Those who have realistic chance of winning ought to be given enough time to sell their plans to voters..... not pack the thing unserious candidates and waste valuable time

It's not an all-comer affair

It's not for play, it's serious business

None of the other candidates has any realistic chance of winning the election

Well, I appreciate your politeness and civility. Still everyone should vote who they want without some using coercion or insult to influence the vote of others. While I appreciate you are likely a decent Igbo person the fact is that decent Igbos have not done enough to
stand againt the bile and hatred many of your kinsmen have directed against us for far too long. Kanu is busy running around asking Yorubas to be killed. Yet the SE is silent. Should you not have shut his hate preaching down if you really disapprove of it?

You reap what you sow in life so no point now seeking Yoruba help for project Atiku. Even Obi is a known anti-Yoruba bigot so it is best Igbos vote who they want and stop speaking for the Yorubas. As far as I can see, no Yoruba is asking you not to vote Atiku so be democratic and leave us vote who we want. Simple. Now the thinking of the Yorubas is different. We are no longer in the Soyinka appeasenik camp.

You don't understand

We need someone who has what it takes to unify the country....that someone is Atiku

yes but Nigeria is a big country and there no way any one man is going to put a big party like PDP in his pocket or be the one to solely determine who should be the party's presidential candidate
Politics / Re: Yoruba Leaders Adopt Atiku For 2019 Presidency by megacity: 6:45pm On Dec 03, 2018
Ecstasy154:
Some prominent Yoruba leaders under the aegis of South-West Forum has adopted the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar for the 2019 election.

At the end of the colloquium tagged, “2019: South-West Speaks”, the Yoruba leaders resolved to support the Abubakar for the 2019 Presidential election because of his promise of restructuring. The event was held at at Muson Centre, Onikan Lagos.

A prominent Yoruba leader, Dr. Remi Akitoye moved a motion for the adoption of Atiku as the South-West candidate for the 2019 election. The motion was unanimously adopted.

Reading the communique, Prince Uthman Shodipe declared that Atiku has been unanimously adopted as the candidate of South-West in the 2019 Presidential election.

He said the Yoruba leaders remain cohesive and believes in the restructuring of Nigeria.

Prof. Banji Akintoye who is the father of the day said the Yoruba nation is going through a high degree of poverty, hopelessness; “the type we have not seen before”.

But he expressed confidence that the Yoruba people will rise up and fight the endemic poverty and hopelessness bedeviling them.

Eddy Olafeso said the glory of the Yoruba nation which he described as one of the finest civilisations in the world is waning but all sons and daughters of the tribe must work together to arrest the drift.

In attendance are PDP Governorship candidate in Lagos, Mr. Jimi Agbaje and his running mate, Mrs. Haleemat Busari, Advanced Democratic Party (ADP) candidate, Babatunde Gbadamosi and PDP governorship candidate in Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde.

Others are Senate Minority Leader, Senator Abiodun Olujimi, National Vice-Chairman, South-West PDP, Dr. Eddy Olafeso; former National Secretary, Chief Ebenezer Babatope; PDP Chairman in Lagos, Dr. Adegbola Dominic and Chairma, ADP, Barr. Adewole Bolaji.

Others are Prof. Banji Akintoye, a foremost historian and Second Republic Senator; Dr. Remi Akintoye; Senator Kofoworola Bucknor-Akerele; Chief Aderibigbe Shittu; Alhaji Bayo Lawal; Dr. Saka Balogun; Mogaji Gboyega Adejuwon; Erelu Olusola Obada, Chief Sunday Oguntade, among others.

South West will have about the biggest economy in Africa if Nigeria is properly restructured and united.

Atiku will unify and restructure Nigeria...this what the Yorubas really want

elyte89:
D best FA CHAIRMAN SO.FAR!!! cool

Lies

Failings
1. He abandoned female football:
- For over a year, Super Falcons didn't play a single match
- He hired an incompetent European coach who has failed to improve the Super Falcon's
game
- The ongoing u-17 world cup is the only time any of Nigeria's female teams has failed to
qualify for the world cup

2. The Flying Eagles failed to qualify for the last u-20 world after losing to Sudan in Lagos as
a result of management blunders

3. The Golden Eaglets failed to qualify for the last u-17 world cup because NFF failed to
conduct MRI tests early enough and most of the players later got screened out very close
to the qualifying tournament

4. Poor handling of the domestic league league leading to champions being crowned without
finishing the league. Even now the 2018 /2019 season has not started over 5 months
after last season ended abruptly.

5. Reduction of number of Nigerian clubs in CAF competitions from 2 to 1 as a result consistent
poor performance by Nigerian clubs caused by poor quality of the league

6. Etc

Successes

1. Qualified Nigeria for 2018 world cup but crashed out in the group stage. ( This is not a big
deal as Nigeria has qualified for every world cup since 1994 except 2006 which they
narrowly missed)
2. Brought in private sector sponsors that helped to improve NFF's finances

Verdict

3/10
FAIL

Did not deserve a second term especially if compared with the board he succeeded that qualified Nigeria for virtually all the world cups (male and female) all through their tenure

I say Aba - Port Harcourt road is the worst road on this planet right now because it's just inconceivable that any other road could be worse that this one, the way is right now

I 'm sure anyone that has journeyed from Aba to Port Harcourt recently will bear me witness...it actually takes up to 3 hours these days to do a journey that should take about 40 mins!
