PastorKun:. I quite agree with you that certain pastors twist the word of God just to extort money from there followers but i also want to remind u that their are still true men of God out there. I strongly believe in tithing, offering and first fruit because its scriptural. well, my candid advise to as many that wish to serve God is to ask him[GOD] first for the spirit of decernment to be able to decern the true men of God from the fake ones so you dont go astray or been dupped.thanks |
Giving is a choice and not by force. If u don't wish or you don't have any reason to give please don't try to discourage others frm doin so, I believe in offerings, tith, and FIRST fruit. |

The Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, has been elected as the first female President of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries at the 166th meeting of the body in Vienna, Austria. Alison-Maduke takes over from Libyan Vice Prime Minister for Corporation, Abdourhman Atahar Al-Ahirish, and her tenure takes effect from January 2015. Before her emergence, she was the Alternate President of the Organisation. The conference, according to a statement from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation on Thursday, also elected the Minister of Energy and Industry of Qatar and Head of its delegation, Dr Mohammed Bin Saleh Al Sada, as Alternate President. Alison-Madueke said the United States Shale oil and gas had a lot of impacts on all major oil and gas producing economies stressing that it was a major game changer for all stakeholders in the energy mix across the globe. The petroleum minister noted that in the months ahead, OPEC would provide a veritable platform for member countries to find a remedy and deal with the issue frontally noting that there were no quick fixes to the sliding oil prices. The new OPEC president stated that the burden of falling oil prices was impacting on both OPEC and non OPEC member countries. Alison-Madueke said that the current trend would make Nigeria to look very stringently again at the Petroleum Industry Bill which was already before the National Assembly to ensure that the enablers therein were explored. On plans by the Federal Government to prepare for the global fall, she said Nigeria had no recourse at this point in time other than to fully develop her gas infrastructure for domestic use. Rising from the 166th Ordinary Conference, OPEC member countries decided that in the interest of restoring market equilibrium, current production level of 30 million barrels per day as was agreed in December, 2011 should be maintained. The conference also confirmed the readiness of member countries to respond to developments which could have an adverse impact on the maintenance of an orderly and balanced oil market. OPEC also directed its secretariat to step up its close monitoring of developments in supply and demand as well as non fundamental factors such as speculative activity http://www.punchng.com/news/opec-elects-diezani-first-female-president-nnpc/ |

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, on Tuesday said he would support whoever emerged as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, if he lost the party’s ticket. Atiku said this while addressing the APC Enugu State national delegates at the Nike Lake Resort Hotels in Enugu on Tuesday evening. He also said he would not criticise the other presidential aspirants. Atiku, however, stressed that he was a better candidate than his rivals. “Whether I win this primary or not, I will support whoever wins. That is why in all my public speeches I will not criticise any candidate,” he said. He explained that the APC presidential aspirants had agreed to support one another. Atiku said, “This is an undertaking we made that we will support each other and never criticise one another in public. We have to start the change at the leadership level.” Continuing, Atiku urged the APC members to support their party’s candidates, even when the particular candidate they prefered failed to emerge as the flag bearer. He argued that good governance was better than selfish gains. The former vice president said, “Whoever wins the nomination, don’t work against the party. It is better for you. Your life will be better, the life of your family will be better. “It is better for you to have the government than to remain in opposition because your candidate did not win. “Good governance is better for you than whatever you can put in your own pocket.” Abubakar also spoke of the qualities that made him better than his rivals. He said, “There is no part of this country that I cannot call a home – none of the rest can boast of this quality. Besides, none of them have acquired the experience I have acquired politically. “Even when situations appeared favourable to me personally, I rejected in the interest of this country. I have fought many political battles for democracy, the rule of law and the survival of our democratic dispensation. “I have prepared myself over the years to serve, I have the experience to serve and I want to serve.” Abubakar, who spoke of his humble beginnings, noted that he was fortunate to go to school on scholarship, while also expressing reservations that the situation was no longer the same in the country. He added, “I am today a self-fulfilled person. I am not looking for anything. The only passion I have is that I will never allow this country to be mis-governed. Today, the PDP is mis-governing this country to a level I have never seen in my life.” Atiku noted that if there was no change in 2015, “PDP will destroy the country and we will be looking for another country because it will be too late.” He donated N5m to the Enugu State chapter of the APC and another N1m to the chapter’s elders.http://www.punchng.com/news/ill-support-apc-candidate-if-i-lose-atiku/ |
