@Javanian, it is a war game, you command units(tanker, fighters, transporters etc) to move say a tanker from one position to another you have to use the shortest path from it's posiiton to it's destination because each unit has maximum distance it can move.

what am ssaying is that programs that use RECURSION are LIABLE TO STACKOVER FLOW error. We did android game and shortest path algorithm was implemented for 100x100 tiles thats 10,000 at most yet because of recursion, it had stackover flow problem we introduced Tail Recursion, it still shows that but rarely until we had to cache already calculate tiles so we can reused than recalculate. My point free from recursion when even you cann. Dont believe me?? Write a recursive function that calculates factorial and find factoriaal of 5million, do it tail rcursion way and see there is virtually no limit.

Recursion over Iteration? It depends on the use case. Write a recursive factorial function that calculates factorial of say 1billion or 500million and lets see if you wont have stack overflow error. Recursion is not memory friendly and once you have a problem that involves recursive calls that runs into thousands you are bound to have a problem.

Lisp is not popular because it's a funtional programming language which the programming community is yet to adopt like Other paradigm. How many IT organisations uses Lisp Fb? No, Google? No, Microsoft? No, Yahoo?? No, etc

Use what works for you, Truth is that programming in Lisp will lead to a paradigm shift in way of thinking and will lead to a cultural shock which not many programmers are ready to take and above all, how often do you see a job opening requesting for Lisp expert or Knowledge? People learn what can get them a job.

My opinion is that is very useful for teams especially when they are not at same location and then for large projects.

i had the experience recently, i tried using sun shades but i dont feel comfortable with the sunglass, it scratches my nose. so i used my laptop power option(by clicking on the battery icon) to change the brightness to zero. now i use my lappy for hours without any strain on my eyes. besides reducing brightness reduces power consumption and saves battery. so thats a win win. cheers

the truth is that after looking at python for days, infact i have been scanning python ebooks since last year, i set up ruby and rail last night. I cant even write ruby codes now without looking up reference manual but my verditc is Python < PHP < Ruby. So RoR it's. Python sucks, seriously the python buzz is just hype thanks to google marketing. Till i see any reason to look it up again. Scala and Ruby are the new programming languages i'll learn.
