Team December..how una dey, hope we are all basking in the euphoria of second semester? well, for somebody like me wey no sabi the meaning of morning sickness, i just dey flex dey go wallahi..i sometimes forget i am even pregnant and it is my first baby o..God dey shaa..i hope by now, we av all taken our 1st TT injection at least? i am going for the second one nxt month..May God continually see us through oo Amen.

I cannot thank God enough for safe delivery.
At 36weeks I went for antenatal and my BP was high, was admitted for 5days to stabilise the BP and asked to come back for admission for elective CS at 37wks +.(Already had a previous CS so no option of induction).

Wednesday July 11th the planned day for the CS, I was being prepared to be taken to the theatre, then my BP went up again, the consultant had to to give me anti hypertensive drug with as little water as possible before moving me to the theatre.

I was in the theatre and the usual 30mins CS was running into over 1hr:30mins. The struggle started from even trying to bring out the baby, eventually my baby boy was brought out with him screaming. I was running out of strength BP was extremely high at this point (the doctors were considering the option of putting anti hypertensive drug under my tongue) Anastasia was wearing off as I was beginning to feel pain, I was given injection to kill the pain but at this point I was already loosing strength. I was placed on oxygen, why I kept asking the surgeon how long will it take for them to complete the suturing as it seems it was taking forever.
The surgeons response was " madam this is a tough one for us too, please try & be strong".

How I made it out of that theatre alive can only be God. I say thank you to almighty God that divinely intercepted my having the delivery in a private hospital. If one of the senior surgeons with all the team of doctors in a govt hospital can be telling me this is a tough one for us. I don't know what would have happened to my enemy if I had delivered in a private hospital.

Please whenever you pray remember to always help me thank God that brought me out of the valley of the shadow of death

Baby is doing great, mother is recovering fast, father super excited, big bro can't wait to be able to carry his brother.

Present oo. Gradually aproaching the end of ist Trim and i cant wait for MS to free me . I am using bitter cola now and it helps manage the spitting. All glory to God.

Sorry my dear, I vomited 6 times today, so unusual. After taking Lipton, I was relieved. I later took hollandia yoghurt, vomited again. Then I made dry fish peppersoup ( dry fish, enough pepper, salt and seasoning cube), and took it with little white rice. I am feeling good now.

Thank you. Watermelon calms me for like 10mins only. I just stopped taking folic acid and started pregnacare plus thinking it will help ease d nausea and vomiting. But its the same or worse. I am 10weeks gone. Someone helppppppp

lolz honestly sorry ehn? U ll soon get over it.was admitted last two weeks and after d drips n treatment.... I was given one tablet that doesn't allow me vomit once I Take it first n very early in d morning. Since then its bye bye to ms. MY BIRTH STORY
Pregnancy period
I conceived miraculously after 2.9yrs of ttc after so many tests, drugs, hospital visits, spending money etc. I had multiple fibroids and was told to do a surgery, i took in unexpectedly the month i was scheduled to do the surgery. The pregnancy period was very challenging for me, at 6 weeks i had high malaria from then onwards one issue or the other. MS was all day sickness for me and no remedy worked for me. i went days without food cos anything i taste must come out even water, i was being rushed to the hospital almost every week to take drip cos of extreme weakness, i could hardly stand without being supported. I lived on A.vomine every 5am bf anything enters my mouth, then i could now eat one plain eko/agidi and cold water for the day. I also took alot of youghurt.

MS lasted for 5 full months and sometimes show face until after 7 months b4 I started eating, I lost so much weight that you will see Belle but won't see who is carrying it grin grin
So thyphoid fever, fibroid degeneration, premature contractions and bleeding/spotting landed me on admission 7 times. I was told the fibroids were getting bigger and have increased to 5 so the baby might not survive. They were also located at the mouth of the cervix causing a lot of pain, I could not stand, sit or walk for 10 mins cos the weight was resting on the fibroids. I was placed on bed and pelvic rest, no work only go to the bathroom and no kpekus (that one pain dh ehen grin tongue tongue). Also had a strange numbness and pain in my right thigh called meralgia parastetica

I was told that VB will be risky for me so at 34 weeks I should come for steroids for the baby then they will carry out cs. Hubby no gree o, see me see undecided lipsrsealed he said his stand is no cs. Na prayers sort that matter o, thank God it was not too late.

The birth
So fast forward to 39 weeks, I went in for a cs after mild drama from dh, he was looking at my pix throughout the night, ha I said to myself. This oga take it easy na, am coming back o.
I had shaved the day before and catheter was put, was cleaned in the theater and given General anasthesia in my iv line. They were praying when I went off, I could only hear my music from afar. I felt like I was in a big spiral tube spinning round and round, I saw myself going up to different places, I saw a garden with flowers, a fiery red place, an ugly giant, my head and tongue felt so swollen. I was told I was shouting Jesus and screaming 4 different times I came out of the anasthesia, they had to give me 50mg 4 times and later switched to a different drug cos I was trying to stand up from the operating table, I even kicked their tools on the table, male nurses were called in to hold me down. My family outside were already crying and praying bcs the whole hospital could hear my screams.

Meanwhile I heard my baby was brought out by 10:45am with cord around his neck, I heard his cry from another world and that was when I started coming back. From unconscious state I was saying thank you Jesus, my baby, my baby. I didn't know that he was brought to me and I prayed for him with all the drs and nurses saying amen. He was taken to my dh who also prayed for him.

Part two of the surgery began, trying to remove the fibroids. 3 were seen, two were removed but the third one was blocking the cervix and had some adhesions so he couldn't remove it. The Dr later asked me how I managed to conceive with the fibroods and adhesions. I was in the theater for almost 2 hours and everyone outside was afraid but thank God for bringing me out alive. I was taken to the recovery room and another pain started, my back was paining me seriously. I was crying and begging them to turn me.on my side but they refused bcs of the stitches, I was in so much pain and was given injections to knock me out. I woke up by 5pm and asked for my baby to pray for him again, I was asking if he is cute .

Post birth
I stayed in the hospital for 5 days after which I was discharged. I fell ill immediately after naming, from malaria to typhoid, low pcv of 24, swollen legs which started after birth, stomachaused by intestinal gut obstruction, stooling and vomiting and thrombosed pile. Ha, na only me waka come? Was admitted for another 6 days and did a mini procedure to unclot the haemorrhoid. I could not feed my baby and he refused to take formula, when I hear him crying I will start crying too. I had to beg them to hold him beside me and I started breastfeeding while lying down. I was discharged and told to be on a strict liquid diet for 3 weeks. Still on it but am very strong now, thanks to God.

I appreciate all the Mam's here who have kept this thread alive, I learnt so much. Thank you for your prayers and encouragement. Team June like no other, thank you all. I pray for all the ttc and waddling Mama's, we shall read your testimony soon. Porting to the new born thread but will peep in here from time to time, vigilante is so real. God bless you all

Aww teamie! Have u gone to see ur doctor? Though i heard in some cases its normal.
Just observe it and if u r not comfortable rush to d hospital pls so u can be checked. I have also been having cramps these few days too esp at night but no bleeding. They said the uterus is expanding but it sometimes puts fear in me but i know God is in control. Pls rest well and dont stress urself,u will be fine by Gods grace. Other feb mamas hope u r doing fine...Geesucc,glimpse,faithpeace. Sending us all positive energy

I hope its normal. I haven’t bled again, just the earlier spotting I observed so i dont need to panic right? Thanks for the ray of hope

I m going true a lot right now.. Mine is not just Ms, it's Ms, As,Es, and Ns.. I don't sleep at night I vomit tru out..I v not eating anything for days now but still vomiting.. No strength Dnt even knw wt to do now..

yeah @cherry my ms was n is a very tough one, weakness, headache, loss of appetite, vomit, dizziness, n all but there wasn't excessive urination or thirst.... I couldn't even take water I take chivita or chi exotic daily. When doc asked n I told her she said all is well that by the time I start eating well all will be normal that it happens. But I should stay away from sugary drinks. But now I also notice that I urinate much Dh said maybe it because I take too much water. I take two big Eva water daily. Lolz I'm serious o. I kukuma gbakamu n made water my friend instead of my regular chi! or hollandia yoghurt. Well that's what she said sha! Dh even suggested for scan to b sure if baby was in good condition n gbam! We did n guess!d boy or girl just de shake yansh e dey jolly for him mansion! Lols it really put a big smile on our faces seeing our LO . I'm grateful @cherry @ayabadamilola n all awon iya oloyun God go bless una o.

All glory to God, you will be fine IJN , just take more veggies than fruits and reduce your juice/soda intake .

Sure you can! it's an OTC drug. You may however stop to folic acid cos it has the RDA.

Good afternoon lovely mummies and mummies to be. Please how safe is pax inhaler? Seems to be my only source of relief from MS.

Take it with fesolate. Folic acid is once daily and fesolate can be once or twice daily (I think the dosage depends on the level of your PCV)
But you can start with once a day until you meet your doctor.
My PCV was 37 and I was only on Pregnacare original with folic acid one a day. Now I only take pregnacare original.
I didn't think I needed the fesolate since Pregnacare works for me. That's what my sister used all through her pregnancy and I like it cos it contains a lot.
Anyway, by the time you start antenatal or see your doc, you will be asked to go for PCV to check your levels.
But in the meantime, use the folic acid and fesolate

Its called first trimester sickness in fact three months sickness! My dear today makes us two months n I'm just eating food today! D food self gat no taste! I use bitter leaf spoil d life! After eating I'm still feeling as if I wanna throw up.. Mind u...this is my third baby o. Lemme advice u. Always keep chi exotic and cracker d yellow one o beside u. D chi exotic has sour taste....tell someone to always make pap for u in d morning. Sip cold pap once u finish brushing +early morning vomit lol. ....I hope this helps coz it did for me.
