achi4u: We are In d raining season by the time we enter dry season our able gov. T A Orji will swoop to actionJoker!! |
Bright2: The topography of the soil in Aba makes it difficult for road to last longer except there is another method of road construction may be with metal plates althrough, then it can last but still subject to corrosion!Don't say what you don't know. Sam Mbakwe Roads in Aba are still being used, constructed morethan 30years now. The prroblem is that the governor doesn't care. He believes dt in following GEJ, nothing will happen to him. I passed through this Road on Monday, I regretted ever going there. |
I watched the thanksgiving service on NTA, personally I don't think he is that weak which some people forced us to believe, just that there is no true loyalty in Nigerian Politics. I expected the Ag Gov to handover the mantle to him and watch the people's reaction just as GEJ did when his former boss came back but he is power drunk to induce the HA to side him. I pray God to heal him permanent cos all have sinned!!! |
Its a fat lie. This is assumption without facts. Nigeria is 160million, how many percentage live in the city? How many percentage earn morethan 2USD a day to buy bottle water of 50naira? Nigerians consumer more of sachet water to bottle water, so the figure is very wrong. How many Nigerians can afford to spend abt 90US Cent to buy Eva water? Millions of Nigerians rely on 'pure water' for most living in the city while those living in the rural area mainly drink from source. |
Na obodo m, anaghi akwa ozu na mgbochi orie. Anaghi alu nwanyi na mgbochi orie. |
I'm an Igbo man, I support Dr. Chris Nwabueze Ngige, onwa! Whether APC or ACN or ANPP or AD. I dnt buy all those ethnic propaganda. |
From my life experience, I say YES. |
Why no Oando Station in Aba is included? |
slap1: T. A Orji is doing nothing in Abia State, so he has time to gallivant. He could even attend a meeting of the Northern Governors' Forum. Yeye man.T. A . Orji duty is to attend meetings, following GEJ where ever he is going, attending burial and weddings. Go to Aba and see dead city. IMBE.CILE!!! |
All in attempt to paint Ngige black. Why are we so desperate? To me, Ngige is the best among all other candidates. If not that he stopped Ubahs from state treasury ,who's Peter Obi to rule Anambra State!! God used Ngige to deliver Anambra State. |
Do you expect him not to defend her even if she doesn't worth/merit it? Another gist biko! |

1bunne4lif: ndi-akaeme unoMy neighbor. Am your Landlord. Come pay homage this xmas. |
Abagworo: I don't think the thread is about origin as the origin of Opobo is quite recent and documented with events surrounding it. I noticed that there were claims of "Ibani" being the original language of Opobo but its obvious "Ibani" is only indigenous to Bonny and was left behind by founders of Opobo probably due to situation of things then. I noticed a recent language enforcement or claims of language extinction when it never was there in the 1st place. Some went as far as lying that Igbos forced them to start speaking Igbo during the 1st republic and that's a wicked lie.We are on d same page. All those coastline towns had very few inhabitants with the unknown language 'ibani' as language. Now, settlement of Igbo speaking people in a very large number including other factors and eventual kingship of Jaja influenced the opobo Language to be Igbo. Now, the major opobos tell you that they are Igbos while few of them try to bring back the suppose dead language of Ibani. I believe that the Ibani are also migrants in that Island maybe of Ijaw descendant and are few in number but Igbo language took over cos of the factors said earlier. |
From my own understanding, Opobo town is originally not an Igbo town but due to slave trade and busineSs transactions connected with the colonial Masters, Igbo slaves taken from Igbo towns were dumped there and they were large in number and some regained their freedom there like King Jaja and some traders migrated from Aro and other igbo communities to Bonny and with their close link with Azumini and Ndoki of Igbo communities, Opobo was turned into Igbo speaking community. From what I deduced from here. |
I equally need answer to this. |
DrBaby: After living so close to d most notorious university in Lagos, I can say I av seen too many cult clashes to be counted. I knw too many ppl who av died frm it (almost al were cultist, infact all of dem). The most painful one was dt sunday mornin wen dey killed my neighbour (we av bn neighbours for over 15 yrs, went to same sec. Schl). He came back frm orientation camp n was killed dt mornin while his parents ad gone to early morn service for thanksgivin for his graduation frm schl.Dr. Reply my PM. |

I love this Pope! His message is, those new churches should carry on and hold onto their faith by spreading the gospel and encouraging re- evangelization of the European and North American Churches where the faith is eroding. Most importantly, spreading the gospel in cognizance of the host cultural and traditional dignity with respect. The only message ' go ye into the world and spread the gospel' . That should be our mission as Christians. |
bboiabb: emenike is a god!Blasphemy! |
confusion247: You lied by saying that election didn't hold in Abia state. You also lied by saying that Abdulsalami is celebrated like Mandela.I would have not replied you but I will do it to tell you why I said 75percent of Abians didn't vote. I am with a Fed agency and I worked during the election, they experiences I had are nothing to write here. Same with my Colleagues. Ballot boxes and election materials were used in bushes, uncompleted buildings and houses of PDP politicians. They thugs that carried out this act were guided through by soldiers. When soldiers come to any polling booth, they will scare the voters and take away d election materials. Abdusalami is celebrated, follow international politics and know what I am saying. GEJ can contest and win, I wish him luck but I prefer him to an ICON of Democracy. |
