Boss13: You have a problem here Oga! If you can rectify it, please do quickly. Your NOC must be consistent in all documents you submit. Please o, I really don't understand this occupation on marriage cert thingy. Is marriage cert to prove marriage or to prove occupation? I believe it's the first. So if I worked for one year as a banker during which I got married (and they probably put 'banker' on my marriage cert), then worked 3 yrs as a field engineer, and this is what I'm using as my primary NOC, are you saying my application will be rejected because it shows banker on my marriage cert? Please o, let's be sure of the info we pass across so as not to scare people. Lol |

And I am angry because this thread is very helpful. Last year someone told my hubby and I about Express Entry. I searched on Google and saw this thread. After reading the first page, I went to every single link Zandora shared there, did our ECA and IELTS and created our profile. We got our ITA and now waiting for PPR.
In all this, I don't think I asked more than 1 question for clarification on this thread.
So if you think this thread is not helpful, please look for another you think will be helpful and take your laziness somewhere else. |

Caution: I dey vex as I type this!
All these people talking about creating thread here and there. It's so funny. You are complaining about this thread not having enough info so the need for another thread. Have you asked yourselves what you have contributed to this thread to make it what you want? Just a few people here actually spend their time and energy providing the info they FOUND THEMSELVES AND DECIDED TO SHARE. Nobody is being paid by anybody to provide info, we are all here to help each other. If only we can stop being lazy and use simple GOOGLE to find info, and SHARE with others, then this thread would be great. Instead newbies come to ask same questions that have been answered over and over, then at the end start looking for new threads. Please people read!!!! Spend time on cic or canadavisa websites and get info!!!! Stop looking for who will go and search and come spoon-feed you!!!! |

Lochinny: Please can someone help me out I don't know what credentials you are evaluating but only a first degree BEFORE any other PG diploma/degree counts as 2 or more certificates. So if you evaluated say OND and BSC (and u maybe used ur ND to get direct entry to uni), it doesn't count as 2 or more certifications.

40manlappy: I assume that your old passports have expired and apparently no longer qualify as "valid travel document". Since your new passport does not have stamps, visa and markings, upload the biodata page of the passport only as expressedly requested by IRCC.
You may wish to include in your LOE that passports that "carry" your travel history, visa refusals/rejections have expired. In any case, you would have to make reference to them while filling the travel history section of the eAPR.
The above is what I would have done if faced with the scenario that you described. In my own case, I uploaded the biodata page and pages with visas and stamps/markings in my current passport only and provided the required travel history in the eAPR.
cc: SlowlybtSurely, merrymum, Beem4cupid, Arcayo The annoying thing sometimes with this CIC folks is they say one thing on the site and expect different from applicants (though this is based on the individual VO). For example, they say upload only your educational certificates but I have read of cases that were refused because the applicant didn't also add his IELTS and ECA reports. Personally, I believe that the travel history is checked against the immigration stamps on our passports for consistency. What I did was to scan all the stamped pages in my old and new passports but added the bio data page of only my current passport. |

sammyacbxyz: Good morning, Please, I need help with making a decision. I am in the EE pool with 401 score and I received NOI from Ontario. Written ielts 3 times in search of 8 in listening. Latest ielts score is LRSW 8.5, 5.5, 7, 7
1. Should I accept NOI and apply for PNP? 2. Should I retake IELTS... 4th time or request re-mark for reading? Or, 3. Should I be hopeful scores fall to 401 in next 2 draws if it continues to fall at present rate?
This my small head wants to blow up. Help pls! Hello. I think you should do option 2 because the minimum acceptable score in each band is 6. See screenshot below:

Adventure15: @ Ehrnie @ Optionese and all the gurus in the house - Can someone help with this PCC in lagos. I am also not in lagos like @ Optionese.
I can send my data to the person and pay for stress . Any body in the house who can help with this in lagos ??.
@ optionese if you find somebody willing to help let me know.
Please house and the gurus let somebody in lagos voluntarily take up this if not too busy to help those outside Lasgidi. Many thanks in advance - Am sure there are lot more people in the house who will use this service. There will also be some gain in it ofcourse.
Many thanks once again to all the contributors to this forum. keep the pace !!!! Thanks to ya all ....... see ya all in Canada !!! lol ! I did mine in PH where I live. I also did one in 2013 in Umuahia Abia State. It doesn't matter where u are. Go to a police station (even if they don't do it there, they will direct u to the branch that is in charge of it). They will send the documents to Lagos for processing and tell u when to pick it up. It will Def cost more than the 5k if u were in Lag (I paid 11k) and you get it in a week. You don't really need to stress yourself with going to Lag or looking for who to send. |

I am new here. I just got my ITA yesterday. Please I need to find out if its possible to update/ change my NOC code from 2172 to 2171. Would it pose a problem to my application? Yes you can, as long as it doesn't affect your score. |

Hello house. Please I have a question about PCC. For PCC from other countries (say those who did FBI or UK PCC), must it be stamped or the signature is enough? The Angolan PCC we got does not have a stamp or seal, just the authorizing signature. Thanks for your help. |

perks: Hi Gurus, fantastic thread. I have really been educated on the express entry process. However, I have a question I would like clarification on. I intend applying together with my wife. But the thing is, we have not done change of name for her after our marriage. So her docs n intl passport still bears her maiden name. Can we go through the entire process and land in Canada without issues or do we need to do a change of name. Note we have our marriage certificate. Those with similar circumstance that have succeeded should kindly share their experience. Thanks I'm still using my maiden name and I'm the PA. Name doesn't matter to oyibo people o. It's your choice really. My hubby says no be my name go stall im Canny dream so it's up to u. |
