Shalewa Adebowale, the 19-year-old girl who was declared missing by her family on October 11, has been found dead

The victim went missing while on her way home from her cousin’s house in the Igando area of the state.

The victim’s sister, Feyikemi, who insisted that Shalewa was a student of the Lagos State Polytechnic, told Punch that she went to sit the entrance examination of the Lagos School of Nursing, Igando, as she wanted to cross over to the institution.

Feyikemi said that her sister called to tell the family that she finished taking her papers later than she expected and would spend the night at her cousin’s place.

The deceased’s mother, Mrs Adebowale, confirmed to Punch that Shalewa had passed away and her body was found at the back of a school in Badagry.

“Shalewa did not make it. Her body was found at the back of a school in Badagry,” she said.

A Nigerian doctor has taken to social media to express shock after a boy's genotype reportedly changed from SS to AA.

The medical doctor claims to have been handling his case took to Twitter to make the revelation.

The boy, named David, was reportedly born with the sickle cell anaemia. Dr Imoh Ebong claims she's been handling his case for years.

A Twitter user with the username Samsparrow Shalom took to the platform to claim that David's genotype is now AA after years of being SS and suffering as a result.

However, Nigerians have demanded to see the two results before they will believe it.

Shalom wrote: "From SS to AA. We need to hear more Testimonies in this our generation. Make e no look like say Heaven go strike on us. God remains faithful!"



A Twitter user, Love Ojimba then claimed the same thing happened to her, writing: "Glory to God. Earlier this year God did the same miracle for me. He changed my genotype to AA, had to check 3 times at different hospitals to be sure. He indeed does miracles."

As the post started generating conversations around the possibility of genotypes to change miraculously, a medical doctor who claims she has been handling David's case weighed in.



Dr Imoh Ebong wrote: "David is AA!!! He was SS and his genotype changed (A MIRACLE)!! As a doctor, I’ve never seen anything like this neither can I explain it medically. I’ve been involved in his management and several repeat investigations- AA, AA!! What God cannot do does not exist. #NSPPD."

Besides the protection of locally manufactured goods, the move was also against smuggling of oil products out of Nigeria, and the inflow of small arms and drugs into the country.



To achieve this objective, the Federal Government through the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Mohammed Adamu appointed a seasoned officer from the high-pressure world of law enforcement, Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Udu Moses Ogechi, to lead a coalition force of border guards drawn from various security agencies to keep smugglers at bay.


The Presidential Task Force christened Enhanced Nigeria-Benin Joint Border Patrol has its operational headquarters at the ever-busy Seme Border, in Badagry area of Lagos. It has done much in reshaping the future of the nation.

Four days before Nigeria closed the border without warning, security agents had intercepted truckloads of prohibited tramadol and codeine, and Customs officers had earlier impounded loads of Pump Action Rifles smuggled into the country.

Today, with the Presidential Task Force at work, it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for anyone to smuggle banned items across the Nigerian Border.


In fact, one of the accomplishments that the President proudly celebrated in his Democracy Day address, on June 12, was the efficiency of police officers and other security agents involved in the special operation to keep Nigeria’s borders safe.

“To reduce security challenges through our external borders especially smuggling of oil products out of the country, inflow of small arms and drugs into the country and equally protect our local manufacturers, we introduced operation ‘Ex-Swift Response’ closing our borders from August 20th 2019, and have considerably succeeded in meeting its objectives as well as improving our national revenue,” the President said in his broadcast.

‘This Is Nigeria’, Chinese Business Man Says As He Assaults Female Neighbour (Graphic photos)

A Chinese business man, Mr Chen who owns Panda supermarket located at Jabi, Abuja physically assaulted his fellow Chinese neighbour, Mrs Chen Xiao Jing who is also a business women in Abuja.

The incident happened on September 26th 2020, at about 11:30pm.

Mr Chen who also own a mini club in the same plaza with Mrs Chen Xiao Jing is known to organize small parties for himself and his friends atleast “4 times a week” where he plays music too loudly hereby disturbing his neighbours.

On the day of the incident, Mrs Chen Xiao whose kid was reportedly crying as a result of the loud music confronted Mr Chen and asked that he reduced the volume of his music, only to be beaten up by Mr Chen who inflicted several injuries on her using a glass tumbler which left glass particles in her face and hand.

Mrs Chen Xiao was rushed to Nizamaye Turkish hospital Abuja at about 12:am by her in-law and driver.


An eye witness said Mr Chen without remorse kept on saying “justice cannot be prevailed on me, this is Nigeria, my money will set me free”.

A reliable source told us that Mr Chen has also threatened to murder Mr Yang Yang (Mrs Chen Xiao’s husband) several times.

The case is currently in court, and Mrs Chen Xiao is calling on the public to help bring Mr Chen who has boasted about getting away with the crime using his money to justice.

Residents of Mulitu Village in Lumakanda, Lugari Constituency in Kakamega County, Kenya were on Tuesday, September 30 treated to a shocking incident in which a 28-year-old man was caught committing bestiality with a dog.

According to the owner of the dog, Margaret Wachanzu, she had gone to buy vegetables from a nearby shop, and upon returning home, she found the suspect, Dickson Boyi, in the act.

“On arriving home, I heard my dog yelping in the hen house. I tip-toed to the place and found the animal had been tied to a wooden post using a mosquito net.

Hiding, was a man known to me, Dickson. He was naked at the time. I asked him, what he was doing clothless in my chicken coop. Instead of responding, he surged forward, collected his clothes and ran away,” said Wachanzu.

“I suspect Dickson had come to steal and, thereafter, commit the indecent act with my dog. What is even more disturbing, is that he had s3x with the animal despite it giving birth recently to five puppies.”

The PUNCH reports that many members of the #RevolutionNow Group on Thursday protested at the United States Embassy in Abuja over the security and socio-economic situation in the country.

They demanded the resignation of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), over insecurity, hunger, and corruption in the country.

The campaigners led by the convener of the movement, Omoyele Sowore, wielded a big banner with the inscription, ‘Buhari has failed,’ and other placards which read, ‘Failed leadership has made Nigeria the capital of the world,’ and ‘#RevolutionNow’.

The protesters, who also included #BringBackOurGirls activist, Aisha Yesufu, Ariyo Dare-Atoye, Henry Shield, Adebayo Raphael, Deji Adeyanju of Concerned Nigerians, among others, criticised what they described as oppression in the country.

Yesufu in her remarks said Nigerians must make the nation work, stating that things were becoming unbearable.

Raphael said Nigerians have passed a vote of no confidence in the country’s political leadership, adding that “under Buhari, our economy is in shambles; under him, hardship has been redefined.”

Adeyanju said Nigerians were dissatisfied with the security and economic conditions in the country, stressing that “Nigeria is not working.”

He observed that soldiers, policemen, and other security agents have taken over the Unity Fountain, Maitama, where a rally was supposed to hold.

The activist appealed to the US to place a visa ban on the Director-General of the Department of State Services for clamping down on protesters in Osogbo.

The campaigners also sang solidarity songs and berated the government for failing to address the insecurity in the country.

Peaceful protesters in Osun state have been reportedly manhandled by operatives of the Department of Security Service (DSS) in Osun State.

The #RevolutionNow protesters had gathered at the popular Olaiya in Osogbo on Thursday to protest the state of the nation, but were dispersed, arrested and brutalized by the DSS.

The DSS operatives were accused of beating and arresting 11 members of the group during the protest. The arrested members were later released.

One of the protesters who was arrested told DAILY POST that they were pushed out by the DSS’ vehicles as the operatives took two of their phones, money and other equipment.

Court Stops Police From Arresting Former Minister, Kenneth Gbagi After He Allegedly Ordered His Staff To Be Stripped

A Federal high Court has stopped the Inspector-General of Police and Delta State Police Commissioner from effecting the arrest or detention of Former Minister of State for Education, Kenneth Gbagi.

Gbagi was declared wanted by the police over his hotel staff who were allegedly assaulted and stripped naked over missing money.

The former Minister has now obtained an ex-parte application for the enforcement of his fundamental rights from a federal high court in Abuja.

Justice Taiwo Taiwo in his ruling, granted Gbagi leave to serve the originating processes and all other subsequent processes in the suit on the Delta State Commissioner of Police by substituted means.

He subsequently adjourned the case till October 16 for hearing.

Alexander Orwhoji, the Divisional Police Officer in Ehime Mbanno, Imo State, has been invited to the police headquarters in Abuja to explain why he allegedly demanded N30,000 for bail and a male surety over a civil matter.

A couple, Paul and Nnenna Osuji, was invited by the police in the state on September 17 over a land dispute but was eventually detained by the police officers at Ehime Mbano when they honoured the invitation the next day.

Instead of treating the case as a civil matter, the police charged the couple for assaulting a widow who was involved in the land dispute and demanded the sum of N30,000 and a male surety for their bail, according to the daughter of the couple, Oluchi.

Oluchi told SaharaReporters that her parents did not beat the window as alleged and her parents were not around on the day that the alleged assault took place.

Oluchi said her sister was only able to raise N19,000 for the investigating police officer, Precious Ukwu, who claimed to be acting on instructions from Orwhoji.

Following a report by SaharaReporters and a petition to the police, Orwhoji has been asked to come to Abuja for an interview with the inspector general of police, according to a source who has been following the case.

"The office got a complaint on the matter and spoke with the DPO. It appears the DPO will have to come down and give us his side of the story," the source said.

The spokesman for the police in Imo State, Ikeokwu Orlando, had earlier dismissed the allegation of bail demand when SaharaReporters asked him about it. Still, he gave reasons why the police specifically asked for a male surety.

"There are conditions for release on bail," he had said. "For instance, you don't bring a woman when you know the woman is under a husband. The woman might not have a base. When someone says the accused must bring a man, the police are trying to establish the fact that the person, the accused, resides and works in that town."

Later in a statement on Saturday, Orlando clarified his earlier comments.

"To set the records straight, the matter reported was an assault occasioning harm, where the suspects met the complainant farming on a piece of land (possibly in dispute), beat her up and inflicted bodily injuries on her. The case was established and was being investigated then.

"Secondly, money was never paid to anybody as the suspects were not released on bail but charged to court."

On gender-specific surety, Orlando said, "I told him – SaharaReporters, that there is no law stating that a woman cannot stand as surety, but the person in whose custody the suspect is has a responsibility to either accept or reject a surety, based on the credibility and reliability of such surety, because as the person in charge of that jurisdiction, the officer is expected to have excellent knowledge of the people within the area, and the essence of a surety is to ensure that the person being taken on bail is produced whenever needed until the case against him or her is finally disposed of.

"I said some people reject women based on their belief that she is not independent or may not be based in an area. I ended up saying that it is wrong, as there is no law stating such."

Popular Nigerian singer, Burna Boy has been criticized by Nigerians on social media for rejecting a request to join the RevolutionNow protest.

Former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore had invited Burna to join the protest owing to his comparison with Fela Anikulapo Kuti.

However, Burna Boy turned down the offer, stating that Nigerian politicians cannot be trusted.

Mum-of-three Nikole Mitchell said she always wanted to become an erotic dancer but she was brought up in a strict Christian family which put a damper on her dreams.

She has now come out as bisexual and carved a new career as a stripper, model and erotic dancer.

Nikole regularly post semi-clad images on her Instagram page to her 42,000 followers and runs a successful OnlyFans account where people pay to see explicit photos and videos of her.

She said: “I started off really timid like just topless photos, but now I’m at the point where I take personal requests and make videos very tailored to people’s specific desires."

The 36-year-old said she always longed to be a stripper but she grew up in a strict Baptist family so was "indoctrinated to believe her desires and body were innately sinful and bad".

Nikole got married and became a pastor - which she said was a move seen as rebellious in her family’s eyes as a "woman's place was in the kitchen and looking after her children."

But when Nikole, and her now ex-husband, joined an evangelist megachurch in St. Paul, Minnesota, she had an epiphany which led to her life-changing decision.

She added: "Every person has the right to express themselves in whatever way feels good to them and this is how it feels good to me.

Sarafa Ayuba, a 22-year-old commercial motorcyclist, has committed suicide by hanging in an uncompleted building beside his uncle’s house at Amuloko area of Olorunsogo in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

According to Daily Post, it was gathered that Ayuba is the only son of his late father.

His mother, Nike, who travelled to Ibadan from Owu in Ogun State, where she remarried, wept uncontrollably, claiming that her son was wasted by some evil forces.

His uncle, Mr. Kazeem Tijani said since Ayuba went to work on Thursday morning, he didn’t see him till he went to sleep at night.

Tijani noted that the whereabouts of Ayuba was not known until yesterday when his phone was being called to ascertain his condition but the ringing tone was being heard close by.

After listening, a woman was said to have traced the tone to the uncompleted building where he was found hanging. The phone was in his pocket.

Two black plastic bags were seen on the ground with his pair of sandals also flung there.

According to some residents, items found in the bags included: a white garment (Jalamia), two types of perfume, a new white singlet, chin chin, biscuits and other personal effects. He used a white handkerchief as a face mask.

Asked what he felt could have caused Ayuba’s death, his uncle, a native of Apomu in the Isokan Local Government Area of Osun State, whose business is sale of scraps, said: “Ayuba got the motorcycle on hire purchase basis and he was paying adequately. He was my brother’s son.

“He was not indebted to anyone and he was not starving at all. He was not married. He has been living with me for the past two to three years. He was working with me before he got Okada. He was initially a tailor and he was doing fine.

“We have searched his room but we could not find any note that he could have left, though we could not search his body. I have called our relations in Apomu; they are on their way”.

Chairman of the Okada Riders Association at Amuloko where Ayuba was a member, Mr. Oluwatosin James confirmed the incident.

James described Ayuba as a very cool and easy-going rider.

“The news of Ayuba’s death came to us as a rude shock. It is this morning that we heard of the news at the Park. He was very reticent and would not fight anybody.

“Once he did his okada business in the morning, he would go and park and go to his uncle’s shop to assist him. Out of N390,000 that he got the Okada on instalment, has paid up to N77,000 that is remaining. There was no issue of threat to him from the person who gave him the okada. In fact, the person is like a brother to him. So, we are confounded over this incident”.

As of the time of filing this report, the body of Ayuba was still dangling as traditional worshippers were making arrangements to bring it down for sacrifice to be performed lest the death turns a pestilence in the community.

MEENATNIGERIA gathered that the fire fighter service was not available to help despite the short proximity between Peek-links and the fire service office. At the time of this report, the cause of the fire is still unknown.
