For the kicks, if it's your first pregnancy it will take a longer while. But be patient you will soon feel it.

I am good cappo just that I find it very difficult to sleep on my left side because i am always having serious pains laying on my left side. Hope using my right side to sleep will not affect baby? I don't kw if it is because of the okada accident that I had then that is making me uncomfortable using my left side to sleep.
I am yet to feel baby kick.
I thank God for being us dis far and I kw that he will see us all to the end in Jesus name, Amen.

It's nothing to be worried about ma. I did mine at 14 weeks, just had spinal anaesthesia and the procedure was over in 15-20 mins.

So far the pregnancy is going smoothly, sometimes I forget a cerclage is there.

I was just advised to rest, I'm not on bed rest and to avoid sex for a while.

Mine was in a govt hospital for 35k.

Please those who have had cervical cerclage done before, I'ld like to know the stage in your pregnancy you had it done, what the whole procedure was, hospital charges and how well the pregnancy advanced?

I have been scheduled for a cerclage tomorrow and am worried about the procedure.

I just remembered I haven't taken first dose of TT Injection. My next appointment is at 21 weeks.

This is a new week, hope we are all taking our prenatal drugs, fruits and attending Antenatal regularly(I know some of us no dey go, oya start attending biko,it is important). If you have checked ur Lo sex, please indicate so I can update. I tried checking my Los sex today, The baby just sat with bum and even cross leg join but am hoping for a boy sha. You can check your Los sex from 16weeks i guess but it will be better if u wait till 20 weeks to also do anomaly scan.

Pls what can I do to stop it?

There is nothing to fear about it dear. This is my second cerclage, have a two years baby girl for the first, then this, so far no issues. You will be given spinal Anaesthetic, the procedure is bearable and you should be discharged the next day as soon as the anaesthetic wears away. dont be scared sis. It is well.

Hello mama. Let me share the little I know and I've experienced. I did mine on 28th Sept at 18weeks, its a short procedure let's say like 30mins to 50mins and you are done. I was under general anaesthesia for the procedure and discharged same day I did it, im 23. 3 days today and doing fine. congratulations in advance cos u will carry your baby to term, I hope I answered your question well.

Thank you Ma. You have answered well. I am just scared of this spinal anaesthesia. God ll see us through. I was told to come in to d hospital a day to d procedure.

So sorry for the loss Ma. That's exactly what happened to me at 5 months. I ll also give u information after I have done mine.

I went to hospital this morning (not started antenatal) to see Dr and ran some tests. He said I had malaria 1+. I was given chloroquine, piriton & paracetamol for 3 days. asked him about its safety for mum n baby and he said it's fine that malaria can't be left untreated.

Malaria isn't good in pregnancy but I don't think 1+ is soo bad. I had a similar case in my first but didn't take d drug till second trimester. A regular Dr prescribed the drug (can't remember the name) but when I met a gynaecologist I was told not to take it that d malaria wasnt much.

And I don't know how safe paracetamol is in first trimester. I would advise you register n see a gynaecologist if it was a regular Dr you met and try to rest a lot.

Other Mama's can correct or add some things

You can soak garri in water without sugar or anything & drink like that or eat bread alone, kpele dear. Other mamas will help u put mouth @ meeeeey

How are the twins doing?

Pls Mamas i have been having running stomach since I took in. Like 3 days in a week. It starts with excruciating pain in the navel before I use the loo.

My Dr did stool analysis n there isn't an issue. I was advised to stop eating some foods which I have stopped and it's still there.

I was told I can take Leporamide to stop it but I'm scared of taking drugs as I'm still in first trimester 9 wks +

Please any advice how I can stop this as I was informed frequent use of toilet can cause contraction.

Please mamas I need ur advice.

I had similar pain two days ago, I layed down on my left and it left after some hours. I met my Gynae and she advised I drink lots of water if I notice it again n give her a call.

You can try seeing your Dr if it's persist. Sorry about the pain
