Dividends of fighting a war in two fronts with NDA and Boko haram. |
It's pertinent to note that all dissenting voice in this administration are taken out, broken and humiliated one after another. Metu is silenced , FFK is currently being humiliated, presidency may be looking for way to silence Fayose (heard about travel restrictions on a South west governor, your guess is as good as mine). Ben Bruce is new in the system and haven't stolen anything so nothing can be traced to him. I'm sure EFCC is frantically searching for unremitted tax, or any irregularity in Bruce's business to bring him down or break him. I don't support looting of public funds however I genuinely think some people are witch hunted simply to silence them. This is a bad precedent for the administration , something we will not forget in a hurry. The want a state like North Korea where everyone is expected to praise the ruling government, anything short of that is "unpatriotic". A stitch in time saves nine. It's time for the president and APC members rethink their position. We have enjoyed freedom for a long time, anybody trying to silence dissenting voices will face a stiff opposition and risk violent breakage of this country. |
Time to restructure Nigeria, time to diversify. Every state should survive by its internally generated revenue and pay tax to the center. Land use act should be reviewed, lands need to be returned to original owners. I don't want any northerner telling me that land belongs to federal government, that federal government can decide to create grazing field anywhere. This fight is for everyone, at least Benue people will finally have peace in a Restructured Nigeria. |

Nigeria is on the verge of collapse, many thanks to our divisive CIC. Cry no more for naira, cry (or rather rejoice) on a country about to collapse. Once the avengers reduce production more, the center would no longer hold, the cookies will start to crumble. A new nation will usher in. When salt loses it's saltiness, it would be thrown way. By then naira will be completely worthless. Ask Zimbabwe, they have been there before. |
This our president will never disappoint, never. All his ministers including his commissioner vice are afraid of him. They do exactly what he dictates. They only push their opinion or advice harder when the whole system is about to collapse . They will kneel and beg : Oga economy is about to crumble o- devalue now, remove subsidy, negotiate with avengers! If your ministers fail, it's because you didn't allow them freehand. It's all your fault and failure! Yorubas supported and gave you Osinbajo hoping he will run the government like Idiagbo. It was a terrible mistake they will regret for a long time. Finally, it turns our stomach to hear you blame past administration one year on. You have not been able to handle anything.... Literally anything. From Petrol availability to economy to corruption fight to negotiations. Even tomato pest, you and your team couldn't control. Where I work, if a team member fails, we have all failed. It's a team work. |
Yorubas do make sense and have many intellects. Wonder what pushed them to present quagmire? True fiscal federalism is the way to go. As they are discovering more oil, gas and bitumen in the West, they are now seeing the need for true federalism as being fought over the years by SS and SE only. |
The dullard only attends properly to issues only when he's about to be drowned. Think about low IQ, Buhari is low IQ personified. How about crushing avengers, is he tired? We advised him that military won't work, he went ahead with a fight he couldn't even scratch his opponent. And the zombies, they will always support him. If buhari says crush, they all shout crush. If he says let's make peace, they will say this is the best option. Buhari supporters are the most pitiable set people presently roaming planet earth. |
Blinks205:Dreamer, I am a Christian. |
Trouble may last for the night but joy comes in the morning. Be of good cheer, it's for a while. Things will turn around for good for everybody. |
aaronson:Everyone has turned to an economist. You are spewing thrash. |
SamuelAnyawu:He was forced to do the right thing. Economy was collapsing. Venezuela's case would have been a child's place. |

The dullard refused to devalue thinking that oyibo people wanted to mess with his economy. The same way illiterate north thinks that vaccination is a premeditated tool to depopulate Africans / Muslims. We should have left this man to peaceful herd his 150 cows in Daura . Smh |
Sharia should have no place in Nigeria laws |
Congrats Chimamanda! |
No matter how painful it is, flexible exchange rate is the best option. Though it came very late. |
Temidayo9:And what makes you think I'm in Lagos and lazy? Who's a leader? Buhari? Lol, you must be from another planet. |
Ways in which Buhari failed : 1. Monetary policy : If naira was devalued on time and as at when due, we would not have had capital flights. Foreign companies would have taken the advantage of weakened naira to invest and take advantage of low operating costs. In so doing, our economy will be strengthened. What we now see is slowing manufacturing activity and capital flights. How do we diversify from oil when investors are taking off? Venezuela toed this path and failed. We should look up to Russian monetary policies, very sound. 2. Corruption Fight : Buhari's corruption fight is largely against his political opponents making him look like a hypocrite. All opposition voices have all been invited to EFCC. I can assure you that if Amaechi, Tinubu and Fashola were in opposition, they would have all been behind bars by now. This has made many people, including foreign nations lose confidence in his corruption fight. 3.Tactless Coments : Life and death are in the power of tongue. Buhari has been very careless in his statements. His statement and actions alone fueled secessionist movements and increased bombing of pipelines in niger delta. Each time he mentioned the word "crush", more pipelines go up in flames. 4.Poor Planning : All evidence shows that Buhari was not ready to rule this country. It took him six months to appoint ministers. He doesn't also seem to have a road plan. He thoroughly lacks understanding of how to develop this nation. He thought it was as simple as ABC. His idea was to sell oil, use proceeds for infrastructural development and a welfare state. A recipe for failure as seen presently in Venezuela. Add Yours |
Fayose my man. The lion of Yoruba land. |
I stand by emancipation of niger delta and freedom of Igbos who Nigerians find it very hard to forgive. I stand by Niger delta republic and also an Igbo Republic. Igbos can always bring their goods through Inland water ways through a friendly territory. Oil is a mirage. |
As the two weeks ultimatum expires and no single nda militant caught, federal government has been forced to negotiate. I hope these guys are serious with their demands, anything short of a final pullout from Nigeria is unacceptable. They should demand a true fiscal federalism as a precursor and revoking of land use act. Every region should be in control of their lands, lives and resources. No more intimidation. |
Finally age is creeping in. |
IPOB is not same as stupid Boko Haram encouraged by northern oligarchs. It's a duly registered organization unlike terrorists boko organization. These guys will mess with Nigeria government if they don't handle them carefully. Buhari will only be president for four years, nobody knows what will happen after that. Next president might release him and pay heavily for damages, that is if they don't ground the present government through economic sabotage using untraceable affiliate organizations. |
I feel so bad about this government. It's a shame we have Osinbajo, Fashola, supposed intellects while economic policies are next to nothing? If this is Emefiele's and Amosun idea, then they should be sacked with immediate effect. I strongly believe that it's the illiterate president that's pushing against devaluation. My question:who's currently enjoying N199/$ exchange rate? Naira has already sank it's natural level at about 350-360/$. Everything we buy in the market is bought at this rate, right from petrol to rice and to pencil. Not devaluing naira is fraudulent. Whoever that's getting dollar at N199 is getting free money from government at the expense of the people. In fact it's both fraudulent and corrupt to keep naira at a rate below what ordinary citizens are getting it. Shame on all you incompetent government team. |
It's easier to wait when things are progressing even at a snail. How are we going to have patience when things are getting worse on daily basis. What has your administration done properly without trial and error? Name it : Monetary policy, Subsidy, Protection of pipelines, rule of law, diplomacy, National cohesion. Which of these have you handled properly for people to trust you? I thought you had something to offer initially, I just found out that all of you are all incompetent noise makers. |
Is he afraid of his allies from the west? Or is he rearranging military to avenge the avengers? Buhari must be very confused now. I pity him. |
It's a possibility that these guys are sponsored by disgruntled politicians from SS and SE. However, it may finally serve a good purpose. These regions has been practically raped of their natural resources. |
It's always been about the east. Before advent of oil, the whole nation was relying on Enugu coal. That's why the first rail line was from Enugu to port Harcourt so that it could be exported. Groundnut, oil palm, cocoa were all regional agricultural products. Don't tell us lies. In terms of accommodation, northerners has been in habit of killing their visitors at the slightest provocation, even before independence. You guys speak in between your mouths and will always be parasites. Both South South and South East are willing to have their nations, Biafra and Niger delta Republic. I don't care how it happens but we need to leave. |
Setting a bad precedent. It means that Ese and others rescued were all hiv+ since their results were not made public? Henceforth, anyone anyone released without publicly announcing their status is positive. Besides, there should be a follow up after three months to be sure. As for Sahara reporters, what happened to privacy? In a more civilized climes, they might be sued for damages. That said, there are other nasty diseases apart from HIV, eg Hepatitis B, HPV that can progress to cancer and the lesser evil herpes. Hiv+ result is not a death sentence, the young girl has her life ahead of her with or without hiv. |
