Why didn't they work their magic in all that time? We were an undeveloped bush at independence without a single university, expressway, power station, or major industry. Meaning that if they had been in power till now, we would have been really, really backward. You must understand that Colonial Rule is not a system designed for your benefit, but for the economic benefit of the coloniser, who exports your resources and keeps the profits..
