Taribo was also wise enough to praise the coach, we all know that approach. Not much difference from political praise singers, they would tell you that "you're doing well " just so they can be in your good books and maybe land a job. Ask Arsene Wenger where his praise singers are now.

Again, it's good to talk about next gen, but that's why we have age grade soccer, U-15, U-18, U-20 and U-23 with their respective coaches. It's not the duty of Gernot Rohr to groom youngsters for the National team. Though he mentioned NFF, it was only in passing and he spent more time extolling the average Coach. This is another reason why I feel Taribo is either speaking from his anus or he is just praise singing the coach to land a gig.

Lobi Stars are Nigerian Professional Football League champions.

The Pride of Benue have emerge winners after the Nigerian topflight season was brought to end at despite with 14 games left to play.
The League Management Company and clubs in a meeting on Friday reached a consensus to end the league season after 24 games due to the worries of meeting the October 15 deadline of the Confederation of African Football for submission of its representatives for club competitions.
In a statement, the LMC explained that the congested league fixtures, the Federation Cup and Enyimba’s Caf Confederation Cup campaign forced the unanimous agreement, which was consequently ratified by the Nigeria Football Federation.
It further disclosed that no team will be relegated from the just-concluded season, while four teams will be admitted from the Nigeria National League for the new 2018/2019 season.
