He's Nigerian but Nigeria is not entitled to his talent. He is being developed by another nation, they must always have that right of first refusal.
It's like a sperm donor claiming ownership of a kid he birthed instead of the foster parents who did the actual parenting and raised the child.
The English reserves the right to first refusal. Go to our ghettos, you will see madly talented kids better than this guy who have no access to proper facilities, coaching and academy. The job of the NFA is to create an eco system to birth these talents.
You are very correct.

*Chukwueze won the most duels (11) in the game.

*His First La Liga Start of the season in 6 league appearances.
This is impressive .
I am wowed especially by the number of duels won.

These stats shows a massive improvement coming from a player who is known to contribute very little to defense.

I am not exonerating Ndidi in any way but that was a difficult position his teammates put him under. For a midfielder they know is limited in the passing/ball-playing game, that is no situation he should be under.

By the way, even a limitation in an area does not necessarily mean he can not be used in an effective way. He is an excellent play breaker. With the right positioning and good movements of his teammates, Ndidi can easily connect with them with some simple fast passing system.

In this case, I insist that the coaching crew and Evans take major blame. Not saying Ndidi could not have salvaged the situation with some invention.
Thank you, TheGoodJoe, for the words in bold letters.

Well, I opted for Awaziem because of familiarity.
Familiarity towards Awaziem might equally be informing his preference for Akpoguma. People always prefer to try new things while looking down on the things they are used to.
As things stand, i will prefer Awaziem to Akpoguma.

This list wear cinch belt...

Onyekuru is a surprised inclusion..his slot should have been given to a midfielder though. Even Peter olayinka or Yira Sor woukd have been a better idea.

I'm surprised Aribo missed out and I'm not surprised at the same time.

As for the defence and goalkeeping, may God help us. The only positive there is the return of Akpors.
Akpoguma will add only to the squad depth.

Official!

The squad list
Please, no one should blame Samuel Chukwueze and Moses Simon, if they fail to perform. They don't normally do well with midfield of this kind.

The good thing about this midfield, is that all the personnel listed, favour forward passes of the ball, and are very adventurous.

I will pay good attention to how he sets up this team, and to how he composes play.

No my good man, it is very much in context with your reply.

You were stressing Ndidi's 81% passing accuracy in the opposition half after 5 EPL games as proof that he is an accomplished ball passer and I brought the breakdown to show you that it doesn't depict such. Simple. Ndidi's passing range is limited. That is the Truth.
Let me give you a quick summary of how the discussion evolved:

Ndidi recorded a high passing accuracy of 90%.
TheGoodJoe said "This was phenomenal",
TheLoneCitizen replied "Regular stats for any average defender against a good team".
Hatakekakashi replying TheLoneCitizen said "Exactly. Most of those passes are between him and his CB partner, that's why he has 90% pass accuracy

Following the discussion, and especially taking note of the reply given by Hatakekakashi, i decided to come in to give the notion that Ndidi has always recorded a high passing accuracy, whether played as a CD or DM. I went on to reveal stats regarding the accuracy of his passes in the opposition's half. This putting to rest the suggestion that the high accuracy of the passes he recorded in the last game might be as a result of an interchange of passes between him and his CB partner.

TheGoodJoe:
Who let the MONSTER out? This was phenomenal.

To the best of my knowledge, Ndidi started as a central defender. Maybe, he is being played off position.
TheLoneCitizen:
Those numbers aren't impressive, brother. Regular stats for any average defender against a good team.

If he got those as a DM, then they became eye-catching.
hatakekakashi:
Exactly. Most of those passes are between him and his CB patner, that's why he has 90% pass accuracy.
Meliforme:
Stats says otherwise. Ndidi has good numbers in accuracy of passes whether as a CD or DM.
It should interest you that Ndidi's percentage of accurate passes in the opposition's half is at 81% and that is astonishing for someone reputed as being a poor passer of the ball.
This was how you went out of context.
A good football analyst, knows that whenever percentage of accurate passes is mentioned, it is obviously short passes that is implicated except otherwise indicated as long pass, chipped pass etc. This is because short passing is basic. That is what was being discussed. Ndidi recorded a high passing accuracy. How you went ahead to add to what was not discussed surprised me. One of your additions included saying that i labelled Ndidi an accomplished ball passer.

TheSuperNerd:
Below is a Breakdown of Ndidi's pass-types this season so far.. 81% passes in the opposition half is the whole picture but the wrong perspective. Sofascore didn't tell you how many are forward or backward or sideway passes.

According to Squawka using Opta data, we have:

Forward passes - 69
Backward passes - 30
Sideway passes - 162.

Also, Ndidi has completed 230 passes this 22/23 EPL season so far... only 2 are long passes.

Short passes - 228
Long passes - 2

Zero Through balls. Zero lines-breaking. Non-progressives.

I could even compare Ndidi's best season (20/21) to a random MF like let's say Idrissa Gueye also in 2020/21 and the passing Stats will not be funny.
Your reply to my post is not in context. You should have been patient to make out very well the information my reply to him conveyed.

I suggest you go back to reread the post you quoted.

I don't really understand this latest campaign against Ndidi, waa yesterday the first time he's playing as a make shift cb for Leicester. All of a sudden Ndidi is now the reason Nigeria don't play well. Some people are trying to push a narrative to portray Ndidi as not good in his role as a dm anymore.
Don't mind them.

I saw his stats. Ndidi is very good. It is just that he has been told to keep it simple.
