princewarri1985: The undoing of Tinubu was merging his beloved party then to form what is now known today as APC, Because he had the entire yoruba states under his grip then, the reverse is the case because they dont know his worth anymore and he is the reason buhari is in power today but buhari dont respect the jagaban anymore No Osu man will determine how a Yoruba man makes his move! Undoing for making his choice in an election? It is not your fault, I blame majority of Tinubu's kinsmen who always ignore your hatred instead of balancing it up. |

emmykk: The south south and south east is the old eastern Nigerian. The South south may not be politically attached to the doings of the South East but are more emotional to it.
Tinubu is capone of south west not for south south as wrongful stated.
In Edo state where his party was and he was making comment he was dislodged. Does it look like Tinubu control Rivers states , Delta state,Bayelsa states, Akwa IBom ,Cross River or Edo The answer is no. The Southern Governors Forum is a pressure group helping to shape mainly things of national security that will protect their people .They are far from endorsing Tinubu or any person or region as a general consensus . They have their political alignment. So what the chairman of South Governors Forum is allegedly to have said is not correct nor we they agree with each other on who should be next southern president. They are know we're they worship. Edo and Delta of South south were formerly South west, the were never part of South east in history |

I guess it is trust ? Mumu! Tinubu's tribe voted for the same person in 2011, he treated them bad and they refused to vote him in 2015. Meanwhile voting a candidate in an election if you understand English is making a choice and not betrayal like the Osus always want people to believe. The Osus voted for Tofa, a northerner against Abiola a southerner, nobody accuse them of betrayal because election is a function of choice. |

Firstcitizen: Lol. What do you even understand by the word Kingdom.
Let me cull something from Wikipedia so I can put it in better perspective
"At its height, Benin dominated trade along the entire coastline from the Western Niger Delta, through Lagos to the kingdom of Great Accra (modern-day Ghana).[
It was for this reason that this coastline was named the Bight of Benin. The present-day Republic of Benin, formerly Dahomey, decided to choose the name of this bight as the name of its country. Benin ruled over the tribes of the Niger Delta including the Western Igbo, Ijaw, Itshekiri, Ika, Isoko and Urhobo amongst others. It also held sway over the Eastern Yoruba tribes of Ondo, Ekiti, Mahin/Ugbo, and Ijebu.
It also conquered what eventually became the city of Lagos hundreds of years before the British took over in 1851." I laugh in Swahili, Kingdom is lower than an Empire in all ramifications, also anybody can put any information on Wikipedia, just like it puts Kwara in South West which is not true. Benin republic is pronounced "Bene" and not Benin just like Niger republic is not the same Niger state in Nigeria. War conquests and dominance was reported about Oyo empire, Benin only had cultural influence some of the tribes around her and that Benin conquer Lagos, please stop it, this is not beer parlour discussion |

OKAIDUN: The fact that there are yoruba names in Edo and delta have nothing to do with OYo kingdom. It is because Yoruba is a big tribe and nothing else, and the other tribes you see some of them with Yoruba names it is as a result of intermarriage, proximity to yoruba land or the fact they grew up there. And yes Lagos was under Benin empire. OYo was a confederacy, not really an empire in the actual sense
"The products of the blacksmith guilds were also means by which the Oba determined the loyalty or otherwise of a vassal states to Benin kingdom. They were also the means by which the Oba legitimized the rulers in the vassal states. The “emblem of authority” or “staff of office” sent by Oba Osemwende (c.1816) to king Akintoye of Lagos in the course of the 1850s symbolized the Oba’s hegemony over Lagos and the legitimization of the Akintoye’s reign over his people. The acceptance of this emblem implied the King of Lagos’ recognition of the over-lordship of the Oba of Benin; with the obligation of annual tributes to Benin (A.F.C. Ryder, 1977, p.14)." Oga, enough of your revisionist history, Oyo empire was never a confederacy because it controlled all the units under it until the decline in its power which is common to most empires like Mali, Ghana and Songhai. To have called anybody Oba confirmed the fact that Oranmiyan, the first Alaafin of Oyo established Benin Kindgom. Intermarriages is why Yoruba is having Omowumi and Itsekiri is having Omawumi, please try another logic, you are free to believe whatever you want to but the issue Oba Yewande or Osewande to Akintoye is too pedestrian. Yoruba owns the word "Oba" and anybody using it has a link with the Yorubas. |

Firstcitizen: Britain was a kingdom that was an empire. Benin was a kingdom that was also an empire spanning as far Lagos. There was no other empire in pre colonial southern Nigeria other than Oyo, Benin was a kingdom and never expanded to any Lagos. You can't find any Benin name in any of the six Yoruba states but there people with Yoruba names in Edo and Delta. |

SlayerForever: Oil producing states
South East *Abia *Imo *Anambra
South West *Ondo (Bitumen)
Southwest offers nothing to the economy. No wonder they hate Oduduwa nasan Typical Osu with low thinking let me educate you and your fellow ignoramus liking your m*mu comment. Before the coming of Lagos as an oil producing state last year, Two states of the East Abia and Imo and Ondo of West are the three states producing crude oil outside Niger Delta. The combined output of Imo and Abia for east is less than 30,000bpd while the output of Ondo is 60,000bpd. Last year Lagos was added with the capacity of 40,000 bpd and your fellow Osus on this platform lamented how crude oil is no longer essential because it has been discovered in Lagos the land of people you love to hate. Now 4 litres of crude oil is reported to have been discovered on in a disputed area between Kogi and Anambra to be shared equally, you are bragging probably you forgot that if Kogi is an oil producing state it is still to the advantage of Yoruba people because Kogi west belong to them. You hypocritically (Typical of the Osus) painted Ondo has having only Bitumen thinking everybody on this platform is a villager like you. The way God bless Yorubas, the Osus will just continue to develop B.P for nothing. |
