E be like na certificate forgery be the way now.

If that NYSC thing is true, then the man shouldn’t remain on that seat. Pre-election matter or not. Forgery is forgery.

See the power we all have as a people? If only we could use the same energy to demand for better infrastructures from our thieving politicians, then the generation after us would have been proud of us.

READ Again!

Legislative power= The National Assembly
Executive power = The President
Judicial power = FCT Courts
Read what you quoted again it’s stated there as well
PoliticsRe: Wike Not Answerable To N’assembly — Falana, Adegboruwa by meum: 12:43am On Sep 20, 2023
AmazingELixir:
The fact that the NASS has oversight responsibilities on the the FCT is not in doubt and in specific term the NASS has a dedicated oversight committee on the FCT that had at one time paid the FCT minister a visit.

For the senator to say that the FCT minister which is an appendage of the executive arm doesn't have executive powers is laughable....Will the national assembly make laws and execute it themselves...isn't that tantamount to usurping the power of the president who is constitutionally recognised as the chief executor In the FCT..

Going by your logic the judges of the Federal High courts in the FCT should also surrender their judicial powers to the NASS which by all intent and purposes will be nothing short of anathema. The Constitution recognizes checks and balances amongst the arms of government but more importantly there are clear boundaries...NASS makes law, the Presidency execute while the judiciary interprets.
The logic isn’t different from what you stated. The Minister needs to work with the National Assembly. A governor of a state has executive powers but needs a legislative backing. No reason for all what we are witnessing.

PoliticsRe: Wike Not Answerable To N’assembly — Falana, Adegboruwa by meum:
Hahaha. I may not be a SAN, but isn’t this clear enough to understand?

“(a) all the legislative powers, the executive powers and the judicial powers vested in the House of Assembly, the governor of a state and in the courts of a state shall, respectively, vest in the National Assembly, the President of the Federation and in the courts which by virtue of the foregoing provisions are courts established for the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.”

Where is the Senator wrong? The same way a state governor seeks legislative approval is what is expected of the President in the case of Abuja. The constitution didn’t recognize any other person so appointed by the president (in this particular section hence the focus on the president). Wike is just a minister who should report to/work with both the president and the National Assembly like any other minister.

It’s true the president might not have the time to administer Abuja so the Minister should represent the president with respect to Abuja & carry the National Assembly along.
PoliticsRe: Fuel Subsidy: FG's Meeting With NLC Ends In Deadlock by meum:
NLC leaders when you guys were smiling with Daddy Seyi I was over here laughing. Like I said before, nobody shines his teeth during industrial action negotiations. It’s serious business. Nobody calls off an industrial action if parties involved haven’t implemented or committed in writing to the agreement reached. These guys in power are the typical 9ja politicians who don’t keep to their promises. Now see as dem Dey use una Dey catch cruise. Na so una go negotiate till tenure finish.

As NLC presido, if dem threaten to arrest you invite them to come & always be prepared but trust me they won’t. Even if they do it won’t last. It’s a democracy not a military regime.

They should “let the poor breathe…”

This is what happens if you don’t have a plan. Removing subsidy wasn’t the problem. It’s what plan they had to cushion the effects of the removal. Their only plan was to share 1 bag of rice per village to cushion the effects of subsidy removal. Mtcheww

Please pick up and read books on the subject of critical reasoning before 2023 comes to a close. There is absolutely no good reason why a supposed adult should reason life and things the way you continue to. undecided
I think you need the book more than I do. You obviously feel the Dick, Tom & Harry was a good line of reasoning. I’m sorry to let you know this: it wasn’t. Grab a book on critical reasoning & learn.

So because she has a nose like that, she should have accepted any Tom, dick and Harry who came her way? Many of you here are just clear indicators that the Nigerian mental health industry is in terrible condition. undecided
What if all the men that will come after her cry are still Tom, Dick & Harry? Will she still reject them?
Madam, among Tom, Dick & Harry exist that man/boy she is crying for. Good thing is she still has a chance to choose because Tom, Dick & Harry are coming back😁

If this isn’t the same nose the mother or the father has then she should go & ask the mother a few questions.

So OBJ that was President from 1999 - 2007 isn’t Yoruba? Where Awolowo & Abiola failed OBJ & BAT succeeded.

In your write up you mentioned that those in charge now need not complain as the immediate past administration was installed by the same people in power now. Hmmm. We can see that that’s not the case as they are already saying they inherited a bad situation/economy. Someone helped them out by describing the situation they inherited as a standing dead horse.

Truth is, Nigerians shouldn’t expect much. Let them surprise us. That way we will not be too disappointed 😁
