Everything you said I had thought about them before the elections. Remember buhari contested 3 times before 2015 when forces joined in 2015 to secure him victory. It’s the same Atiku, Kwankwaso et al that helped Buhari secure victory finally.

Imagine if Kwankwaso was strongly persuaded to be a running mate to a southern candidate(not necessarily Obi) then other influential northern politicians that were opposed to APC supported the ticket. You think Tinubu would have still got much votes in the north? I don’t think so. Even if he did M-M ticket plus an all M party membership drive. He wouldn’t have got half of what that combined team would have got.

Politics is a game of numbers & it's not always about my way or the highway all the time. Some times you have to stoop to conquer.

What we saw in the election was I own the crowd. Even Kwankwaso knew that Kano is all for him he knew within him he couldn’t win anywhere else. He only needed to be spoken to in a language he understood. He would have suspended his ambition until the right time.

Imagine a formidable force like this against the APC that wasn’t doing so well.

Something Atiku should have championed - a power shift to the south. This would have changed the dynamics of the election.
