Christianity EtcMeet Prophet Udensi Godlove Behind Audio Warning Nigerians Against Disaster by Meekdon(op): 2:38pm On Jun 29, 2018
DAILY POST unmasked the prophet behind the viral audio message, which warned Nigerians to pray against disasters in some certain days.
Prophet Udensi Godlove of Land of Oil Prophetic Ministry (AKA Hill of the Lord), Lagos is the face behind the voice, DAILY POST can authoritatively report.

In the audio, which went viral few weeks back, the fiery preacher specifically warned his congregation, nay, Nigerians to pray and avoid traveling out of Lagos on some certain days.

He said, “I saw a lot of dead people and over flow of blood, please let’s be careful.

“June 23, June 28, July 11, July 24, July 30 and August 1, these days have been marked for evil and disasters.
“Do not travel out of Lagos using any of these transportation companies on these dates.

“Okeyson, Benue Links, Agofure, Young Shall Grow, Air Peace, God is Good, Abia Links, Efosa, GUO.

“On July 22, August 5 and 19, no one should travel out of the state using plane, you can travel with them any other day but on these dates, avoid them, they have been marked for blood,” he had said during one of his services few some weeks back.

Barely one week after his prophecy, over 200 persons were brutally butchered by suspected Fulani
herdsmen in Plateau State on June 23, one of the days he mentioned in his message.

Just on Thursday, June 28 (another day he mentioned) nine persons were roasted to death and more than 54 vehicles burnt to ashes after a fuel-laden tanker fell on Otedola Bridge along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway and went up in flame, trapping motorists and passengers.

The message was erroneously attributed to Apostle Johnson Suleman of Omega Fire Ministry.pastor3
However, our reporter obtaned the video version of the message where Prophet Udensi warned his members on some impending disasters in Nigeria and how to avert them.

The man of God, whose Church is located on 103 Iju Road beside Ifako Int’l School College Bus Stop, Agege, Lagos, in the video specifically called on Nigerians to be careful and as well be prayerful as the devil as a roaring lion was seeking for those to devour.
He said God is capable of averting the impending tragedies only if ‘we can pray.’

CelebritiesOtedola Bridge: What Ali Baba Said About Fatal Tanker Explosion by Meekdon(op): 9:44am On Jun 29, 2018
Veteran comedian, Alleluya Akpobome, better known as Ali Baba, has reacted to the tanker fire at popular Otedola Bridge in Lagos, which claimed many lives.

In a sober post on his Instagram page, Ali Baba highlighted the inefficiencies and weaknesses of the Nigerian society, which caused the fatal oil tanker explosion.

He noted that nothing will change those negatives to positives unless citizens and government work together.
The ace comedian wrote: “In organized societies, where traffic is a major issue, tankers and heavy duty vehicles move at night or at specified times.

“In developed climes, MOT agencies… are as serious as the police force. In some other climes, that have deep shores like we do, only one port can not be used for discharge of staples like fuel, and even then, fuel and transportation of inflammable contents are done in controlled methods.

“We are a lawless country. If government tries to organize these same tankers now, they will go on strike, shut down the economy and day to day running, and we will let them continue. Same thing with teachers… try to get them to go get retrained and be Twitter qualified to teach, they will strike and we are back to status quo.

“We do not punish people who even chop monies meant for projects. Projects that have been captured in the budget and monies released. The same people who chop the monies will now be in the ruling party and to prosecute them becomes a No No. And as nothing is done to them another person will do it.

“Just imagine. Nigerians died today because of avoidable precautions and failure to create policies and laws that have consequences that could have deterred that tanker from being on that road.

“But no, lawmakers don’t care. The Executives ‘no send’ and the JUDICIARY is not jailing them. Bet me, more tankers will fall. Nothing will be done. Nothing.”

SportsWorld Cup 2018: Gernot Rohr Blasts Germany Players Over Early Elimination by Meekdon(op): 7:37pm On Jun 28, 2018
Super Eagles German coach, Gernot Rohr has reacted to his country’s shock exit from the 2018 World Cup.

Germany crashed out of the World Cup on Wednesday after suffering a shock 2-0 loss to South Korea.

Germany, the current World Cup holders, also finished bottom of the Group F.

”It was not a team. Maybe the big teams never die, but Germany is not a great team based on these three group matches,” Rohr was quoted as saying by French radio station Europe1.

”This year it was not a team, this team did not deserve to qualify for the knockout stages.”

Rohr, whose Nigerian side also crashed out of the tournament on Tuesday, concluded by saying that the German national team players were arrogant and did not live up to expectations.

PoliticsFour Members Suspended As Crisis Hits Imo Assembly by Meekdon(op): 7:51pm On Jun 27, 2018
The Imo State House of Assembly on Wednesday suspended four of its members.
The Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Acho Ihim, who presided over the plenary, accused the suspended members of engaging in “unparliamentary conduct.”
The affected lawmakers are Chiji Collins, representing Isiala Mbano state constituency; Ifeanyi Nnataraonye, Mbaitoli (Madumere’s LGA ); Uche Oguwuike, Ikeduru state constituency (Madumere’s in-law); and Ikenna Nzeruo, representing Oru West state constituency.
The Speaker immediately appointed Lawman Duruji, who represents Ehime Mbano, as the chairman of the committee that will look into the allegations against them.
Ihim, who did not explain the “unparliamentary conduct,” announced that the suspension was indefinite and that his leadership would not tolerate acts that would tarnish the image of the Assembly before the members of the public.
But the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Acho Ihim, said there was “no political coloration” in the suspension of the four lawmakers.
He said that anybody linking the suspension to the impeachment proceedings against the deputy governor was raising a false alarm.
Ihim advised the suspended members to “sort themselves out with the committee” set up to investigate their “unparliamentary conduct.”

CelebritiesI doubt you are a Pastor – Actress Georgina Onuoha tackles Osinbajo by Meekdon(op): 10:53pm On Jun 26, 2018
Nollywood Actress, Georgina Onuoha has expressed her doubt on the status of the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo. She said she was not exactly sure the Nigerian VP is a pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

The actress said this while lamenting the recent killings in Plateau which has generated several reactions from Nigerians.

We recalls that Plateau State Police Command on Sunday confirmed the killing of 86 persons in attacks on Razat, Ruku, Nyarr, Kura and Gana-Ropp villages of Gashish District in Barkin Ladi Local Government.

Also hit were Daffo and Kuba communities in Bokkos Local Government.

Reacting to the killings, Georgina on her Instagram page urged the Vice President to provide military forces to protect citizens, rather than sending condolence messages.

She argued that mere rehabilitation of farmers will not end killings in some parts of the country, saying that a drastic action must be taken.

“I cannot believe that this man is a pastor and now the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Prof Osinbajo, you cannot serve God and man at the same time. If the root cause of these senseless killings is not addressed, it will keep repeating itself. It’s been blood bathe since this your regime because we are no longer in a democratic nation, so I won’t call it administration. Resettlement and rehabilitation of these farmers are not going to stop these hoodlums from invading again. What happened to use the full force of the Nigerian armed forces to fight against these killers.

“If the non-violent protesters of the Biafra agitators were killed and beaten by the Nigerian Army ordered by your regime, what happens to using that same forces in tackling this menace ravaging our nation. It is time you begin to speak truth to power. Enough is Enough.

“Extending your condolences will not change anything. Protect Nigerians with your military and save them from these herdsmen killing them. You pastors in Nigeria have bastardized religion in Nigeria that even the people have become docile to fake miracles and prayers.

“Fellow Nigerians, go and get your PVC, fasting and prayer points will not count. Only your votes will count. God will not do for man what he has given man the ability to do for himself. Your vote is your power. They’ve used Cambridge Analytical to sow religious tensions and hate amongst us, so that their divide and conquer strategy will work. Don’t allow it this time around. Go and get your PVC. Enough is Enough. Our hearts are with the Plateau State,” she wrote.

Sports4 Things We Learnt As Super Eagles Are Eliminated From 2018 World Cup by Meekdon(op): 10:31pm On Jun 26, 2018
Nigeria is out of the 2018 World Cup, after losing 2-1 to Argentina on Tuesday night in Saint Petersburg.
The Super Eagles needed to avoid defeat to qualify for the round of 16, but were unable to hold on at 1-1, after Victor Moses’ penalty cancelled out Lionel Messi’s opener.

So, what are the 4 things we learnt from the game?

1. Argentina and Rojo again: Nigeria must be sick of playing Argentina at the World Cup. Four times they’ve met in the group stage of the World Cup; four times Argentina have triumphed by the odd goal. It happened in 1994, 2002, 2010, 2014 and in Russia (2018). Last time in Brazil four years ago, it was Marcos Rojo who scored the winner in a 3-2 victory. He popped up again in the most unlikeliest position, to volley in a cross past Francis Uzoho.

2. Ighalo should have won it: Oh yes, Odion Ighalo, you let your country down. The striker who is now based in China, had two golden opportunities with the score at 1-1, before Marcos Rojo sealed victory for the Albiceleste.

3. Rohr should not be sacked: He has his weak moments and he got some calls wrong, but overall, Gernot Rohr has not done badly as head coach of the Super Eagles. The Nigeria Football Federation should keep him in charge, ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

4. Messi sneaks through: With 10 minutes left, it seemed Messi and his team-mates would be leaving Russia. The Barcelona superstar has not exactly set the tournament alight like his arch-rival, Cristiano Ronaldo. But he got his first against Nigeria and will be facing Argentina next.

CrimeNAPAA - Miyetti Allah Carrying Out Genocide In Nigeria by Meekdon(op): 10:16pm On Jun 26, 2018
The National Association of Public Affairs Analysts (NAPAA), on Tuesday urged security agencies to investigate the leadership of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association (MACBAN) for genocide.

We recall that Chairman, North Central zone of the association, Danladi Ciroma, while speaking with journalists, declared that the killings was in retaliation of about 300 cows that were stolen by the villagers.

But NAPAA, while insisting that the leadership of Miyetti Allah should be questioned by security agencies, stated that “It is clear that the organization knows one or two things about the unwarranted and genocidal killings”.

The group, in a statement signed by Hon. Seun Adelore (President) and Comrade Jare Ajayi, in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, also urged elders of the country and international community and all those who have genuine interest in Nigeria to rise to the challenges facing the country.
“The association is highly concerned about the incessant killings occurring on a daily basis in parts of the country in a manner that is not only unprecedented but bordering on genocide”.

“Burning of villages and settlements, killings of tens and hundreds of people, devastation of economic activities especially farmlands and kidnappings for ransom are some of the challenges capable of leading to the disintegration of the country if nothing is done to urgently stop them.

“What matters here is not the necessarily the number of people died. The important thing requiring the attention of everyone is that there is a killing at all. No life of any Nigeria should be lost extra-judicially unless it is through a natural cause.”

“The leadership of Miyetti Allah should be questioned by security agencies as it is clear that the organization knows one or two things about the unwarranted and genocidal killings.

“We all know that cattle rearing are like any other business. Nigeria is operating a capitalist system – meaning that individuals engage in businesses that suit them. If government decides to assist a segment of the citizenry in setting up its business, there is need for wide consultation. It should not be a thing to be imposed on the people in order to avoid frictions and clashes”, it said.

The Super Eagles have been eliminated from the 2018 World Cup, following a 2-1 defeat to Argentina on Tuesday night.
Nigeria needed a draw or victory to progress into the next round.

Gernot Rohr stuck with the same formation and players that beat Iceland 2-0 last Friday, but they struggled to find fluency in the first half.
Lionel Messi scored his first goal in Russia, to give his side the lead at the break.

Victor Moses levelled from the penalty spot, after Javier Mascherano was punished for tugging Leon Balogun.
Odion Ighalo missed two good opportunities to give the Eagles the lead, before Marcos Rojo slammed in a volley late in the game, to give the Albiceleste all three points and a place in the last 16.

PoliticsPlateau Killings: Ekweremadu Gives Reasons FG Must Reorganize Nation’s Security by Meekdon(op): 6:44pm On Jun 25, 2018
The Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, has raised the alarm over the escalating killings and insecurity in Nigeria, warning that more lives would be lost unless the nation’s security architecture is reorganised.

Reacting to the recent killings in Plateau State, which had left scores dead, Ekweremadu decried the reluctance of the nation’s leaders to tinker with the nation’s security structure, despite glaring lapses.

The Senator, who spoke after decorating his newly promoted security aides, Mr. Uchenna Igwebuike and Edward Utuh, with their new ranks of Superintendent of Police (SP) and Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), respectively, however, commended the Nigeria Police for the recent promotion exercise, noting that such would motivate the personnel to give their best.

On the recent killings in Jos, Ekweremadu said: “It is really unfortunate because our country is a nation where the leaders have refused to learn from the mistakes and missteps of the past.

“For many years now, some of us have been consistent about the need to descentralise our security architecture; and so long as we are not doing that, we are going to get exactly the same result.

“It pains me that innocent people, who voted us into power to protect their lives and property are losing their lives and their property because we have refused to take the correct steps.

“The sad news is not only that many people have died, but also that more people will die unless we take the right steps, putting the right security architecture in place. There is no way you will have a federation like Nigeria as big as it is, with all the diversities, and continue to operate a centralised policing and expect it to work. It will never work and it is a major problem.

“So, it is sad that this is happening. But, as I said, the real tragedy is that this Plateau incident is not going to be last because we refuse to be corrected”.

Ekweremadu reasoned that the Government of Plateau State would be in the best position to protect the citizens if it had its own police outfit.

“I want to call on the Federal Government and the leaders of this country again for us to, for once, decide to protect the lives and property of those we are leading because that is the primary purpose of government. I appeal to the Federal Government to have a rethink on the issue of restructuring, especially the ones relevant to the security of lives and property. And the only way to do that is for all of us to sit down and agree to, within a space of the next two or three months, amend the constitution to enable the component units of this country to have their own security architecture, namely the police.

“If the people of Plateau are empowered under the constitution to have their police, then you can place the blame squarely on the governor because he will have the responsibility to recruit sufficient police personnel to protect the people. Right now, the responsibility is that of the Federal Government. There is little or nothing the governor can do about it.

“I sympathise with the people of Plateau State, especially the communities, which lost their loved ones. However, I will continue to sound even like a broken record until the correct thing is done”, he concluded.

PoliticsAPC Using Looted Funds To Finance National Convention – PDP by Meekdon(op): 6:57pm On Jun 22, 2018
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Friday accused the President Muhammadu Buhari-led All Progressives Congress
(APC) of “organizing its National Convention with funds stolen from public coffers.”

PDP claimed that the upcoming APC national convention was a celebration of corruption organized to crown dishonest and fraudulent individuals.

In a statement by its spokesperson, PDP said some of the personalities vying for positions should be “guests” at the office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

The statement reads, “The PDP also said the APC has become a laughing stock and a huge joke among Nigerians following the inability of its leaders to resist the imposition of an individual overburdened by corruption allegations as its new leader.

“It is sickening to note that the entire APC Convention is a celebration of corruption organized to crown dishonest and fraudulent individuals,
who ordinarily should be guests at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) offices across the nation.

“With this, the APC has finally capped itself a party of corruption, deceit and lies, where alleged treasury looters are robed as kings and
where all decency have been thrown overboard for official hooliganism.

“Moreover, Nigerians find it very nauseating that a party, whose Federal Government claims to be fighting corruption, has itself, remained the
biggest beneficiary of corruption and stolen public funds.

“Our investigation had since revealed that governors of APC-controlled states were coerced to divert huge sums from federal bailout funds meant for the wellbeing of the people as well as monies budgeted for development projects in various communities, to fund a failed convention
that promises to sing the Nunc Dimitis of APC.”

The opposition party challenged the APC to “deny reports that funds were syphoned from some federal agencies to finance a wasteful convention.”

PDP added, “Nigerians can now surmise why the Presidency refused to bat an eye over reported syphoning of billions of naira from the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) and the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) allegedly to fund the activities of the APC.

“Furthermore, Nigerians now have a clue regarding the source of the N671 million reported to have been stolen from the APC account by some of its officials, who allegedly diverted the money into their private accounts.

“The PDP calls on Nigerians to mark the APC National Convention as an epilogue for a party that has caused our nation and her people so much
pain and anguish in the last three years.”

CrimeWhy We Are Yet To Arrest BIM Leader, Ralph Uwazuruike – Police by Meekdon(op): 7:47am On Jun 21, 2018
The Imo State Police Command has explained that it is yet to receive any Order of Court, directing it to arrest and hand over the leader of Biafra Independence Movement, BIM, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, to the Nigerian Prisons, to serve his one-month imprisonment.
The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Andrew Enwerem, a superintendent of police, made the position of the command known on Wednesday in Owerri.
Justice Kemakolam Ojiako had sentenced Uwazuruike to one month in prison for disobeying the order of the court to appear before it in a case in which he is the plaintiff.
Ojiako made the order in the civil case, HOW/265/2013, between Uwazuruike (plaintiff) and Barr. Chigozie Iheama and others over a land dispute.
“I am not aware that the command has received any Order of Court, asking us (police) to trail and arrest Chief Ralph Uwazuruike. We have only read about the issue in the newspapers and it will not be proper to act based on what we read from the dailies”, Mr. Enwerem said.
Answering another question, the Imo State Police Command’s PRO, promised that “as a law enforcement agency, the police will appropriately carry out the Order of Court when and if we receive it”.
Reacting also, Uwazuruike’s counsel, Mr. Emmanuel Chukwuka, was of the view that the order to jail his client was “an abuse of court process”, especially as they had since appealed against the hearing of the suit. He also recalled that the presiding judge, Hon. Justice Kemakolam Ojiako, insisted on going ahead with the matter.
“While Justice Ojiako ruled that the substantive proceeding is adjourned to July 10, 2018, to await the outcome of the motion for stay of proceedings, hearing on the appeal suit comes up October 2, 2018”, Chukwuka said.
