The unheard of happened today at Amaechi, Awkunanaw, Enugu State today as the corpse of the first son of Senator Jim Nwobodo, Dr. Ifeanyi Nwobodo was stolen today at the morgue where it was kept. Rumor has it that it was his two other sons from the deceased's mother that took the corpse to an undisclosed destination on the ground that the former Senator refused to bury the deceased in his family compound at Amaechi but chose to do so in a new land he hurriedly bought and built a bungalow for the burial contrary to the protestations of the brothers of the deceased and the majority of the villagers who decried same as a sacrilege especially because the deceased who was a medical doctor during his lifetime was married and had three children including a son. The next grievance is said to be because the Senator refused his ex-wife, Onyekaozulu, the mother of the deceased from visiting or taking part in the burial rites.. The thousands of mourners from over the seas and within Nigeria together with the high and mighty including governors, senators and ministers and also the undersigned were left disappointed at the developement.This is an eye witness account. Details as more events unfold.
