I didn't take a enough picture because I went to Port louis with a school representative, so I had to caution myself. Next time I will go out with a fellow student and bomb you guys with photos... |

Continuation... There are so many options to chose from your institution here in Mauritius ranging from semester transfer to other schools abroad or through an internship abroad. This can be done with the help of your school... the internship favours mostly people on Hospitality courses because they have a mandatory intern to do. After 5 to 6months for diplomas, while after 1yr for BA of your arrival, you jet off to Europe or the US. Probably your school will list the countries available for your internship, so you chose. You should also have it in mind that these abroad internships are subject to a specific placement fee. Only the ones done in Mauritius are placement free. Intern ranges from 6months to 18months. As we all know that US visa appointment in Nigeria is already filled up until 2023, but here you can get a date within 3days. You can't blame the homeoffice, insecurity in Nigeria is on another level, everyone is now a suspect in their eyes... |
Teslason:Sure... |
Limassol:Currently I'm still in the school accommodation for now, but I will be moving out next week to my own rented accommodation. The infrastructure here is absolutely great. As a student your bus pass is free, medicals is free upto some certain extent. The power supply is steady, the power has never gone off since I arrived here. This is a perfect retirement Island for Europeans and Americans. |
Teslason:The Native Mauritian people are BLACK !!!!!! |
Teslason:Free your mind from hate... the monika before me just said it all... You never cross Murtala Mohammed you don dey reason racism... you better stay back in Nigeria and don't think of travelling... One thing you have to understand is that discrimination is a lot more in Nigeria when compared to Ghana not to talk of another costal line... Nigerian students still dey Siberian, Minsk, and shanghai, places with high rate of racism and still excel not to talk of Mauritius that has Black population ... |
Teslason:Their salary ranges from 9k to 10k rupees per month... that's their minimum wage.. if you are lucky, you might get something higher.. |
Pelxmiye:Not really... when compared to others.. let's use SA as a case study... Secondly while searching for schools, you should avoid Big universities and narrow down your search to colleges and Educational Institutes. I have a friend here in Middlesex University located at Flic & flac, their tuition fee is 6kusd, while my institute charges 2500usd |
Teslason:Getting a job depends on your school arrangement. Most schools that run hospitality courses already have job offers waiting for you. But in a situation where your preferred school doesn't, it might take you few weeks to land a job depending on your location. You have to re-do your medicals and others before that though. |
Pictures coming soon guys !!!! |
I'm back guys.... Due to the devaluation of naira, most Nigerian students now find international tuition fees very scary coupled with the high rate of visa rejection due the insecurity in Nigeria. Thank God for UK that still grants Study visas but their tuition fee is not friendly thereby making it difficult for people living within average income to afford. Here comes Mauritius. Mauritius is a country in the Indian Ocean. They hardly address themselves as Africans lol ... sometime last week, a lady asked me here in mauritius, how is Africa ? though she's Indian decendant but she grew up in Mauritius. Most of them doesn't have an international passport. The country's major source of income is Tourism and Sugar production. They have countless beautiful beaches, their main language is English and French, with their local language called creole. CREOLE is like a pigin French. |
Hello guys.... this tread is about genuine students looking for cheap and comfortable country to travel to for studies and work placement. Don't forget that Mauritius is an easy access to anywhere in the world and Mauritian people don't travel out. Mauritius passport ranks 2nd strongest in Africa which gives them free visa to schengen zone and the UK. I will be highlighting more on the process regarding Mauritius Study visa and life in Mauritius. |
Bifrost:PTA & BTA are subject to availability. You get it instantly, same day. |

I'm about to apply for a tourist visa. I have my documents. My uncle is a South African Citizen, he sent me his notarized SA passport, house papers, bank papers and invitation letter. I will be applying with my mom as she's also included in the invitation letter. Please how much is the visa fee now? |
ZIINI:The Op never ready to travel out from this shithole |
Netherlands is best, but you will be required to pay 1year tuition which is around 10k to 15k euros. With other fees. The best thing is that the school applies for your study visa from Netherlands. |
