according to the following criteria
1. Use of language & rhetorics 2. Ability to transmit information 3. Effectual message communication. 4. Motivate audience 5. Ability to keep audience interested. 6. Ability to change the emotion of their listeners 7. Infuence on audience 8. Audience response 9. Body language 10. Engage audience
I trust us to quickly asserts that public speaking is not what determines good governance and performance, that's not the case,we know that. We should also note that in saner climes and other developed nations, you don't stand a chance of winning any political position if you can't speak and motivate your audience.
In my own opinion,if i am to rate GMB and GEJ,it will be 52% and 59% respectively.
GMB: most of the time when reading from paper, takes too much time with his face affixed to the paper instead of the audience, and the way he reads out is always hard to follow through, people in rendering a clap to a point by him,do so intermittiently as if they are hearing him from differrent rooms.
GEJ: also affixes his face to his material, but a little better when compared with GMB, but when he is to speak without a written material, finds it difficult to produce coherent statement overtime and lots of hmmms at each juncture.
thats my opinion, it's from my angle, and I did not judge base on accents, because accents does not deter good public speaking.
What's your rating(in percentage) and what's your reason(s)?
I know we don't have the obamas here, but soon we need to make our leaders go through trainings on the ACTs,we don't have the likes of donald duke in our politicians of now,but this attribute should be demanded from our leaders |

The picture that is being painted here is that Jonathan is the only politician that gives out money. APC is truly the party that have all supporters who don't need money before endorsing or supporting.
With sahara reporters,we can be assured of constant feeding of one week, one lie.
Let APC tell the whole Nigeria that they have not giving money to ensure their support. This is an epidemic in Nigeria, and its general. |

Politics › Re: Kwakwanso Plots Single Term For Buhari by Medley(m): 11:51pm On Mar 16, 2015 |
kristonium: B-R-E-A-K-I-N-G KWAKWANSO PLOTS SINGLE TERM FOR BUHARI. DEMANDS AGREEMENT FROM Osinbajo AND TINUBU. Yesterday's private meeting between leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kano state governor ended without agreement as both parties could not reach a common ground on the Buhari single term issue. General Buhari has indicated to his close supporters that he may not be able to carry on the mantle of government for 8 years if elected as president in 2015 due to his failing health. He has agreed in principle to do just one term in the event of his emergence as president. Governor Kwakwanso, a clear favourite to emerge as the next in line for the 2019 elections is already positioning himself for the future. First, the Kwakwanso group does not want a repeat of the Yaradua/Jonathan drama, where the Vice President deploys the leverage of office if the president becomes incapacitated or dies in office. That would mean an automatic stop for Kwakwansiya 2019. Kwakwanso wants an agreement reached between the Northern caucus of the APC and the South-West caucus which will clearly outline that erudite lawyer and running mate Prof. Yemi Osinbajo will not seek to become president in 2019, in the circumstance that (God forbid) Gen. Buhari resigns, is incapacitated, or dies in office. The agreement will also hold that the Buhari/Osinbajo ticket ends completely in 2019 regardless of which of them is president by that time. Kwakwanso is also demanding that in the event that Prof. Yemi Osinbajo resigns from office, the party national working committee would determine who replaces him from the South West geopolitical zone. Rising Tide has gathered that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has refused to be part of such an agreement. He insists that such a decision should only be discussed and adopted by the national working committee of the APC. He pleaded with Governor Kwakwanso to continue to give his best to the party, and stressed the strategic importance of Kano in the coming elections. It remains unclear what the next step of Gov. Kwakwanso will be, but it is becoming increasingly obvious that all is not well in the Kwakwansiya family with the defection of a serving member of the Federal House of Representatives and a Special Adviser to the governor. Kwakwanso was the first runner up in the last APC presidential primaries. Rising Tide. 16.03.2015 how can we get your source? |

What i am aware of is that the major moves that can mar or make a party and its chances of being organised to win election are done close to election day.
We are even yet to see the game changing moves, remember it was in the last minute Tinubu made a deal for a candidate to step down in a previous election.
OP,what kind of source is this? |

Publicly alleging plot to Assassinate buhari at this time is funny, and this is propaganda taken to a very destructive height that can further put Nigeria in chaos. The govt. Knows he will be top on the suspect list if such happen and this might lead to violent rising. Why is it that every member of the APC as a party that have a say are about to be assassinated. Just like the case of the interim govt. Arrangement with Tinubu;we hear that there is evidence, lets get this evidences and this will only help corroborates voting out PDP if there is,enough of this costly propaganda.we are yet to know the 7 PDP governors that are switching to APC |
