The Obasanjo Factor The greatest Nigerian and indeed the greatest Yoruba man alive today is Olusegun Obasanjo. Actually, he is not the greatest Nigerian alive, he is greatest Nigerian ever and this is not a subject for debate. Nigeria has been an independent country for fifty eight years, and out of those fifty eight years, Obasanjo has served as Nigeria’s head of state for over eleven and half years. No one else, not even Awolowo, Azikiwe or Ahmadu Bello, great as they were, was able to achieve that. It is obvious that Obasanjo loves Nigeria: four years ago, he supported Buhari after Jonathan failed on many critical fronts, but after seeing the way the country has been poorly managed, he has changed his mind and endorsed his former vice, Atiku. Obasanjo endorsed Atiku because, with all his experience, he has seen that Atiku is the best choice for Nigeria at this time. The Yorubas should see the wisdom in Obasanjo’s choice and vote along that line. Atiku will unite Nigerians It has been said that Atiku is a Wazobia kind of man. This is because he has friends across the length and breadth of Nigeria. More than ever, Nigeria needs a man like Atiku to unite the country. Under the present administration, as a result of the choices they have made, the country has become so badly disunited that Nigerians see their fellow Nigerians as enemies, and this is very sad indeed. South West like other Nigerians need a united country because progress is very difficult without unity. Atiku will Manage the Economy Better This is one of the reasons Obasanjo gave when he endorsed Atiku. Atiku has played very well in the private sector and he understands the economy far better than the incumbent. He has managed private businesses successfully and he has created lots of jobs. Atiku will Promote Education. Atiku like the South West places a lot of premium on education. It is obvious that Atiku loves education because he has built schools from primary to university level. Now the importance of education cannot be over-emphasised. The reason why you hardly ever find people being killed as a result of religion in South West is as a result of the high level of education of Yorubas. Indeed the South West is as religiously diverse as the north, the only difference being that the Yorubas are more educated. What the North really needs to end Boko Haram and end these cycles of violence and bloodshed is education and Atiku is that man who will promote education in the country, especially the north. Buhari will Abandon South West and Tinubu Again After the 2015 election, Tinubu was largely abandoned but the president only started courting him again when he realized he still needed him for 2019 election. Tinubu Wil get the boot big time after the elections 2023 Belongs to God The average Yoruba person is very smart, God-fearing and understands that the future belongs to God. None of those with ambition to be president in 2023 can even guarantee that they will even be alive then. It's God that gives power and if it pleases God that a Yoruba man should be president in 2023 as was the case in 1999, no man can stop it. The Yorubas will not allow anyone to convince to them to vote a failed, incompetent president just because someone has a selfish ambition to be president in 2023 South West Big Pastors and Churches are not in Support of Buhari's Re-election Yorubas are very religious and lovers of the Almighty. God too loves the Yoruba people of South Western Nigeria, that is why He gave them many great and remarkable men of God, like the great Bishop Oyedepo of Living Faith, the great Pastor Adeboye of Redeemed, just to mention a few. Unlike 2015, it is obvious to any spiritually discerning person that Yoruba's great men of God and big churches are not really in support of Buhari's re-election. The Blood of the Innocent Continues to Weep for Justice Despite all the massacres, mass murders, and mass burials we have seen in the North Central under the current administration, it is on record that no one has ever been punished for these atrocities. No one has ever been arrested, tried or brought to justice for all these. The Yoruba people, I know, will never support such injustice The Wisdom of the Yorubas Not in Doubt The wisdom of the average Yoruba person has never been doubt. The Yorubas are the most educated and politically sophisticated tribe in Nigeria. When the chips are down, the Yorubas vote their conscience. This is why leaders who do well in Yoruba land get re-elected while those who perform poorly get booted out. There is no part of Nigeria that has seen incumbents defeated as the Nigeria’s South West. As usual, when the time comes, the Yorubas will make the right choice….they will vote for Abubakar Atiku. Other Reasons I know there are other reasons, but you can go ahead and add yours |
docadams:When Obama and Clinton debated, did you see any other candidate? Those who have realistic chance of winning ought to be given enough time to sell their plans to voters..... not pack the thing unserious candidates and waste valuable time |
It's not an all-comer affair It's not for play, it's serious business None of the other candidates has any realistic chance of winning the election |
Evil people |
What do you want him to use? |
Newbiee:So bringing this one very late will make it to pass fast abi? |
This government is too slow! So when will the National Assembly now work on it?? That budget is not passing till June next year. Can't you see that this government is not serious?? Can't you see that this government is not ready to change?? Let's change the change |
I have never really doubted the wisdom Yoruba people I knew that when the time comes, they would reject the divider and vote Atiku the unifier |
This is a waste of time please If your name is not Atiku, don't waste your time. Go home, rest, come back and run next time |
Oshigun:You don't understand We need someone who has what it takes to unify the country....that someone is Atiku |
i have never doubted the wisdom of Yoruba people When the time comes to choose, they will choose Atiku |
yes but Nigeria is a big country and there no way any one man is going to put a big party like PDP in his pocket or be the one to solely determine who should be the party's presidential candidate |
Ecstasy154:South West will have about the biggest economy in Africa if Nigeria is properly restructured and united. Atiku will unify and restructure Nigeria...this what the Yorubas really want |
Were you expecting him to say 'hey my name is Jubril'? |
coach needs to make changes ..the attack is blunt |
Rasheedat has been absent |
Now that she been called to the bar Does that mean she is now free to drink in any bar? |
elyte89:Lies Failings 1. He abandoned female football: - For over a year, Super Falcons didn't play a single match - He hired an incompetent European coach who has failed to improve the Super Falcon's game - The ongoing u-17 world cup is the only time any of Nigeria's female teams has failed to qualify for the world cup 2. The Flying Eagles failed to qualify for the last u-20 world after losing to Sudan in Lagos as a result of management blunders 3. The Golden Eaglets failed to qualify for the last u-17 world cup because NFF failed to conduct MRI tests early enough and most of the players later got screened out very close to the qualifying tournament 4. Poor handling of the domestic league league leading to champions being crowned without finishing the league. Even now the 2018 /2019 season has not started over 5 months after last season ended abruptly. 5. Reduction of number of Nigerian clubs in CAF competitions from 2 to 1 as a result consistent poor performance by Nigerian clubs caused by poor quality of the league 6. Etc Successes 1. Qualified Nigeria for 2018 world cup but crashed out in the group stage. ( This is not a big deal as Nigeria has qualified for every world cup since 1994 except 2006 which they narrowly missed) 2. Brought in private sector sponsors that helped to improve NFF's finances Verdict 3/10 FAIL Did not deserve a second term especially if compared with the board he succeeded that qualified Nigeria for virtually all the world cups (male and female) all through their tenure |
luvmijeje:Work has not started....Work has to start first before you can talk of speeding up |
helinues:I don't know if anyone has photos but just ask anybody who has traveled that road in the last one year |
CoolAmbience:If GEJ was a mistake, has there been any improvement in the last 4 years? |
I say Aba - Port Harcourt road is the worst road on this planet right now because it's just inconceivable that any other road could be worse that this one, the way is right now I 'm sure anyone that has journeyed from Aba to Port Harcourt recently will bear me witness...it actually takes up to 3 hours these days to do a journey that should take about 40 mins! |
This Onitsha road terrible as it is, is actually better that Aba - Port Harcourt road. Aba - Port Harcourt road is the worst road on this planet right now |
Good |
His support is inconsequential Aside being Obasanjo's son, has he achieved any other thing in life? |
After almost 4 years, you will procure Not that you have procured I have faith that the Almighty who delivered this country from Abacha will also deliver us from this one |
In 2019, Atiku will defeat Buhari in the north You can say that I said so |
chai!! Femi Adesina is now an internationally recognized liar |
GEJ'S PROJECT |
Fashola is right! He promised change in 6 months not in 4 years! Is this not the same man who said any serious government should be able to give Nigerians uninterrupted power in 6 months! |
I have a dream Nigeria will work again |
